Absolutely brilliant from beginning to end 😔 cannot rate this hotel highly enough, the staff are outstanding, we have decided to come again next year. I chose this Hotel for its rooms as we are used to Villa holidays and I wanted more than just a room. The security attached to hotel stays is why we stayed having had an awful time last year when the Villa we rented was burgled while we slept on our 3rd night it completely ruined our holiday I now only feel safe within a hotel setting and this Hotel fulfilled all my wants and needs.

“Wonderful break”

We enjoyed our fourth visit to Macarella. As always we had a great time, very laid back. Rooms very spacious and very clean. Food was extremely good and the dining room staff were all great. Any little issues sorted out immediately. Can't wait to go back.

Excellent Hotel, facilities and rooms and most of all caring and attentive Staff. Unfortunately badly let down by extremely poor dining experience, particularly the evening meal. Whilst the food is plentiful and there is a reasonable variety, the 'Chefs of the day' inability to cook it properly and present it in a timely manner at the servery was really frustrating and well below the 4 Star rating the rest of the hotel justly deserves. What a great shame.

“Very nice but …..”

First the best: lovely quiet hotel within a 2 min walk to bars, shops , restaurants, beach and venturing further on foot. Staff helpful and attentive, rooms cleaned daily, spotless and spacious. First the best: lovely quiet hotel within a 2 min walk to bars, shops , restaurants, beach and venturing further on foot. Staff helpful and attentive, rooms cleaned daily, spotless and spacious. Tv has english channels. Fridge and safe, cooking facilities, if you really need to do that when on hols! Towels changed daily, pool towels free on Tues and Fri. Plenty of available sunbeds all times of the day at pool - a most relaxing area too. Now the bad: room was situated overlooking supermarket and road, woken very early every morning with lorries delivering, cages being wheeled into hotel, bin lorries collecting daily refuse and glass bottles. We have early morning start jobs at home and a much needed lie in was what we looked forward to - ask to be moved if you are allocated anywhere near rooms 341 to 351 and below!! Lift access not available to every floor you have to get out and lug suitcases up flight stairs, vice versa. Same to pool area so if you have difficulty using stairs bear this in mind Breakfast: YUK! Tried two days but we ended up eating breakfast out. Eggs either not cooked properly or stone cold and congealed, bacon like strips of plastic, sausage disgusting, beans swimming in juice, only one coffee machine working, queue horrendous! Though plenty choice of donuts, pastries, cereals, bread, cold meats and cheese, fruit, etc. Snack bar was fine though. Cant comment about evening meal as we were B&B only. Only a small children’s pool nothing else for them would say okay for kids up to age 5. We would return if we requested pool view room to avoid early morning noise and if the restaurant could improve.
