From the reception staff; Awa and Salvador, thank you so much for your warm reception and attention, you guys are the best at what you do. To the kitchen and bar staff; Marcus, Paul and the others; thank you for the freshest and most delicious meal. We had a huge variety of meal options and endless drinks and even when the kitchen was closed, the outdoor bar was open with a variety of food and treats for everyone. The pool area was huge; with slides and huge space for kids and adults. the indoor pool was massive for people who preferred the warm pool. To the entertainment team, where do I start from? My kids will not stop singing all the songs from your mini disco shows. you gave us 100% and more. from the Halloween party prep to the tee shirt paintings (WHICH WAS BRILLIANT), the art sessions, the football, the games, you guys went over and beyond to keep the kids happy and gainfully occupied. you guys are simply amazing and we will certainly be returning in the future. One of the best hotels we’ve been in Mallorca! Staff is amazing and very friendly. We’ve been there at the beginning of November, so cannot comment on the full season, but there was plenty to do for our family. Outdoor slides were lots of fun for our 11 and 9 year old, there is a large heated indoor pool with spa (opening hours 10-6, kids allowed 12-4). Entertainment was fun especially mini disco, we had a good laugh as animation team is cool. Food was perfect, lots to choose from, thematic dinners, beautifully presented. The staff was always trying to help with my dairy intolerance although choice was very limited in dessert section (I’ve had the same issue in all hotels on Mallorca so far). Location is quiet, sea walk is close by, no large beach, but we didn’t mind. All in all, perfect holidays and we will definitely return!

“Fabulous Hotel”

We have just arrived back from Playa Mar & spa and can honestly say it was a wonderful experience. The rooms are spacious and kept spotless. The only downside is that there is very little privacy which for families with older children could be an issue. The bathroom is open plan to the main living area and both the shower and toilet doors are just opaque glass swing shut doors with no locks. We shared with our 14 year old granddaughter but managed to allow each other as much privacy as possible and got by ok. The buffet restaurant was run so efficiently by Angie and Fredy & the food was excellent. we had 6 children in our group, ranging from 7 to 14 and never had any complaints from any of them. There is so much choice even the fussiest of eaters are catered for. My husband is coeliac and he was given a separate menu to choose from every morning and his food was cook especially for him. We were very impressed. The entertainment staff were excellent. On Halloween they had trays of pumpkins for the children to carve and in the afternoon they were all given a t shirt to decorate and wear. The restaurant and bar were decorated for the occasion & there were sweets everywhere. The pool cafe and the bar were open all day with drinks, snacks and ice creams available all day. We would definitely return. As a stand-alone experience, the hotel is nice enough and it has everything that you would likely need for an enjoyable holiday, but in comparison to other 4-star rated Jet2 hotels we’ve stayed at, this is a 3-star hotel on a like-for-like basis. The best feature is the food — always a massive selection, fresh, the meats were cooked brilliantly — and Angie and Fredy could not have done more to accommodate our daughter with food allergies. We are so appreciative for their help! 10 out of 10! The overall rooms and cleanliness, however, leave a lot to be desired. Our bedside tables still had hair and dust in them, as well as dirt and sand in the bottom of the wardrobes, from previous visitors which was very disappointing. We ran out of body gel in the dispenser a few days in and rather than replacing it, the cleaner took the empty insert and left us with an empty dispenser. We had to ask twice to get it replaced. You can also tell the hotel tried to update the fittings and fixtures, but it was a patch-up rather than a gut-job because the seams are open in the walls where changes were made and nothing feels quite finished. The doors are not sealed off so they let in light and noise, especially late at night when the evening crowds are returning to their rooms. You can hear everything in other rooms so do be warned if you have loud children you think could disturb others OR if you’re looking for an adults-only experience and don’t want to hear children. My older daughter had a gorgeous memory foam bed while the master bedroom bed was hard and noisy with stupidly small pillows. The duvet wasn’t even the correct size for the bed so our feet were always sticking out. Just no attention to detail from a housekeeping perspective. 5 out of 10. Finally, the gem that sells this place — the pools — are in dire need of a renovation. The tiles are cracked, the grout is mouldy, and my daughter fell and smacked her head in the baby pool because the algae hadn’t been cleaned. This isn’t even me being persnickety — other kids fell, too. The tiles around the pool are not much better and you can see kids sliding around as they move between pools. Deck loungers are mouldy and stained, too. It’s such a shame because we really did have a nice time, but idk if it was because it’s the end of the season and they stopping caring after summer or because they don’t see it, but despite the good food and friendly staff, these small details are what I remember most. I wouldn’t go back.
