Just came back from a week at the Playa Mar (end of June into July). Having read the reviews for this hotel I was really looking forward to staying here…and me and my family certainly weren’t let down. Went with my wife and 2 lads (3 and 13 years old). We stayed in block 3 and had a room on the 2nd floor which faced the rear of the hotel. For us this was the ideal room as it was quieter. If you have a room facing the front you either have a view of the small playground and bar, the pool or the restaurant. It may not be an issue for many. The room, as was the whole resort, was kept very well. Plenty of space for us, nice walk in shower. TV’s in both rooms were able to pick up British TV channels which helped for the football. Maybe 1 small negative were that we found the beds quite soft and woke up with achy backs in the mornings, but obviously this may be ok for others. The pool is very good and caters for all ages. Shallow bits for the toddlers, deeper bits for others and slides which are fine for all ages. Plenty of seats were available around the pool and with shade. I wake up most mornings around 8 and had a casual stroll down and always got 3 seats where we wanted them. The entertainment is geared I would say for kids under 10. Have to say they really put the effort in and are extremely friendly and very good at their jobs. The food was very good. Usual all inclusive fair and with themed nights. I thought there was a good selection. The staff in the restaurant were extremely welcoming and any allergy issues we had (small lad has some), I asked the chef to confirm what was in the food and they always helped. The food allergies are labelled as well. Bar wise there’s a pool bar open from 10:30 which serves all the drinks and also food is available (chips, burgers, hot dogs, cakes, fruit). Again the bar staff were very friendly. On arrival you have to pay the tourist tax, think it was just under €50. Also €10 deposit per towel for the pool, get it back at end of week. Safe in room was €28 for the week with a €5 euro deposit. Reception staff were helpful with any queries. So overall, a massive positive for the hotel. It’s immaculately clean. The staff, from the receptionists, bar staff, restaurant staff, maintenance guys, cleaners are a credit to the hotel. It was our 1st visit to Majorca and loved it. If we come back to the island, we will be staying here again.

I spent so much time researching our family holiday for this year, and thankfully we couldn’t have been happier. It was our first time to the beautiful island of Mallorca. The hotel is in a beautiful, quiet setting, just a minute from the sea and the beginning of the Pine Walk. The walk into town took us about 25 minutes, but the scenery is so beautiful that it makes the walk enjoyable. Sometimes we walked by the sea, or on hotter days we walked the back road where there was shade, where we had the spectacular Mountain Views and even met a family of goats along the way! Everything about this hotel is of an exceptional standard - the food and drinks, so much choice, and everything we tried was delicious, cooked to perfection. All the staff were very friendly, welcoming and attentive at all times. The hotel is clean in all areas. The small grounds outside are immaculately kept, with pretty colourful flowers in bloom everywhere. The room was perfectly sized, comfortable and functional. The nighttime entertainment was surprisingly good fun. We very much enjoyed the music for adults after 9.30pm, especially the Freddie mercury tribute! Tips: Go out and see the island, do some excursions which can be booked at reception. We took the wooden train to Soller from Palma, through the mountains and fields of orange trees, which was probably the highlight of the holiday for me. The scenery was incredible. We also went to Palma, and visited other local towns from the bus station in the town centre. Dinner is served in the hotel restaurant until 9.30pm, which is very considerate of the hotel because it means guests can go for long outings and then return for dinner. The town market is on a Wednesday. We are already planning to return next year. My children haven’t stopped talking about it since we got home! I can’t imagine wanting to go anywhere else. Well where can I start! We travelled as a family a few weeks ago to this fabulous hotel and had the best time! The hotel is immaculate throughout. It’s spotlessly clean thanks to the hardworking cleaning staff, nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing and I thought I’d struggle seeing as I’m such a picky eater but it was delicious! The choice was fab and never found it hard to choose something tasty every day which can be tricky being all inclusive. The waiting and bar staff work so hard to make sure you have everything you need. We travelled with grandchildren and they had the best time in the pools! Which leads me onto the entertainment team. They genuinely work so hard and both the children and us adore them and we left feeling like we’d made new friends. Sorry I don’t know all of their names but Andreea, Stefan and the animacion team and also the reps team from France, they were just fantastic! ❤️ They all make you feel so welcome and they are great involving you in fun activities if you choose to. The whole experience was a complete joy and we can’t wait to return! Amazing! Thank you so much! 🥰

We are just back from an 8 night stay at this lovely hotel! We all loved it, myself, partner and our two children (8 and 6) thoroughly enjoyed it. The pools were great and had something for all the children, food was nice in the main restaurant and we always found something to eat, the grounds are very pretty with a small pond with fish and little frogs with the children loved. The staff are all brilliant and work very hard day and night yet always have a smile. The children’s entertainment was great! The pine walk is beautiful and close by, the only downside for us was that the location wasn’t amazing but I think it’s because we were spoilt with where we went last year and could walk easily into town where there was lots for children to do, whereas the marina is more just restaurants and bars…. However it is very beautiful. I would recommend this hotel, id not take too much notice of the negative reviews, I think they’ve been very unfair, restaurant staff were always amazing, especially with the children. Also the brits abroad comment , I can honestly say we met some wonderful people during our stay and everyone was lovely. I’d definetely go again!
