The hotel is in a superb location, being close to the beach and the main bus routes. Rooms are a good size, and housekeeping is daily and very thorough. Spa is good size and lots of treatment options. Breakfast is a good selection. One negative is the evening buffet. Service is chaotic, and one night, I was asked for my room number 4 times. Should be slicker for this standard of hotel. All in all good place to stay.

It was the last week of the season and I travelled with a hiking group. The inside wellness area is clean and the treatment I had was pretty good. My room in the old part of the house was a nice one but had always a damp feeling as November's night's humidity could be felt in the room. Neither the A/C nor the towel heater in the bathroom produced heat (acc. to the reception staff, too early to start ????) A portable little radiator was offered and used instead. The construction's work at the oudoor pool started 1 day after arrival with loud noise. As the hotel apparently closed down their business the week after, I wonder why they couldn't start with the renovation accordingly. For dinner there was a starter and dessert buffet offered and the main course to be ordered à la carte. As I'm not up for starters and dessert, I can only judge the main courses and it was below average if it comes to quality and appearance. The service was overwhelmed with such a big group. And if all challenges they faced if it comes to take drink orders can be blamed on the new app used, I can't judge, but one staff took the orders and another one delivered and it was most of the times a joke to watch the discussions and time it needed. The main course food was always a kind of "surprise", either poor quality, no consistency (one day the meat/portion was double the size then the day before), the Paella looked on all plates different too, from hard boiled rice, to brown/orange colors, the quantity of e.g. mussels varied from 1 (for decoration?) to 6 on each plate, the pasta with seafood lacked the seafood (processed crab meat and 1 tiny shrimp only). Usually I'm not that picky but a 4* hotel should do better and as they deal with hiking groups all over the year I hope they're capable of. I've stayed in this hotel before and had chosen it because of my good experience, even recommended it to friends. But this time I was really disappointed.
