Back from another amazing stay at the Globales Mediterrani, our 2nd time this year. We stayed in one of the junior suites again which had a pool and part sea view. We were there the last week of the season and I was worried whether the food would be as good as our first time and despite some of the negative reviews recently regarding the food we found it just as good if not better than when we went in May/June. It can be a bit repetitive at times but mainly just at breakfast and lunch. But in the evenings they did different theme nights and was always great. The hotel itself is so clean and well maintained, daily maid service with fresh towels each day. The best part about this hotel though is all the wonderful staff. I’ve never experienced such friendly and hard working staff in a hotel. The 3 ladies who were on reception were always so helpful and asking if we were enjoying our stay. The bar/pool bar staff were lovely and welcoming. Shout out to Joanna who was so professional at dealing with a drunk customer who was being extremely rude and aggressive to another member of staff and she managed to calm down the situation instantly. The 3 lifeguards were incredible with my 2 children, one of them often played football with my son and one of the others generally being great and playing with both my children. The entertainment staff work incredibly hard keeping both kids and adults entertained. Olga especially was wonderful with my daughter and made all the kids feel special. The restaurant staff work so hard keeping the dining area spotless. They all seem to work long shifts. Carlos who works in the restaurant, bar area, pool bar area never seemed to stop working. Was always very friendly and welcoming to me and my family and often came over for a chat. That guy deserves a promotion! Already thinking of booking to come back next year hopefully depending on availability.

“Family half term holiday”

Lovely hotel with everything you need nearby. Local beaches a nice little shopping area and bars and only 10euro in a taxi to the beautiful Ciutadella. The staff are attentive and helpful. Lovely hotel with everything you need nearby. Local beaches a nice little shopping area and bars and only 10euro in a taxi to the beautiful Ciutadella. The staff are attentive and helpful. Hotel is lovely and clean and great food. The beds were very comfortable. We had a room overlooking the back so it was fairly quiet. All in all a great hotel with fab staff.

This is a tricky review! Firstly the most important part is that I had a fantastic week and anything negative on this review is just for the fact that I wouldn't class it as a 4* platinum as it was sold to us. The hotel is spotlessly clean. The room is clean, spacious, we had a lovely bathroom, the beds were comfortable, amenities for tea and coffee, a fridge to store drinks, everything you need from a room, however there was a connecting door to the next room which made me quite nervous. They assured me that next door did not have a key but I did worry if housekeeping or anyone else left it open so was constantly checking it was locked (so apologies to the people next door who would have noticed the door handle moving). Moving onto the food, it wasn't very good. I found the restaurant area to smell a bit hospital food like, there really was not much on offer. The snack bar with burgers and chips was a bit of a god send though and we ate out most evenings. The staff I found not to be very hospitable. The majority of them seemed quite rude and like I was really putting them out asking for a drink etc. The reception staff and the daytime entertainment staff were very good though. The pools were freezing, I did get in once but for October I wasn't overly surprised. I was a bit gutted there wasn't an inside pool. As everyone else has said, there is a massive fly problem in this hotel. They were on food and everywhere you sat outside, was just constantly covered in flies. The tables were not cleaned quickly enough with empty drinks glasses/plastics etc. so this obviously attracted them. The location is great, it is a short walk to the local shops and bars. The beach is a stones throw away and we did get the bus to Citudella which was lovely. Overall, I had a great week but I wouldn't return. If you are looking for a 3* hotel in a quiet location then this would be a great place for you.

“VERY DISAPPOINTED”

Found on arrival at hotel we were charged tax we did not have a problem with,but were charged 35 euros for safe key and on leaving got 10 euros deposit back when giving key back left safe as we found it cannot under stand what the 25 euros was for,We also had problem with bath not cleaned after use… more

Found on arrival at hotel we were charged tax we did not have a problem with,but were charged 35 euros for safe key and on leaving got 10 euros deposit back when giving key back left safe as we found it cannot under stand what the 25 euros was for,We also had problem with bath not cleaned after use and caught cleaner cleaning out cups with spay and dirty cloth and some cartons of milk off ,also ants in room advised we had food in room but we did not eat in room, The restaurant had quite a few flys and hot food was most of the time Luke warm and very repetitive there was one person behind food and found he could not cope as a lot of trays empty. And had a choice of vegetables soup or onion soup Not impressed as this is a four star hotel more like three star .
