This year we were allocated room 430, top floor with a sea view and a huge terrace with sun beds, we asked for a terrace with a supporting pillar and our wish was granted, the pillar gives some shade when you want a respite from the sun. The room was a very good size with a massive bed which is incredibly comfortable, The staff are excellent and the food is very good with plenty of choice. The hotel is quite old which is the reason it has large rooms and a lot of charm. Every year I stay at this hotel I have a wonderful time and lastly i believe it is excellent value for money.

I think this is a 3 star more than a 4 - absolutely fantastic location right on the marina (plenty of shops restaurants and bars right outside the hotel) If you’re young and looking for a big party place then this isn’t it - most places close at 11pm for food although there is one takeaway open ... more

I think this is a 3 star more than a 4 - absolutely fantastic location right on the marina (plenty of shops restaurants and bars right outside the hotel) If you’re young and looking for a big party place then this isn’t it - most places close at 11pm for food although there is one takeaway open until 1am A 10/15 minute flat walk down into Cala Millor which has the beach & is abit more lively - the beach is unreal pure white sands and clear seas Plenty of bars and restaurants all along the front. The hotel itself is mediocre - the standard rooms where quite small and 2 suitcases do take a lot of room up in there - but the rooms were clean and had a fridge which is a must !! The cleaner came and cleaned everyday she was amazing. The walls are PAPER thin - you can hear everything in the next room even if you’re just having a normal conversation. But luckily there wasn’t a lot of noise after midnight. The rooms were much cooler on a night than we thought so didn’t have to sleep with the air con on - the air con machines In the room are massive and work very well !! The beds were comfy and got a nice sleep every night. The food in the hotel wasn’t fantastic - the breakfast was nice (been a non meat eater there wasn’t a great choice of hot food) you had to get there first thing to get the best of the food as time went on it got untidy and scraps were left. There was one chef on a live station cooking fresh eggs which was nice. But decent choice of breads and fruits and cereals. The evening meal we skipped a few times as it wasn’t great. Nothing was paired well together at all just random dishes next to each other that didn’t go together. I kindly asked the chef to cook me some rice one evening as there wasn’t a veggie option and they refused and said they would the next day - the only choice there was was penne pasta with soya sauce :( But for the price we paid for the whole trip was decent for a week half board £640 each in peak July so we didn’t feel bad for skipping the evening meals and eating out sometimes The customer service was mediocre the staff weren’t rude but they also wouldnt bend over backwards for you either. The poolside was nice very clean but you have to get up super early to claim your sunbed as people are up from 6/7am to get one around the pool. I think the pool could be slightly bigger for the size of the hotel - there’s aqua aerobics and yoga every morning the instructor is great. The snack bar is quite expensive so id advise to buy your own things from the shops next door to save money. €4 a beer at the snack bar but 90cents for a can from the shop ! The hotel has a lovely family of 5 cats staying there which are lovely to watch :) Overall great location & lovely place to stay hope my honest review helps some people out - I would go back to Cala bona but stay in a different hotel if I’m totally honest but I’d recommend this place if your own a lower budget :)

“Pictures aren’t a true reflection.. beware”

Not a 4* even by Spanish standards. Hotel was refurbished a few years ago apparently but needs another! The photos online aren’t a true reflection of the hotel. Not a 4* even by Spanish standards. Hotel was refurbished a few years ago apparently but needs another! The photos online aren’t a true reflection of the hotel. It’s tired, not luxury by any means and needs more cleaning of the communal areas. The pool is small for the hotel size and the hotel, whilst not their fault, is split across a road. The rooms were clean and adequate and decor wise what you’d expect at a 2/3* hotel by English standards. The lift is bloody awful - you feel like it’s going to drop every time you get in it! Management - please replace as it’s worrying. It’s also not beachfront as I’d seen advertised although the beach is a 5 minute stroll away - €14 a day for 2 sunbeds though. The breakfast was ok and you have the option for omelettes/pancakes each day which helped, otherwise every day would be lukewarm fry up material. The dinner though was shocking. Strange mix of buffet food and the meat paella I had wasn’t cooked, rice was chalky and it was gross. The restaurants nearby are good, we ate at the restaurant next door to the hotel (on the left if the hotel is behind you) the first nice and the food was excellent. I think they also own the bar to the right hand side by the seafront. Cala Millor is also good for shops food etc. Overall would not return to this hotel but when you pay a couple of hundred pounds last minute, you get what you pay for!
