On 23 January 2020, the new Balearic Law against Tourism Excesses entered into force, which prohibits all-inclusive deals with unlimited alcoholic beverages. Only a maximum of three alcoholic beverages per guest will be served during lunch and/or dinner.
We would also like to inform you of the following restrictions included in the law:
Practices which may endanger the life, health and physical integrity of guests are strictly prohibited at hotels, apartments and holiday properties. These practices include climbing from one balcony or window to another and jumping from inappropriate places such as balconies into swimming pools (a practice widely known as ';balconing';). Guests breaking the law will be immediately banished from the property and may be fined, states the law and the corresponding municipal regulations. The hotel/apartment manager or property agent must order said guests to leave immediately, which may require assistance from the security forces.
Failure to comply with the prohibition of practices which may endanger the life, health and physical integrity of guests will be considered a serious offence. In the Balearic Islands, serious offences are subject to a fine between 6,001 and 60,000 euros.

Stayed here for a cheap 5 night get away end of October and I wasn't expecting anything fancy as it's a 3 star but on arrival and looking over the balcony it looked more like the berut. The room was very basic and was very dusty and outdated but at the end of the day it's only a bed to sleep in for 5 nights so didn't want to make much of a fuss. The all inclusive breakfast was disgusting and ate out 4 of the 5 mornings during our stay ,all inclusive drinks don't exist as your only allowed 3 small alcoholic drinks or soft drinks with all inclusive in the afternoon but only between certain times. And you get a card which they mark when you get a drink at the bar. On exploring the sky bar it was beautiful and spent a couple of nights up there which is probably the best part about the hotel but was very disappointed as they decided to close it a couple of night with no excuse given. Each time looking about the room it became clear that the cleaners didn't do a very good job as I found rubbish, coins and toilet paper under the bed, there was cigarette ash all over the balcony which had never been cleaned on day on and it was still there on day 5 and this is why me and my partner decided to spend as much time out of the room as possible. There was two disgusting plastic chairs and no table but el arenal on a whole isn't very nice and obviously only catered for German and Dutch holiday makers. Didn't feel comfortable atall and sadly won't be back there again.. roll on next year for Palma nova.

Lovely and clean hotel but shouldn't really be advertised as all inclusive as there is the 6 drinks only per person rule each day due to the new rules introduced in the area, you can have 3 alcoholic drinks with lunch and the same with your evening meal and that doesn't include spirits, it's just local wine or beer, anything other than that you have to pay for, we knew this before going but not everyone did, a very small area to socialise after your evening meal so once the 5 tables have gone you have to either go back up to your room or go elsewhere, the view from some of the rooms are awful, we changed rooms 3 times but had a nice room in the end, most of the staff are friendly, the food is as you'd expect, breakfast was lovely, the area itself is more orientated towards the Germans and all the bars are German bars so to watch the English football was an issue, the view from the rooftop bar is stunning however your not allowed to take your drinks up there and the drinks that are served there are around 6 euros each, the beach is beautiful but was hassled a lot by vendors selling there wares, you get what you pay for so was fairly happy 😊

Ok good first, the staff were fine and helpful if you engage with them. Our room was ok as we had an accessable one after 1 night in a not too good room with very noisy neighbours..Being on a hill was a bit problematic (age related etc) although we persisted ,returning back to the hotel was a bit of a chore. Adults only was a good point ,we were all inclusive ! the 3 drink rule at lunch and dinner was fine for us as we dont drink very much (others disagreed). Food was ok and edible but got a bit same same over the week. The food layout could be improved to allow a better flow of guests as it was very busy at times especially around evening mealtime, it would be nice if other nationalities queued like the brits as it can be very frustrating when others just jump in ! Overall ok for the price ,.
