“Great holiday experience all round”

This is a lovely hotel which I can really recommend . The staff were lovely and helpful . Our room was comfortable and clean . Breakfast was amazing , the choice was excellent . I would certainly return to this hotel if coming to Menorca . We had a great holiday , thank you

We stayed here for 5 nights and it was faultless really for the half board option. Rooms are huge and pretty modern - was a bit worried with the slightly dated corridors, but our ground floor apartment had plenty of space and furnished much better than the wicker you get in some hotels. Pool area in October was quiet even with 23-25oC every day and maintained / cleaned every day. No towels need to be left out for sun beds here ! Don’t forget the spa for any colder days either - well kept pool, sauna and steam rooms all included. Seen a few recent reviews of the food but have to say for a buffet service, both breakfast and evening meals were really, really good. Breakfast is repetitive but not much else you can do; whereas evening meals were on par with going to a restaurant. Fresh pizzas made in front of you, meat and fish hot plate, then 4-5 different mains. They don’t do all inclusive which helps keep the hotel quieter in a way but a beer with your meals was only £3 and aperol £8 so they’re not taking the p at all. We stayed with a 4 month old baby and the staff were excellent with him in all parts of the hotel and grateful for the travel cot put up for us. No cons at all really. No issues ever stating again.

Room we had was of a high standard and comfortable. Immaculate and clean pretty much throughout the hotel and grounds. Fridge doesn't have an ice box and the lounge sofa beds are not the most comfortable for sitting but ok for sleeping. The charge for the safe at 20 euro pw (plus 5 Euro deposit) we thought was far to high compared to other hotels we have stayed in. FYI Tourist tax here is 3.3 euro pp pn. Staff were all professional, friendly and efficient. We were B&B but did try the weekly BBQ but some food was cold, others dry, tasteless and with a chemical taste that comes from charcoal not reaching temperature before cooking. I wouldn't recommend the BBQ. Food was plentiful buffet style, though not the most inspiring on the other evening we opted to stay in. Pool area is great, we had a club sandwich from the pool bar as good as any we've had, ice cold beer was excellent too! Hotel entertainment was pretty much as you would expect, decent enough if you didn't want to venture out. The is a supermarket next door but a better choice near the marina, short cut through the car park about 5-7 minutes. Beach is nearby and the lighthouse 20-25 minutes walk all on the flat apart from the bridge over the marina. Both best accessed from the front of the hotel. We did make a few requests of the hotel prior to our arrival all of which were met and exceeded our expectations. All in all, a great break and we would happily stay here again but only B&B due to the choice at the marina.

The Macarena suites and Spa is a high quality 4 star Aparthotel well situated near the marina and the small beach at Cala n Bosch . Firstly the rooms, we had a pool view suite which is really an apartment with a living/dining/kitchen area and separate bedroom. Bathroom had both a bath tub and spacious shower stall, excellent, water always hot . Large balcony with table and 4 chairs plus a smaller balcony off the bedroom . The rooms really are excellent . Next the outside areas, beautifully kept grounds with a brilliant pool area , no saving beds and no food or drink at the pool so it stays lovely and clean, there’s a pool bar for drinks and snacks adjacent . Best thing was no smoking in outdoor areas ( although we were troubled by neighbours smoking on balcony ). The bar is attractive with a large terrace, maybe lacking character, very brightly lit. Staff all lovely, everywhere clean. The 2 areas which need attention are firstly the corridors, they are drab and carpets need replacing in places . Secondly the food, there’s lots of lovely fresh fruit and salad, good bread and cheeses, pizzas are good. Food from the show kitchen is good but often the queue is long and slow. What lets it down is the rest of the hot food offering, it’s not hot at all, always cold, cold pasta, vegetables, breakfast food, main courses. There’s a microwave but that’s not the answer, heat lamps and hot plates are clearly not effective enough.
