This was our first time abroad with our kids (5, 8 and 10) so we didn't want to spend hours on a plane etc. We came across this gem and we're so glad we did. I honestly can't fault this place - we went self catering as we don't eat enough to warrant going all inclusive. If you change your mind or want to go all inclusive, you can buy all inclusive day tickets from reception. They also have cash if you need to exchange or withdraw money. I walked through the restaurant during meal times though just to have a look and the food looked/smelt good. All food is freshly prepared and there's a decent enough selection. I can see how some say it's a bit samey but I find kids generally eat the same thing anyway. It's not a la carte so don't expect it to be and if you're like me and you want to eat out, there are an abundance of restaurants down the road to choose from. A pirate will do the rounds on a weekend and sit randomly with families. The kids absolutely love it and it's hilarious to watch the parents looking so uncomfortable and unsure what to do lol. There's a supermarket a stones throw away up the road which has everything you need for your self catering stay. Rooms are basic - there's a hob, small kitchen area with toaster, kettle, microwave and basic utensils, bathroom, balcony, bedroom and living room (with 2/3 more beds). The beds I found to be comfortable. The cleaners come round most days (cleaning schedule can be found on the walls if you look) so you get fresh towels and sheets etc. Yes our fridge had a small amount of surface rust on the door. Did it affect the use of the fridge or bother me? Absolutely not! Rooms come with free air conditioning and there's free Wi-Fi at the resort too. There's a kids club run by Natalya who is amazing with kids - Monday to Saturday all day and a shorter day on Sunday. Kids get fed lunch even if you're self catering too. It's a small setting but they put on activities and when the kids want to leave you're contacted and just go and get them. If the kids go to the club on a Monday afternoon they can be in the show that night if they want to. The entertainment is fantastic for kids. Every day and night except for a Wednesday there is something on. Activities by the pool in the day - mermaid lessons, water polo, shooting, water fights, little shows (the pirate attack on Sunday afternoon is not to be missed!). It's all listed on the wall in reception so you can plan other activities around what you might want to do at the hotel. There's a small arcade with air hockey, pool tables and tennis tables too, plus a very small football pitch. Again - all very basic but it works. The mini disco is on every night followed by the evening show - I highly recommend the Disney and parrot shows. The shows are performed by the staff/pirates. It's clear they put a lot of effort in to these shows. They're not west end, but you have to remember who the target audience is - the kids! A different night show is put on on a Wednesday. The pool has a shallow slide pool and a main pool area which consists of pools of varying depths. Watch the videos on YouTube or find some on here if you need to. The pool area is surrounded by astroturf so the kids can run safely around the pool without the fear of slipping over etc. Sunbeds - I watched people from my balcony waste so many hours of their day sat waiting for the sunbeds to be unlocked every day (unless they genuinely wanted to spend those hours sat in their chairs scrolling through their phones alone?) DON'T! The sunbeds get unlocked about 9:30 and there's plenty to go around as long as you're respectful of others. Just go down when they're being unlocked. The pool opens at 10 anyway and closes at 18:00 every day (the pool is then fenced off for safety reasons). If you do find yourself without a sunbed, find Beverly (the customer services rep) or ask one of the lifeguards and they'll usually get/find you one from somewhere. I found the trouble with this place isn't necessarily with the resort itself. As with anywhere, it's the people that stay there that are usually the problem! People leave their cups/glasses strewn everywhere because "they're on holiday" or "they've got cleaners to do that" etc so when the pool area closes it can look a little messy. However, the cleaners are on it and tidy up every day. As with anywhere, things go wrong, but they have on site maintenance staff to sort out any issues once they are reported. Like I said before though - people waste hours waiting for a sunbed, then take 6 beds "just in case" and lie their inflatables or towels across them and then leave them for large portions of the day. Most people are respectful though and will offer their sunbeds if they leave the resort to go and do other things etc. I happened to be in reception on one of the days one family blatantly smuggled their mum/mother-in-law into the resort. "Security" is usually pretty good and there's always someone at the front of the resort checking to make sure that you have your wrist band on but given the amount of people staying, I've no doubt one or two slip through the net. It's wrong on many levels but that's down to their integrity. My kids absolutely loved this place. If you want to go somewhere where your kids will be happy and entertained then go here. You won't be disappointed. I've no doubt in my mind that we will be returning next year or in the near future while the kids are young enough to enjoy it. I thank all of the staff for making our stay so enjoyable and memorable. I genuinely don't think think we'll beat this place and for a first trip abroad, the bar has been set very high to say the least.

Rooms are small but clean Food very repetitive Pool had sudden drop off Most staff friendly Only have tables for family of 4 had to find more seats as we was family of 5 Entertainment very good pirate are good Wouldn't go back Not worth money we spent on it
