“Retreat into a beautiful, safe haven.”
I was travelling solo and on a budget so picked this partly based on price. I couldn’t have been more delighted with the place. “Scenic”
Go to the mountaintop and enjoy the scenery . Most who visit may not believe the belief regarding the black Madonna but you can appreciate the atmosphere of this place in the mountains and walk the prayer path

“AVOID RESTAURANT / visit everything else!!”
Hotel and grounds absolutely beautiful, reception staff approachable and friendly along with the housekeepers all make an effort to greet you and say good morning etc. trail and mountain walks around the hotel are cracking with some amazing views! “serene place, needed better coffee and a way to make our own”
We took a superior room which opened onto the placa and found it comfortable enough. Don't let anyone flush the loo while you're having a shower though - the water became scalding hot. We came and stayed for 2 nights. The room was clean and average. Breakfast was included, but mainly included bread and tapas related meats and cheese, which was somewhat a problem if you don’t tolerate gluten.
