Hotel rooms are very sweet, with a beautiful view onto the sea. If you need something to drink you can take something from the freezer on your own and keep record of that on your own list. The choice is great, several different beer favors, wine, waters, coke, lemonade, soft drinks, etc., I really liked this pragmatical way to give out drinks at any time. The freezer (I really loved it ;-)) is also veeeery cold which is something I really appreciated so much at these hot times in august. And last but not least the prices for those drinks... he pretty much gives out this stuff for free. The hotel has also a nice terrace where you directly see onto the sea 300 meters in front and 200 meters beyond you. You can watch the sunset at the sea each evening. Just beautiful. Tofol, the owner, is a super cool and funny guy. He is very charming and helpful and makes a wonderful breakfast on its own each day. The breakfast is veeery plenty and served by himself to the table. We couldn't even eat even half of it. It's very tasty, something I definitely miss from other hotels. Banyalbufar is a sweet place at the northwest coast. It has high cliffs and a stony beach in a wonderful bay. We found out that in the west there is even a nicer bay and beach which is a bit tricky to find. It's not much of a walk, maybe 15 minutes but very adventurous. One shouldn't go there with kids, because you literally walk on 50 meter high cliffs to get there. It's a small path, mainly used by insiders and locals, Totally worth it (but beware of the risk walking there, one wrong step and finito)! Please treat Tofol nicely so that he can do his nice job for many many more years! Cheerio Christian & Yesim

The owner of this hotel has to be a large part of its charm and enjoyment, he is so welcoming and puts every effort into making one enjoy one's stay. He is a little idiosyncratic but that's all part of the charm. In many respects the hotel is more rudimentary than one might expect, small sachets of shower gel and shampoo, a bathroom door that doesn't quite shut but a bottle of red waiting in the room and replenished, cold drinks at a snip of a price downstairs, a great view of the sea, air con, someone ready to park your car if you couldn't find a space. Also a lovely atmosphere with international visitors in each of the rooms friendly and facilitated by a great host. Wifi is included, so is breakfast, it is bigger than we are used to and very nice. The village is small but friendly to visitors. It's beach isn't that great but it has several really lovely restaurants and is a quiet haven away the bigger resorts.we loved our visit and travelled the north coast of the island extensively in our few days here.

Feel lucky to have found such a gem. Beautiful and charming room in this period property, with absolutely stunning views over the sea and mountain below. We enjoyed a lovely bottle of wine (provided by the excellent host) sat in front of the window. It was perfect. What else.... Really peaceful and quiet, only the sound of birds. An honesty bar in reception catering for every taste (and great value) and perfect for a late night tipple. Fantastic breakfast. Very authentic. Two excellent restaurants very close by. We'll be back...
