Apartamentos ponent is a very clean and very nice place. Room has everything you need and everything is new. Swimming pool is big and clean as well You can shop around, there are many restaurants as well if you want to eat outside. One beautiful beach at 50 meter or 2 others 5 minutes walking. Staff is very king and a special thanks to José A from the reception. He helped us for many things and was very polite and very kind. He really deserves his job. Would love to come back to this place ! Lucien and Cyril

“Excellent accommodation”

Stayed for one week in October, apartments really lovely, clean and well kept. Will absolutely recommend. Only problem we had (but not to do with the apartments) was parking. Stayed for one week in October, apartments really lovely, clean and well kept. Will absolutely recommend. Only problem we had (but not to do with the apartments) was parking. It used to be free parking on their limited parking area, that is now 9 euros a night. Free parking in the municipal car park is a good 10 minute walk away. The week we were there was Paguera's annual bike racing event so it was crammed with people and bikes. Getting our cases etc back to the municipal car park was challenging as the main roads had barriers and police stopping cars from getting to their hotels and apartments.

We spent most of our two week stay in Mallorca at the Ponent and thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. These apartments have been recently renovated and still have that freshly painted smell. They’re a great size, are comfortable, bright, modern and well appointed (some notes on what to be aware of below though). The location is fabulous: directly on the beach and just a few steps from the Main Street, full of bars, restaurants, and souvenir shops. A pool at the front of the property, looked after by a lifeguard, keeps kids happy for hours. Booking was tricky: as we weren’t sure whether our flight would go (as it was in the week things were opening up after months of lockdown), we decided to book only once we arrived in Palma, at the airport. We couldn’t book for the whole time we were in Mallorca as Ponent was already full on one of the nights. So we had to book two nights at Ponent, another hotel in Palma for one night, and then the rest back at the Ponent. Dealing with the receptionist over the phone wasn’t too successful and we ended up with three separate reservations that had to be made via their website. We’d booked sea view rooms throughout our stay but the first room we were given was facing the street with a side view to the sea. When we asked for a room facing the sea upon our return after our night in Palma, John, one of the receptionists arranged a better room without a fuss. We stayed on the 1st, 2nd and 5th floor: the layout of each apartment is slightly different and the content of the kitchen cupboards differ somewhat. We had to borrow wine glasses from a previous apartment because the one we moved into didn’t have any. The first night back was a bit of a nightmare though because the air conditioning didn’t work. We visited reception and he said that it would only work if all doors and windows were closed. We tried everything but to no avail so we spent a very hot, uncomfortable night, not made any better by a Spanish couple rowing loudly upstairs into the wee small hours. When we mentioned it again the next morning, Jose, another nice receptionist, was straight onto it and a technician arrived at our door minutes later and was able to sort it out. Carlos was also very helpful and friendly. Some notes: - You will be charged €10 deposit for the remote control. That’s a little off putting at the start of your holiday. - If you’re wanting to cook, make sure you bring/buy dishwashing liquid and a brush. There is none and we found the crockery in one of the apartments we stayed in had been left quite dirty by previous guests. - It isn’t obvious how to use the induction hobs for cooking! After half an hour of frustrated trying, YouTube tutorials and a visit to reception, we discovered that one of the hobs didn’t actually work unless you had a bigger fry pan. The microwave is a bit tricky to work out too. - WiFi is good and strong. No complaints. - The apartments are nice and clean, thanks to a team of friendly cleaners. They come at regular intervals.
