I worried about booking the hotel despite the reviews saying there's no music by the pool and it's very quiet, as it was billed as a VIBE hotel on Jet2. However, I didn't need to worry at all! I stayed there for 7 nights at the end of September and it was a great experience for a solo trip. The hotel is very quiet, apart from a tiny bit of noise in the corridor one night. I didn't realise how close it was to 'the strip' of Magaluf. Didn't hear a peep (thank god). Admittedly this might have been due to being low season. The hotel is clean and stylish, in a quite basic way. It's definitely not high end luxury but it's not cheap trash either. The pool(s) are lovely, I easily got a sunbed every day and there was no one leaving towels out or racing for them. Food was great from the restaurant, breakfast was included although you had to pay extra for speciality coffee (latte etc) which I think is a bit of a shame. Just do them from a machine rather than a barista behind the counter, they're not as nice but then everyone can have them quickly and included. The half board system is good with money loaded onto a wristband which is definitely enough for a lunch or dinner and a drink (or 2 if non alcoholic). The prices are reasonable, better than restaurants by the beach although they were lovely to visit. I went to the closest beach, Platja de Son Maties, every day. It's a short walk down the hill and wasn't too packed, lots of families and people coming round offering a decent massage for very reasonable price. Would recommend as a budget hotel for a solo trip, I didn't expect bells and whistles but was pleasantly surprised at the standard of food, staff and happy with a clean and stylish room.

We stayed for 5 nights at the hotel and it has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. The beds were comfortable and the room was spacious. The service we received from the waiters & the duty manager Ian was second to none. They were all very chatty and always having a laugh with you each night, very helpful offering to bring drinks over to your table so you don’t have to stand and wait which is appreciated. The gent on the bar makes the best cocktails (especially mojitos). The frappes are also really nice. The restaurant is lovely serving a variety of great food, all cooked fresh. You get a band with €18 allowance (buffet breakfast is separate) and this will get you a meal and a soft drink. If you prefer an alcoholic drink with your meal, you will need a little more to spend, bare in mind cocktails are around €9.90. Buffet style breakfast is also plentiful with a variety to choose from. The restaurant has great ambience with background music & a lovely indoor and outdoor seating area so that you can enjoy your meal with a view of the sea. The beach is less than a 5 minute walk away and there are plenty of bars & restaurants on the seafront if you do decide to eat out or are staying B&B. We didn’t use the pool so can’t comment on that although it looked lovely, plenty of sun beds this time of year (October). As others mentioned, no music & no entertainment. There are live music & karaoke bars around a short distance away. The hotel is up a steep hill so bare in mind if you struggle with this. Spar shop is less than a minute away if you need anything. Busses to Palma and other areas are frequent and only a 5 minute walk away if you do wish to go on a day trip somewhere else. Overall we had a great stay here and if you are looking for somewhere to relax I would definitely recommended cooks club.

Just returned from 4 nights stay at the Cooks Club Calviá Beach which we really enjoyed. It’s only about 20 minutes from Palma airport but due to having to wait on the transfer coach for around 45mins at the airport and then all the other drop offs it feels like quite along time. I would definitely pay the extra in future for a private transfer. The coach drops you off 2 mins away on the corner as the hill is quite steep and the coach would struggle to turn around at the hotel but that didn’t matter to us but would maybe be a little more difficult if you had a lot of baggage. The staff were great, very friendly and helpful especially the bar/resturant staff. We stayed in room 414 which was a end room so had a wrap around balcony which overlooked the pool/beach but does also overlook the slingshot and Magaluf strip which again was not a problem for us but if you are a light sleeper or there during high season when the clubs are busier you may want to request a room at the other end of the hotel. The room was very nice, modern, stylish and clean. The bathroom had a nice large shower which was warm and powerful. There is a hairdryer but it is in the bathroom so I am glad I took my own. There is plenty of wardrobe space and a safe but unsure if you have to pay for that as we didn’t use it. The only issues I had were although there is a full length mirror attached to the wall there isn’t a mirror at the dressing table. There was no plugs near the mirror so it was a struggle to be able to dry/straighten my hair while being able to see in a mirror. Also the lighting in the bedroom space where the the mirror is wasn’t the best there is no main lights in there just lamps so hard to see your make up etc if getting ready when it’s darker outside. The double rooms are made up if 2 twins pushed together which I think is pretty standard and the mattress are very firm. I must admit I didn’t sleep well at all but this is due to me suffering with a bad back and not being able to cope with a firm mattress. I think this is personal preference and some people don’t like a softer bed so can’t please everyone. I can not comment on the cleaners as we didn’t want our room cleaning but we could request clean towels/bedding etc if we needed it. The hotel will give you pool towels which are a deposit of €10 each which has to be paid in cash which is refunded when you return. We don’t ever struggle for a subbed but it could be due to the time of year. The pool was open 10am-6pm and you can not put towels down until then which seemed a good idea and stopped people reserving them and then not using. The sun didn’t usually come out until around 9.30/10 so this was fine but if this is the same rule in the summer I think it would be off putting as I would want to be down by the pool before 10am. The sun beds were comfortable and they had beanbags around the pool too which you can use. The pool was pretty cold but this will be down to the time of year. The pool area was lovely and clean and people were still using the pool but I didn’t brave it. The food was delicious! We went half board which included a breakfast which had so much choice and was fresh. We never struggled for a table and there was the option to sit indoors or out. You also get a wrist band with €18 euros on each to spend as you please. There was a great choice of food which is all cooked to order. You place your order and are given a buzzer which goes off when it’s ready for you to go to collect. There is pastas, Pizzas, curries, Mexican, grilled meats, nachos etc and a specials board. I wish we were staying for longer so we could try more of the food. The hotel is cashless so if you go over your €18 daily allowance you can either pay on your card or alternatively go to reception and you can put cash onto your wrist band which if not all used by the end of your holiday will be refunded. If you don’t use up your daily allowance it doesn’t roll over to the next day so you will loose it so make sure you spend it. It’s a short walk down to some lovely beaches, we enjoyed heading down for a walk after breakfast before the pool was open. It’s a 10-15 minute walk to get to Palma nova which had some nice bars or 5 minute walk to Magaluf strip but it was pretty quiet at this time of year. The hotel itself would benefit from some sort of entertainment on an evening and maybe just some chilled relaxing music around the pool during the day. It’s a really difficult one as to if I would return, as although I love the hotel I really struggled with the mattress and lack of sleep. Maybe if I got my back sorted out I would be able to sleep better but I would 100% recommend to a friend.

We are a couple in our 30’s just got back yesterday from 7 nights here. Rooms Minimal in style No iron ( you pay for that ) Had a nice view of the pool / sea No kettle Powerful large shower Towels were changed daily Balcony decent size Floors are all marble I think so it’s quite noisy when people walking around corridors or the heavy doors opening / closing. Walls seemed thin we had a couple arguing next door at 2am. Couldn't hear the sling shot ball thing on the strip only if you were stood out on the balcony. Tv had BBC One and BBC two / sky news Enjoyed using the wristband as a contactless key card to the room. Pillows were nice and soft. Pool Where was the DJ? no music played at all and no atmosphere around the pool .. not so much the VIBE hotel we thought it was going to be. The noise of the nearby street music or other peoples laughter this pool is pure relaxation. The pool area is clean and modern, well maintained. Not sure why the chairs and spray washed sometimes they are then wet to sit on in the morning. Sun Loungers around the pool lost the sun about 4pm but could be the time of year, the sun sets behind the hotel (opposite side the pool) Loungers are comfy Rented towels for a cash deposit only of 10€ pp, these towels are large but a bit tatty looking and well worn. You have to return the receipt to get your money back. Just an FYI. Pool opened around 9:30-10 when lifeguard arrived. No rush for loungers. No food around the pool. Food Had breakfast only at the hotel, was decent enough although I felt like I ate the same thing for 7 days. Got busy from 9am onwards. Queue for the eggs station. I just enjoyed the yogurt and fresh honey with toppings. Quite a lot of sweet pastries to eat. People were half board had a 18€ allowance to spend off the menu boards. No food is labelled so not great if you have allergy / intolerances. Ordered a burger and fries one lunch time you get given a bleeper to go back and collect, seemed to take a long time to make a burger was ok. Decent enough choice for everyone. Location It is at the top of a little steep incline, it did get me out of breath but you just take it at your own pace. Behind the hotel if you turn left there is a path down to an Aldi which is useful for bottled water or cheap lager cans and a bus stop to Santa ponsa. WiFi is fast and strong all around hotel. No real rowdiness just the odd night maybe take ear plugs incase. Lifts near reception were a bit slow, use the lifts in the middle of the hotel instead as they are quieter. Was a lovely stay if you get a good deal go for it :-)

We had a lovely stay. The hotel is better than its location. The staff are lovely and try really hard. We had a problem and the manager resolved it promptly and brilliantly. We appreciated the water in the room on arrival. We got a tip from another review and took a travel kettle as no kettle in the room. The sunbed cushions were really comfy, but as it was the end of the season, they were in need of a clean. The best thing about the hotel is the breakfast; choice, quality etc. I would recommend this hotel. Even though there was an issue, it was resolved and that's all you can ask for really. We wouldn't be back to that particular location, but we would try another Cook's club.
