From start to finish this was a 5 star experience. Welcome drink to cool down as you came through the front door, beautiful room, super facilities, lovely staff and excellent food. Hotel is only 15 minutes from Palma airport and the nearest beach (25 minutes from the city centre) and although it is an oasis of peace and relaxation, there is enough to do on site by way of sports activities, pool areas, restaurants etc that you don't actually need to leave and go anywhere if you just want to chill. Hotel was always lovely but was refurbished in the last year or two to an even higher standard than before. Always a pleasure to visit and will be back again soon.

Starting with the best bits, the shower was the best ever. My room was large and had a small terrace. To be honest it more closely resembled an American airport hotel. There was never really a feeling of being on holiday. The bed was enormous with a full pillow menu. I was there with a golf group and confess to having gone down with gastroenteritis but I’m trying not to let this colour my review. There are two golf courses the east course is very dull. The west course is so much better and both were in decent condition. The major disappointment was the food offering I don’t eat cooked breakfast but the morning breakfast buffet was pretty good. It was in the evening when things went completely wrong. We started our week with the buffet offering. As a vegetarian it was bitterly disappointing with very little choice. I mentioned it to the lady checking people in she said I could make it up with salad. I enjoy salad but I quite enjoy hot food as well. Following a number of complaints from our group, we were upgraded to the à la carte and I noticed that the buffet didn’t feature again. There was a sandwich offering that might’ve been one of the worst things I’ve ever eaten. It was priced around €25. I can remember a tomato based starter, which was almost as bad. The service was dreadful, painfully slow. One night exceptionally slow when they had, I think what’s called a “corporate” to cater for. We sat down at 7:30 I didn’t want a starter I had spoken to the restaurant manager and requested some grilled vegetables. These arrived at 10:45 precisely there were nine mini courgettes some baby sweetcorn and three mushroom caps. So 3 hours 15 minutes from sitting down to receiving the meal. The rigatoni on the last night was better but alas too late. Would I go again? What do you think?
