I have just returned today from 11 nights in the Hotel Cala Bona with my partner. I have visited Cala Bona more times than I care to remember however this was my first time at the HCB. It will not be my last. The staff are friendly and helpful, a particular shout out must go to Claire at the pool bar who worked tirelessly managing the bar, making all guests feel like friends and making our holiday even more special. Margaret in the pool bar kitchen too works so hard delivering great food, even staying back with Claire to keep the bar open for the England and Scotland euros games. The atmosphere therefore around the pool bar buzzes because of the buzz Claire creates, she is a diamond. Thank you! Reception were friendly and helpful, particularly in helping us hire a car. The restaurant staff were friendly too. Speaking of the restaurant, we were hugely impressed with the range and quality of food available during our stay. The only let down was the sausages at breakfast which were like rubber but I just chose not to have them! The main bar staff seemed stretched particularly on an evening however still always amiable and quick once you managed to get your order taken. We stayed in the bar block overlooking the harbour on the first floor. The room was perfect, a tree in front did detract from the view somewhat but obviously is not in the hotel’s control. The room as with the rest of the hotel was clean, spacious with good facilities and wardrobe space. I wouldn’t recommend being above the bar if you go to bed early as especially on the first floor, the music is loud but…..you’re on your holiday, why go to bed early?!?! The pool is a decent size, there was aqua aerobics during the week which was a fun workout with an enthusiastic young Spanish instructor. We had some rain which brought some sand down with it, it was testament to the hotel and it’s standards that on a couple of days they delayed opening the pool area to clean this away rather than leaving it for guests to do when they end up with sand on their clothes/towels, a nice touch. Sunbeds were not an issue(a novelty having stayed at the Levante for so many years!!). The new spa and gym area is beautifully finished. We made some lovely friends during our stay thanks to the friendly atmosphere that runs throughout the hotel. We were massively impressed and will undoubtedly return. I couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else in Cala Bona. I just hope as the hotel modernises, it maintains its character and soul which the Levante has sadly lost. “Great hotel loved it”

This is definitely the best hotel in Cala bona.we are a family of seven and all agree ,the food is good quality and served hot ,the staff are friendly and helpful nothing is too much trouble for them,the pool area is large and no problem getting a sun bed ,nice snack bar always plenty on offer ag... more

“Brilliant hotel”

We have booked to return next year.this hotel we could not fault.spotless.staff very good.food there was something to eat for all.entertainment for a hotel was spot on.people that moan about this hotel really should not go on holiday.as for the building work.it did not bother us at all.thanks hot... more
