“Great place and amazing hospitality!”

It was my first time at Cook's Club Calviá Beach and I had an amazing and memorable time during my stay there. The hotel is located close to local beaches, restaurants, bars / clubs and souvenir shops. The staff at were welcoming, kind yet very helpful. They also have their own gym which overlooks the outside pool / bar and the breathtaking views of the beach and also a restaurant which offer variety of dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner, freshly cooked by the talented chefs. During my stay, Ian, especially was very attentive to requests and he ensured that everything was running smoothly in the hotel, by checking in on the staff and guests in the restaurant, to the poolside and bar etc. I will definitely be visiting soon again and I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone who's looking for a 5 star experience, tranquil, relaxing atmosphere.

We visited this hotel for a week. Hotel is situated on a steep hill but if you leave the hotel and turn left its not as bad .We were a little worried before going ,couple in our 50's we thought we would look out of place .Hotel has a very mixed aged range ,yes there are young ppl but also our age and above.Room was lovely and clean but cleaners do not clean properly during the wk .Our bed was always made, bed change once during our wk and fresh towels but that really is where it ends.Our floor was never brushed or mopped or the balcony.We had bird poo on our balcony at the beginning of our week and it was never cleaned.The wardrobe is not long enough to hang up dresses and could possibly do with another chest of draws .Pool area and grounds were kept lovely and clean and they have done something about the bird poo around the pool area,they have these kites moving around in the shape of birds . We had breakfast ,plenty of choice from cooked to yogurts and fruit .We also paid for a few main meals and the chefs cook it for you to order,both meals were fantastic.Ian the manager wonders round talking to guests ,making sure everyone is happy .We had no dj playing when we were there but that really didn't bother us but perhaps this shouldn't be advertised as some guests were expecting and booked because they thought there was a dj . Location was really good in-between two lovely beaches and plenty of bars and restaurants around . We would definitely return to this hotel Tip If your of an older age ask for a higher floor ,the young one's appear to be on the lower floors

“No Frills Hotel, Great Location”

Myself and my partner booked Cooks Club Calvia Beach as we had seen a lot of the Cooks Club hotels advertised and thought they looked fantastic. We usually opt for all-inclusive hotels but liked that you had a daily credit allowance with the half-board option here. Our transfer dropped us off at the corner shop, half way down the road due to the steep hill leading up to the hotel. The hill did not cause us too much hassle and did help us burn off some calories from the holiday food and drinks! Please note, that once you are up the hill, you get to the corner of the hotel and there is another hill to the entrance. Upon arrival, the entrance was very clean and fresh looking. Staff were very welcoming and explained everything to us. Instead of the usual half-board, guests are given a daily credit of €18 for food and drinks throughout the day. The credit is not carried forward to the next day, therefore, it is a good idea to make sure you use it each day. Breakfast is also included in the half-board option and this does not come out of the €18 daily credit. The wristbands also act as a key to your room which was handy. Upon arrival to the room, it was tidy with two single beds, a large TV and a small amount of storage for your clothes. I think we had the only room (205) with two tiny balconies (balcony A & B 😂), from looking at the other rooms from the outside of the hotel the other balconies did look spacious. I am probably being fussy here but the rooms were not as clean as I had hoped and I did ask the cleaner if she could clean the brown marks from the bottom of our toilet which looked like a build up over a long period of time (please note, it was like that when we arrived). The cleaner did kindly do this on the day I asked but I think the toilet was just sprayed with detergent on the remaining days. The beds were made daily but I do not think the floors were mopped at all during our stay. Beds were comfy but firm with 2 pillows each and some decorative cushions which we always take off. The restaurant was lovely with a lot of choice for everyone, the menu consists of curry, steak, pizza, salad, chips, pasta, desserts and more. The food is freshly cooked in an open kitchen. Once you have ordered your food, you are given a plastic square which buzzes once your food is ready to collect from the counter. You can also purchase drinks from the bar inside the dining area, as well as eat/drink inside or outside on the terrace. There is also a pool bar for refreshments when sunbathing. Staff here were great and very witty. There are two pools, one main pool and the infinity pool. The infinity pool was cooler than the main pool but both lovely. There are plenty of sunbeds to choose from and there is even a beach vibe area with sand for sunbathing which we loved. There is a small gym with modern equipment but sometimes the gym was fully occupied with all machines being used. Such a shame as I had to go grab a cocktail instead 😂. Location of the hotel is great, a short walk from the beach and from restaurants and bars. The Magaluf strip is directly behind the hotel but we did not tend to hear too much hustle and bustle from it. There were a few large groups of younger people whilst we were there, I assume this was due to the location but there was no hassle from them at all. There were a few instances where arguments erupted from different guests and from what I witnessed, these situations were diffused immediately and effectively by the hotel management. The hotel manager was great and very attentive to all guests, he made sure to speak to everyone on a daily basis to check everything was OK. Extra costs (optional): We paid extra for a safe, this was around €5 per day and required a refundable deposit (cash) of €10. If you wanted to hire an iron, this costs €5 for 24 hours and also requires a deposit of €10. If you have not already you can pay extra for a sea view (if available), we were offered this for around €150 for our 10 night stay. Please note, if your flight back is later than 11am (check-out time), you can still use the hotel facilities but the food and drinks can not be paid for by hotel credit on the wristbands and have to be paid for using your own card. In my opinion, this is a no frills hotel with great staff and a great location.
