Hotel Joan Miro Museum is a great alternative fo the people who would like to stay close to Palma, however would like to experience the beaches around the city. There are 3 beaches close to the hotel, Cala Major, Illertes and Palmanova which can be reached on foot or by public transport. The hotel has its own paid car part for 10 EUR per day. My biggest compliments go to the hotel staff, the people at the reception are smiling, very attentive and informal, their behavior is not fake kindness but a more informal friendly version, especially kudos to Mira. They gave us umbrella and some toys for the beach, they arranged a picnic box for our early flight for a very moderate price. The lady at the restaurant did not charge breakfast for our 4 year old son (which she did not have to but it was a nice gesture). There is a small supermarket nearby and few very good restaurants. The rooms are clean, the breakfast is great, the staff in the restaurant is helpful (Samuel) Only small min: If you do not go to hotel's car park, free parking in the area can be a challenge as the roads are narrow, and there are not enough places, (sometimes none) however in the summer it is very predictable and there is a much bigger free car park, 10 mins walk to the hotel close to the gas station. Or you can simply pay for the hotel's car park.

I do not want to criticise this hotel; everything is spotless, staff excellent, food delicious and reasonably priced. However there are a few things that you need to be aware of if you choose to stay here. The location is not good if you are coming for a holiday. There are a couple of restaurants at the bottom of the hill, which are ok but nothing special. There are no bars, so if you want to eat, drink or enjoy an evening out you will need to walk into Cala Major, about 15 minutes away. The nearest beach is located there too. Cala Major has some ok restaurants, but few bars, so if you want a lively resort with things going on and possibly entertainment in the evening, then this place is not for you- it is even a little run down. This would not be a good resort for children, as there is little for them to do. The walk back from Cala Major up the hill to the hotel is tiring, especially if it is hot, though you can get a taxi back for around 5 euros or 2 euros each by bus. The number 4 bus, located at the bottom of the hill, runs frequently and will get you into Palma city centre in about 20 minutes. However, they are extremely busy, so you will be lucky to get a seat and expect to be jostled as everyone clambers aboard- not good for children, who will have to hold on tight and may be tired after a long, hot day in the city. When you get off the bus, you then have to negotiate the hill up to the hotel, which is not fun when the sun is beating down on you. Also be aware that the hotel restaurant closes for the day after breakfast is served. You can buy food and drinks throughout the day, such as burgers, spaghetti, salads and it is all good and can be eaten in the bar area or on the terrace, but don’t expect to spend an evening in the hotel enjoying a three course, leisurely meal. There is nothing to do in the evening, the hotel is quiet and would certainly not appeal to children. The pool is good, but nothing else to keep families entertained. I don’t want to appear so negative, as this hotel does everything to ensure your stay is pleasant, but the location is not good.

A very friendly welcome led to a very pleasant stay Staff are excellent...Samuel the omelette man is an absolute star but all the staff are excellent Initially some noisy and unruly children made the pool area not so appealing but after they left the hotel settled into what I suspect is a more normal very relaxed and pleasant atmosphere Rooms are basic but clean and comfortable...some better chairs on the balcony would be good Food is excellent..I had breakfast and lunch ..both were excellent and reasonably priced The location is excellent with the shuttle to Palma centre taking only 15 minutes. Overall a very good experience

“Overprices , dull and tired hotel.”

I booked a superior room which in fact was a small double room so I did not get what I paid for. The breakfast was boring with poor selection. I booked a superior room which in fact was a small double room so I did not get what I paid for. The breakfast was boring with poor selection. There was no fresh orange juice only cheated and mixed half fresh with half pasterised full of sugar. The coffee was very terrible. The rooms and the interrior looks very tired . The bar area was not attarctive. I would not rate this hotel 4 stars but 3.5 the most. Overpriced not worth the money.
