First thing this hotel is NOT in palma nova it’s in MAGALUF The magaluf strip is on the next street up. I got up once at 5am and you can see and hear them all staggering out of the bars to beach to skinny dip. 🤦🏽‍♀️ Just arrived back from Fergus style Tobago, Hotel - on arrival you are greeted by the reception staff who are all lovely, we were offered a drink from the reception bar whilst they did the paperwork for our room. We had a pool/beach facing room which had the best views across the bay day & night. The room itself self was a little small with 2 single beds pushed together but also bedding made up as single beds, Normally hotels would use 2 single beds together to made a queen size bed with bedding across both but not here, your sleeping separately. Not enough storage in the room only 2 drawers and a small clothes hanging area. Our room looked like a teenagers bedroom with stuff everywhere as no where to put it. BATHROOM 🤦🏽‍♀️ The hotel has been told so many times before about the lack of privacy but nothing seems to be done about it, basically if you are in the shower or on the toilet whoever is in your room can see you, The glass on the doors are frosted but can be seen through. Even after 25 years of being together I do not want to see my husband having a poo 💩 so whenever the toilet was being used the other had to leave the room by sitting in the balcony. COME ON TABOGO SORT THE GLASS OUT!! We spoke to others where friends had come together and found the bathroom glass on shower and toilet were a bit too much for a friendship. FOOD - The food in the restaurant was absolutely amazing, you could literally have anything from steak cooked in front of you to sushi, check out my photos for reference. POOL - 🤦🏽‍♀️ the pool area was a big no no for us.. firstly the sun does not get to 90% of the pool area til at least 12 / 1pm & yes there are some beds in the sun but they happen to be BALI BEDS at a ridiculous price! After paying for a 5 star hotel and then having to pay 40 euro per day to be able to be in the sun is not fair. Because of this we ended up on the beach everyday which then we bought cocktails from the beach bars, money the hotel could have been making if the sun beds were free! Fergus Tobago get rid of the Bali beds and put more free sunbeds there so your guests stay at your pool and buy your food and drinks instead of the beach. SKYBAR - beautiful to go and have a look over the bay at night The drinks are very expensive, Single vodka & coke and a cocktail was 22 euros !! The Bali beds up on the skybar are even higher priced than the pool side 🙄 75 euros for the day is the cheapest option going right up to 150 euros with a bottle of champagne. The pool on the skybar is only upto your knees so basically it’s a paddling pool. BEACH - AMAZING The sea is Crystal clear you can walk out for ages it was like been in the Caribbean, personally I’d go buy some cheap blow up lilo and get yourself to the beach, so many amazing bars for food and drinks. The beach is straight across the road from the hotel pool gate which is accessible with your room key.

We stayed 11 nights half board. We had a lovely stay, very relaxing. Staff were all really polite and helpful, waiters in restaurant worked super hard both at breakfast and dinner. The room itself was not overly big but we didn’t find this a problem. Storage wasn’t great, we pushed our suitcases behind the curtain at the balcony to make sure we had as much floor space as possible. There was no wardrobe, just hanging space above a couple of drawers right outside the bathroom/shower area. There was a shelf up above which my husband used but it was too high for me. Read reviews before we booked about the toilet and shower not being great as the room was kinda open plan and folk felt it wasn’t private. We didn’t find this a problem, the doors were obscured glass. We spent some time at the roof top bar, views were amazing. The pool area on ground floor was ok, really not enough sunbeds. There were Bali beds which you had to pay to use, it would have been better if they were taken away and more of the smaller sunbeds were in that area. We didn’t spend too much time at the pool as getting a sunbed in the morning was difficult unless you went very early. We went later in the afternoon and usually always found somewhere to sit. The pool bar was lovely too. For us the food was excellent! Always plenty of choice and variety. We went out for lunch but ate at the hotel every night as it was so good! We usually had wine with our meal which obviously isn’t included in the half board option, but we even had to pay for water which we’ve never encountered in a 5 star hotel before. The only other thing I’d mention is there’s really no entertainment, there was a man playing saxophone over at the pool bar one evening while we were eating dinner and one morning a lady played piano at breakfast time. The day we left they were having a silent disco in the evening at the rooftop bar, and that was it, again for a 5 star hotel we would have expected some kind of evening entertainment, some of the nights. Our daughter and her friend were in a 4 star hotel about a 5 minute walk from us and their hotel was equally as good as this one, and they paid a lot less than we did! We would say this hotel was no more than a 4 star. We had a lovely holiday and will return to Majorca, but probably wouldn’t stay in this hotel again. To be honest we’d probably look for a good 4 star.
