This hotel shared facilities with other Protur hotels in the immediate area. An excellent arrangement which gives guests access to many inclusive activities and themed restaurants, once your wrist band has been fitted off you go and enjoy. The themed restaurants and some sports needed pre booking, get there early if you want a bike. We were part of a multi generational party of 10 and all our apartments were spacious, modern and furnished to a good standard. Due to our ancientness my wife and I requested a ground floor room which we were delighted with. Overlooking the pool with a huge balcony it was perfect and the maid service 5 days a week was very efficient. As to be expected in a mass catering situation the main eating area was canteen rather than restaurant and the queues for food during busier times could be tedious. The food however was of an acceptable quality with plenty of variety and a chef was always on duty at the grill. Food also available at the pool bar during much of the day. The bars were adequately staffed and although the drinks weren't premium quality they were acceptable. The pool area itself was spacious. No shortage of sunbeds during our visit and the "Bubble" was great fun for the kids, a very safe area with two alert lifeguards on duty who were quick to stop any hazardous behaviour. The hotel manager seemed to be on duty 24/7 and it was his constant attention to detail that made our stay such a pleasant enjoyable experience. All members of staff were exceptionally friendly and efficient, the older gentleman with glasses who served in the main bar most evenings was our employee of the week. The hotel complex is in an excellent position very close to the beach and a flat, well kept, tree lined promenade which extends the length of the resort. There is a frequent, efficient bus service which stops close to the hotel back entrance. Use your card on the bus, cheaper than cash, tap it when you get on and again when you get off. This system works well and is cheap. Porto Cristo port/ beach area and the small town of Son Servera are both worth a visit. We are leaving today after an excellent holiday thanks largely to the efficient management of this hotel.

“Honest Disabled Review”

My daughter and I have just returned from 5 days at this hotel. I must say as a disabled traveller this hotel was perfect for my mobility scooter, I managed to access all areas with no hassle at all. Even the pool had steps and a handrail and also a chair to help disabled have a dip. The rooms were spacious, we were lucky enough to have an adapted room on the ground floor which was clean and had plenty of storage. The only fault I could find - and this is me being picky - was the bathroom floor was only tiles, and when walking out of the shower it became became very slippery. The food we found was very very good. We had lovely roast beef and steak,to mention just a few goodies. The breakfast was really good, english type sausages and all the usual breakfast foods. I would have thought that even the fussiest eater would find something. What would improve the hotel, in my opinion, would be waiter service for tea/coffee at breakfast and waiter service for drinks at lunchtimes and evening time in the restaurant. The staff were very friendly and helpful especially the guys in the show lounge, who delivered a good waiter service in the evenings. The reception staff were very efficient, our room was ready when we arrived at about 10.30 am. The evening shows were quite good, with an acrobat, and a very good rock band, which we enjoyed immensely. They also had a mini disco for the children which I found very entertaining - baby shark especially. My daughter and I really enjoyed this holiday and we hope to return next year, and I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel for any disabled traveller. Thank you to all.

“Ideal for a quick getaway”

Stayed at the Vista Badia mid-October. Check-in was fine and no problem paying the tourist tax as we had actually done some research before going and were aware of this. We were initially put in a room in the basement. Room itself was perfectly fine but it was just the location as we were 'below' the play park with a big hedge blocking off the pool. This meant at this time of year the room only go the sun for an hour or so first thing and we had to have the lights on the rest of the time. Coupled with virtually non-existent AC (more on that later) and that there was no air movement due to the location, the room was very hot and stuffy and a bit goldfish in a bowl. After one night was asked to more, which they accomodated willingly but had to wait another night. We were then put the 3rd floor in exactly the same lovely room but this time had proper light! We were overlooking the roof of the adjacent shops and the pool of the hotel over the road but it was 100% better. We found the AC not to work that well in this room either but we were we able to open the winds and high enough to get a draft to offset that. It turns out that the AC is motion controlled and goes off within a couple of minutes of you leaving the room and also at night when there is no movement. The whole point is you want to return to a cool room after being in the sun all day. Mentioned this at reception and was told it was to save energy keeping the costs down. At this precise moment, the TV nearby was playing a presentation boasting that the power for the resort comes from renewable sources saving costs so I pointed that out and said if its renewable energy, why are you still limiting its useage? No answer... The main dining room was the usual all-inclusive bun fight that was not really big enough for the amount of guests. The short opening hours may well have had something to do with this though - 2 hrs for breakfast and 2.5 for Lunch/Dinner. Food itself was perfectly fine and liked the theme nights where food from the restuarants in the resort was served. Only managed to get to to the Indian restuarant but this was top notch, albeit a bit rushed. Was even better when we had some of the same food in the buffet the next night! Pool was lovely and usually deep in places which made swimming more pleasant. Also managed to have a cheeky go on the 'bubble' when there were no kids on it, which was fun :) Would recommend hiring a bike if thats you thing as there is a continous smooth cycle path from S'illot to Cala Bona that winds along the wonderful prom and past the nature reserve for several miles. The roads further north are also quiet enough to ride along at a leisurely pace and I only found 1 hill! All in all, a lovely place to visit and we enjoyed it but I don't think I'd be quite so happy if I had paid high season prices for what you got.
