Hotel Cala D’or is something very special. It is a welcoming and tranquil hotel in a beautiful location with stunning views of Cala Petita beach and the sea beyond. We stayed for a week at the end of July and had an amazing time. The hotel is so clean and the rooms are tastefully decorated in light colours with very comfortable beds and good quality linen and towels. Efficient air conditioning kept everywhere comfortable. Breakfast has a great selection of good quality food and the made to order omelettes are delicious. The pool bar and outdoor areas have lovely views and sun loungers were readily available. It’s easy to access Cala Petita beach from a private gate, where the sea is clean, calm and lovely to swim in. Hotel staff are all polite and helpful - we had one minor hiccup with our power and it was rectified within minutes of us telling them. Location wise it is ideally situated for a short walk to either the marina or town, where there are a variety of restaurants to choose from, but it is far enough away from both to not be disturbed by noise. I would recommend the side sea view rooms so that you can enjoy the stunning views from your own room. We will definitely be returning!

“Fantastic location”

We had a room on the second floor ( garden view ) as Jet2 wanted a considerable amount more for a sea view room . We had a room on the second floor ( garden view ) as Jet2 wanted a considerable amount more for a sea view room . Garden view overlooks the road , it is generally a very nice quiet road BUT as a light sleeper , I was disturbed 3 nights on the run by local ( I assume ) teenagers being dropped off , with their own car disco going on , one night at 3 am , the next at 5am , this was completely out of the Hotels control but we did ask to move rooms , but were told this was not possible as the hotel was full . Fair enough . The hotel itself, the location is stunning , literally steps to the beach accessed through the hotel by a security coded gate . The hotel is very clean , it’s an older hotel but has lots of charm to it . The pool area is lovely and the bar and breakfast terrace areas over looking the beach can not be beaten . Breakfast was delicious , with lots of choice , lots of healthy choices …… apart from the cakes , which I did try not to have , but they were so delicious , I couldn’t help myself !!! Staff at breakfast work really hard , they are clearly extremely busy at all times but always polite . The night receptionist man was just lovely , always had a little chat , just a very nice man ! The centre of Cala Dor is minutes away , the marina 10 minutes on a slow walk , the location of this hotel is perfect . The beach next to the hotel is the prettiest , there is a beach bar with a lovely vibe in the evening underneath the hotel ( closed at 11pm ) . Rooms are ok , small but ok , in my opinion not 4 star . But this will be more important to you if you spend time in your room , we didn’t much , cleaned daily , beds made etc , no kettles in room ( charge if you want one which is a bit off ) . Would I stay again , absolutely

“Lovely hotel, but could be better”

Great position on the beach and on a quiet side street. Our room had partial sea view, which was lovely to look at the sea through the pine trees. Great position on the beach and on a quiet side street. Our room had partial sea view, which was lovely to look at the sea through the pine trees. Room was nice, beautifully clean and spacious with fridge but no tea or coffee making facilities. On check in we were told where the restaurant was. We weren’t told it was only open for breakfast! We found that the beach bar was also a restaurant but found that coincidentally.. We weren’t told you could get beach towels from reception and there was never anyone on reception to ask anything. There were people in the office behind but they rarely came out! We were there for 5 days and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is a 5 min walk from small shops and restaurants and about 15 mins to the harbour. Fab location, but just a bit impersonal for a family run hotel.
