“Best choice for Palma trip / skvelá voľba pre výlet v Palme”

Very kind personal in reception - helpful about taxi, breakfast or information about Palma. Walk 10 minutes and you are in the square Esplanya. From airport you can go by bus A1 and get off in this square. SK: Izba pre jednu osobu bola veľmi čistá a pekná, na piatom poschodí s terasou a krásnym výhľadom. Posteľ bola pohodlná, v izbe je tiež vešiakový stojan, klimatizácia, kúpeľna aj s fénom. Upratovanie prebiehalo každý deň. Na recepcii je veľmi milý a ochotný personál, radi vybavia taxi alebo podajú info ohľadom mesta. Za 10 minút pešou chôdzou sa dostanete na námestie Esplanya, ktoré je v centre.

“Good value hotel and comfortable stay!”

I was lucky enough to find Hotel Abelay and happy I did. I stayed for 4 nights. Its an 8 minute walk from Plaza Espanya (the transportation hub) and located in a quiet section of Palma, as well as bring very reasonably priced.Taking the airport bus which stops at Plaza Espanya its an easy walk to the hotel. I was given a double room which also had a small balcony.The room and bathroom were spacious enough and very clean! Everyone on Reception were polite and friendly and especially Sergi who checked me in and helped me with info. He also helped me check in for my return flight when I could not do it from my mobile phone for some reason. He was very helpful and kind!There is a Mercadona supermarket just 3 minutes up from the hotel which I used daily! Only downside is that there is no fridge in the rooms which is something I missed as you want to have a cool drink at anytime etc among other things(especially in warmer weather). I solved that problem for myself by buying 1 kilo ice bags from Mercadona along with a cooler shopping bag. I would layer one on bottom fill with my drinks and snacks I wanted to keep cool and layer with another bag on top. I kept it in the shower cubicle and this kept intact overnight. I repeated the next day. Its a solution that worked for me! Of course the hotel has bottles of ice water to buy and a small restaurant with a menu of the day which I did not use..nor the breakfast for a fee. I would surely stay at Hotel Abelay again !

“Best kind of budget hotel”
The best kind of budget hotel: ten mins walk from main transport hub, in relaxed residential district, freshly renovated in simple stylish way, friendly and safe, great value especially with half board. Best price I found was by booking direct.

Great hotel just outside the centre about 10 mins walk until your in the centre anout 30 mins from the port area but a nice walk via the city centre. Reception staff really friendly. Great hotel just outside the centre about 10 mins walk until your in the centre anout 30 mins from the port area but a nice walk via the city centre. Reception staff really friendly. A supermarket on the road really handy for picking up bits like water for the room. Rooms are a good size with everything you need, a decent hairdryer in the bathroom which is a bonus. We had a little balcony which was really lovely. The hotel has a small terrace with a few sun loungers which is a nice place to chill. We left our baggage on the last day and collected it later which was really handy, a nice safe room available for this.

“Comfortable and reasonably priced”
Refurbished hotel, 20 mins walk from the Cathedral etc. Very clean facilities, comfortable bed, spacious bathroom, aircon and tv, what more do you need! Attentive staff working at reception, reasonably priced breakfast. A jewel.
