Son Esteve is conveniently located on the outskirts of Andratx, and about a 10 minute drive to Port d'Andratx. It's a little tricky to find using sat nav, but there are some road signs if you look carefully! It's a beautiful old farmhouse with a fascinating display of antique equipment in one part of the building. Breakfast is served at the table in a central courtyard, and there's enough food offered to satisfy the hungriest of people! All home produced and high quality, and served by Bernat the proprietor (who is quite a character!) My room was comfortable, but a little dark - the only light was from a small window close to a solid brick wall. There's a TV with just one English channel (should you want it) a safe lockable with a key (but too small to fit a laptop), and a bathtub in the bathroom. Wifi wasn't particularly good. I would've liked it if tea/coffee were readily available - I think they are if you ask, but a coffee maker would be much simpler. The pool area was fantastic. Stunning to look at, and very comfortable/relaxing, despite Son Esteve's proximity to the main highway. All in all, a very nice 2-night stay.

“Amazing historic family home, beautiful setting, fabulous breakfast and pool”

Hotel is a bit tricky to find but so worth it and only 30 mins from the airport. Hotel is a bit tricky to find but so worth it and only 30 mins from the airport. Amazing building, lovely places to sit ouside and eat one of the best home produced breakfasts including jams, yogurts and bakery made by the wonderful owner's mother.Pool particularly lovely with plenty of recliners and a large sofa area, with curtains for shade. Would have liked more time to chat to Bernardo whose family have been there since the 1800's. We are looking forward to a return visit to enjoy more relaxation time (very comfy beds) and exploring Andratx town where we also had a great seafood lunch reccommended by Bernardo.

“Rural quiet simplicity”

Not having been to Mallorca before we decided to visit in a quieter time of year. Despite the unchacteristically wet weather we have had a fantastic time. This finca offers comfortable rooms and a breakfast featuring home made marmalade, bread and fresh orange juice, as well as cheese, ham and cured sausage. The coffee tasted great too! The owner, Bernard, was convivial and offered suggestions for local activities and places to visit during our stay. We enjoyed the experience. We know we will come back again!

This small historic finca offers a very individual experience. Though close to the motorway which cuts a swathe through the estate (although you don’t notice it once you are there), it retains a rustic and somewhat eccentric atmosphere, reflecting the style of Bernat, the owner. The ground floor rooms adjoin the great hall of the original farmhouse and are comfortable rather than luxurious, and the ensuite is adequate if dated. It sounds as though the suites by the pool are more luxurious although we didn’t see them so can’t comment. The highlights were Bernat’s carefully orchestrated breakfasts - freshly squeezed orange juice from his own trees, excellent coffee and delicious homemade marmalade and apple & ginger jam, warm crusty bread & cheese, serrano ham and local tomatoes in special salted oil, with each day bringing different treats such as yogurt, honey & almonds or chocolate croissants. The order was a bit random and invariably the orange juice would arrive at the very end of the meal, but it was worth waiting for, and always accompanied by our host’s amusing repartee! An evening meal is available to order, but we preferred the busier atmosphere of restaurants in Port Andratx, a few minutes away by car. There was no private terrace so in summer you would need to relax by the pool, some 50 metres from the house, and take in the magnificent mountain views, almond orchards and orange trees. Definitely this finca offers a ‘different’ experience and one much loved by returning guests.
