We had a wonderful stay Cala egos is a great location shops bars and beach places of interest (es forte is a must go to spot) and Mariana all in walking distance. Hotel has everything you need but leaves you thinking it could have been so much better. We were staying in what could be called budget rooms as blue sea bolero has three parts to the hotel complex. ROOMS: Very dated windows not secure and lots of repair issues but just somewhere to rest our heads has fridge and two ring electric hob if you needed it.clean and towels changed daily and air con was in bedroom and main room which was wonderful. Shower water is very salty so hair never feels clean. thin wall hopefully you will get good neighbours. Beds were comfy and we slept well. POOLS: Found 4 pools one the day before we left a map of locations and what to do would be handy as lots of new guests wondering around lost. indoor pool was closed but is one of the main images when you book you holiday would have been great to have a n evening dip. One pool by the reception is split level with a kids pool up top this pool is used for activates but was always out of control with teenagers and kid jumping off raised area and not stopped by life guards. Pool 2 was next to bar nice pool shallow end and deep end Pool 3 is the biggest and the quietest as not near the bar deep area in the middle of this pool. To get a sunbed you would need to but your towels down at 5am the hotel policy of towels removed after one hour is not enforce. Pool area not very safe as some broken tiles and plastic drainage area was a trip hazard we and other guest report this got fixed a few days later wounder if health and safety checks are done? Pool water got a little dirty after a few days but it was very buys. Toilets were in a bad state of repair and more needed around the bar area. Staff: Most would speak only a handful of would not mainly the grounds staff none of them would speak to you at all I triad daily they just were just not interested in interacting. Customer service in general seemed like something they had to do rather then what they wanted to do! No one went out of there way to make us feel welcome apart from the photography team they were wonderful. Reception staff were not that welcoming and we found them unapproachable.To be fair they seemed extremely overworked. Entertainment: The entertainment was the same I we had seen a over the last 15yrs and the team just mimed along too set routines same as caravan site holidays in the UK to be fair the team had to speak in a few different langues so that took up most of the evening. not one of the best animation teams we have seen no real structure to how the performance was staged a flash mob routine during the day would be welcomed. your're never fully dressed without a Smile by sia was the main song which had a dance routine why I'm not sure? Bar: Not clear what was all inclusive sign hard to read at bar and poor selection of drinks.so ending up paying for better quality drinks and all drink came in a small cup a bigger up offering might make the bar staff day easier as you have to make constant trips to the bar that is not a relaxing holiday only all inclusive we have been to with no waiter service. No list of pay for drinks available at the bar. Cocktails :Pina colada is ok other offerings are sex on the beach, san Francisco and tequila sunrise. stick to vodka or gin is probably the best option. out of all the amazing beer made in Spain they only have San Miguel. Restaurant and food: think Fawlty Towers very dated and has a 1970s chef vibe about it. I was looking forward to Paella seen it on twice was bland and tasteless disappointed. One evening they duck a l'orange was shocked to find it was not duck it was chicken spoke to a member of staff who was not really interested what about allergies sign was not changed. The British will not like the breakfast option eggs the best bit. German cold meat selection was good and healthy option was brilliant nuts date, figs and a large choice of cereals and fresh fruit Yogurts. Dinner and evening meal just bland but lots of salad offering with a big fly problem around the food. But free help yourself Wine red white and rose and soft drinks and San Miguel. Snack: No outside snacks such are ice cream of hot dogs or chips outside did have ice cream and crepes stand you have to pay for never staffed found it easier to walk five minutes to main street instead of waiting. For snacks you have to get out of pool dry yourself put on a shirt and wait to dry then you could get a snack to eat from restaurant as your not allowed to remove food. Our son is autistic so he would not eat anything for the hotel so we had to get food out for him. No quite area to sit and play card if you don't like entertainment pizza restaurant would be good for this as no one ever seemed to be sat in there space could be better used. Apparently they have a night club? if only we knew? With all this said if your forgiving and will be doing day trips you will have a good holiday just do not expect to much. Didn't see any security walking around checking for non-guests or in case of trouble or incidents.
