“Lovely experience”

What a wonderful holiday we had at a lovely hotel. The staff were excellent and helpful and very much made the hotel what it was. It was clean and very well maintained and what a beautiful location, highly recommend for families visiting the island

“3* not 4* and plenty of areas for improvement”

We booked this hotel relatively last minute (4 weeks prior) but the price paid was in line with other TUI hotels we've stayed at previously. Unfortunately there are positives and negatives to this hotel but we definitely felt it would be better classified as 3* rather than 4*. Main reasons being the food quality (and variety) as well as the general cleanliness. We've been to TUI magic life before and would say these are "comparable' 4* family centred resorts but the difference was significant unfortunately in terms of food variety and cleanliness. Little things like not having any water fountains or water bottles doesn't align with previous AI experience and as described by other reviews expect lots of German centred cuisine (schnitzel, lots of pork in gravy type dishes) Cala Bona itself is a lovely location and we ventured down the nice coastal path and had a lovely meal out whilst in Cala Bona so would probably try another hotel nearby next time. Pool facilities are really good and kids splash park (whilst busy at peak times which is to be expected) has good slides etc which the kids enjoyed. Overall if you're considering booking unless you're getting a really good deal I'd maybe look elsewhere if good food is a key part of your holiday.

Afraid I wouldn't recommend staying at this hotel. I'm not sure what classes it as a 4*, I'd say 3* at best. Afraid I wouldn't recommend staying at this hotel. I'm not sure what classes it as a 4*, I'd say 3* at best. Here are a few pros and cons to help future guests - they would have helped me make an informed decision when deciding (not) to stay here... - the hotel and the rooms are dated, everything could do with a revamp (discoloured towels, floppy pillows, marked bedding) - walls are thin, you can hear kids running down the corridors at all hours and I can hear the next room snoring every night. If your room is near the pool, play area or grass infront of the sea then good luck getting to sleep before 11pm - hotel very centered around German guests for food at meal times and my goodness, I've never been in a room with so many rude people who push in and elbow to get food - general cleanliness (cleaners are around in the morning then it seems as though everything is left again til the following morning, empty glasses in lifts etc). Rooms are swept and beds made, that's about the limit. Bathroom and kitchen sides weren't cleaned once during our stay. The hotel would benefit from a deep clean and refurb. - hotel focuses on being 'green' but it removes the luxury elements of staying in an all inclusive hotel (e.g. can't change pool towels unless you pay, bedding not changed, lack of amenities in the room etc.) - kitchen in the room however no cloths or washing up liquid so I'd be surprised how often/if dishes etc are ever actually clean when put in the cupboards as I can't imagine many people buy washing up liquid on their holiday - it's peak holiday season and I think the hotel is understaffed, take a long time for tables to be cleaned in the restaurant, long bar queues at night - we arrived at 1.30am with a baby and were given a map with our room block circled, no offer of help with 4 suitcases and a pram in the dark + there is a nice walk down the coastal path to the harbour + the snack bar turns into a restaurant at night and the food was actually nice compared to the buffet food + you can help yourself to soft drinks dat the bar during the day so no need to queue All in all, if you fancy a cheap and cheerful holiday where kids run wild then it's probably the place for you. If you fancy a little more luxury when choosing your holiday I'd look elsewhere..

I came here with my two teenage daughters for a break of english weather, hotel is very clean and views are lovely however everything is aimed for germans and catered for them, the hotel was full of little kids and tui as a service never informed us about that, entertainment is all aimed for litt... more

I came here with my two teenage daughters for a break of english weather, hotel is very clean and views are lovely however everything is aimed for germans and catered for them, the hotel was full of little kids and tui as a service never informed us about that, entertainment is all aimed for little kids and nothing for older kids or adults. We spent lots of money at shops outside the hotel on food because of the lack of english food. We had a decent time but i would never come here again.
