The place is very pretty and nice the rooms are clean every day the food is good and the beachs is not that far away from the hotel the stores are also close and most of all the people here are very nice and fun they are way kinder then i expected i think im coming back

This complex is beautiful. Stayed hear for 10 nights and will be sad to leave . The staff are friendly . Food is good . Pools are great . Rooms are clean and modern . The whole complex is kept clean and tidy by the staff that work hard . Location is great . Bus service and taxi service just a short walk up the road . Also a kids play area with bars shops and restaurants . The area is very chilled out . There is a small beach just a short walk from the hotel . We were worried after reading some negative reviews but there was no need . This place is truly stunning and we have had a lovely time . A holiday is what you make of it and you can’t please all the people all of the time . There will always be negative reviews . But for us it was a lovely break away and we highly recommend.

I hope my up to date review can inspire some travellers to try this hotel. We visited the “Calimera Fido Gardens” hotel in Cala d’or for 4 nights during May half term (end of May- beginning of June ‘24). The hotel was under new management in time for the new season. We arrived at midnight/ish. We were made to feel very welcome by the polite and friendly check-in assistant. Check-in took about 15 mins. I love the individual white wash complexes. We stayed in block 6. Room 6103. The room is spacious, a large bathroom and lovely terrace with 2 sun loungers, brolly and patio furniture and with a grassy area too. It was all well maintained. Bedding was a little skimpish. I did feel cold a couple of the nights. My daughter’s bed only had a sheet and a throw. I had a sheet, throw and a blanket which was admittedly a little itchy. We were only staying 4 nights so we didn’t request anything extra but I’m sure this wouldn’t have been an issue as everyone was so friendly. A few bath towels are provided. Pool towels are not provided neither are they hire-able. There is a hair dryer, hand wash available and body/hair wash in the shower. Shower worked great. Travellers be aware that there is no lift and the rooms are spread across blocks with 3 floors. The room walls are quite thin and what i thought was a storm, was actually people’s suitcases rolling on the ground at 4am and it woke me. The room is a little lacking in facilities as there is no kettle and no bottles of water (as the bar closed at 12-midnight and we arrived after 12-midnight, we couldn’t get a drink and we were so thirsty (after all the travelling). As an all inclusive guest, I would have liked a couple of drinks available in the rooms fridge. A small something to make note of. The room fridge was very efficient though! Tip to bring an empty bottle as there is access to water in the bar and restaurant area on tap. There is two large pools and one splash park. The pools are open 10am-6pm. The pools are clean and maintained. There has been life guards available every day we’ve been here. The layout of the pools and central island areas are stunning and look incredible. It was so relaxing to lay there. Food has been good and we are an incredibly fussy family. Times are approx as from memory // Breakfast is 7.30am-10am. Snack 11am-5pm. Lunch 12am-3.30pm. Dinner 6.30pm-9pm so there is always food available. The food is mostly well cooked and plentiful. It could be hotter and a couple of occasion the roasted pork was waaaay too pink for ourselves - admittedly it looked raw and fleshy. We left the pork cut open on the plate and as the waiter took our plate, he made a grimace “oops” face acknowledging why we’d left it. Mistakes happen, and thinner pieces had cooked more evenly. Every day the staff lined up to welcome us in to the dining hall and it was lovely. Entertainment, I can’t say there has been much during the day. The animation team are very visible by the pools walking around but there isn’t much of an atmosphere as it seems quite quiet for guest numbers. The Michael buble/frank Sinatra singer on Thursday evening was AMAZING! Mini disco daily at 8pm. On 1st June, there was more happening from the entertainment crew so I’m guessing this was the start of the season. I saw water aerobics, yoga, a mascot, pirate games and shuffleboard. Drinks are very fizzy and cold. Hot chocolate is lovely! All of the machines were always working too. No glasses are allowed round the pool and it was good to see this being enforced to protect all visitors when people were bringing glasses outside from the bar to the poolside. Bali beds are 22 euro per day hire Safe is 3 euro per day hire We ventured to the back of the hotel, next to the splash park there is a very small (but a bit sad looking) toddler park, a sandy sports court, a tennis court, a gym which looked closed down as all the equipment was taken apart and a teens club which also wasn’t open. There was a kids club inside reception but there wasn’t a lot on offer and what was on offer was more aimed at ages 2-5ish and everything had pieces missing, the pencils were almost down to the nib. My daughter is 10 and wasn’t interested. I read on another review from last year that there was a games room but we couldn’t find this anywhere apart from a single ping pong table so I’m guessing it had been removed. There is no shop on site but there is a spar (10 min walk). Thursdays - there is a market of handmade goodies opposite the spar shop. Bus outside the hotel to the town, 5 euro adult return, 3.50 euro child return. Overall this was a VERY relaxing holiday and we would give it a 4 out of 5 stars, and would definitely agree with the rating of this being a 3 star hotel. We would come back.

Hotel has just been refurbished and although very clean and tidy it is missing the fluff and jazz that I would expect in a hotel, feels like it has been opened before the finishing touches have been added. Room - Basic but clean, beds comfy, clean sheets and towels, bathroom a little dated but all in working order, the one thing I did miss was a kettle. Has a fridge, TV & Hairdryer. Restaurant - Caters for all, always had plenty of tables, could maybe do with a little more heat, not much in the way of labels, might be difficult to manage if you have allergies, but they did label the lactose free milk! Bar - All you need behind the bar, a couple of alcohol free cocktails on the bar menu, slushies and chocolate milk for the kids (or adults if that's your tipple) Entertainment - Once again lacking pazazz, not load enough and all done and dusted by 10pm, when its seems like everyone heads off to bed, lots of rooms overlooking this area so maybe this is why? Pools - Loads of loungers (some fancy cushioned beds not allowed to be used, not sure why) pools are lovely, a great kids pool behind the hotel, fenced off and with its own pool bar. Area - Lovely beach, shops & bars 5 mins walk from the hotel, the marina about 30 mins walk but worth it. Overall - I enjoyed my stay, The hotel is attractive and clean, the staff are friendly and helpful but I feel there could be a few tweaks to fluff the place up a little, would recommend if you have a young family. Note to the owner, reception is way too bland, add some colour and more plants, flowers or pictures, and a larger reception sign, the poor guys blend into the wall. The kids corner needs a major look at, a few toys and sofas do really add much I'm afraid. Kettles in the room would be a nice touch
