“Great experience”
Cala Dor is such a beautiful place, hotel is located between two beaches, we spent 3 evenings at the cala gran beach until 10pm with our two small kids, we had pizza and a few beers , kids loved it, we ate in so many nice restaurants in cala dor, so i cannot comment on hotel eve meals , pool food w… more
Cala Dor is such a beautiful place, hotel is located between two beaches, we spent 3 evenings at the cala gran beach until 10pm with our two small kids, we had pizza and a few beers , kids loved it, we ate in so many nice restaurants in cala dor, so i cannot comment on hotel eve meals , pool food was nice, there is a supermarket close by with a fresh bakery also, we had lunch on our balcony a few times ,the hotel is amazing for the kids , we had a 2 year old and 8 year old with us,entertainment in the day time is great, pool slides are a bonus, we had a pool view room , it was spotless clean , Rudy the bar man was so nice and very friendly, will definitely return

“Cala d'Or Playa Apartments”
Haven't been but is the water slides in the toddler pool or main pool as I've 2 kids 11 and 13 who can swim just very hard to know from the pictures which pool the slides are in. Thank you. Thinking of booking for this coming summer and need water slides.

This was our first time vising cala d'or and we chose these apartments based on other people's reviews. We are so glad we did. The apartments are absolutely fantastic. From the moment we arrived everything about our stay was brilliant. We stayed in room 004, the apartment overlooked the pool and was absolutely spotless with lots of space and a huge balcony. The whole complex is very clean and tidy and it's clear the staff take great pride in the place. Everyone is very friendly and nothing is too much trouble, big shout out to the lovely Rudy who has now sadly retired. The breakfast was fantastic possibly one of the best we have had anywhere we have been. The pool itself is lovely and the animation team were fantastic considering it was end of season they still spent all day every day keeping the kids entertained. Location is perfect literally 5 minutes walk to cala gran beach and cala Esmeralda. Now for the one bad part, on our arrival home we went straight on the hotels website to book again for next year but unfortunately we were unable to book again unless we booked two rooms as one of my two children turns 15 next year and the apartments have a crazy policy that over 14's is classed as an adult and they don't allow 3 adults and a child of 8 stay in one room. I find this ridiculous as at the age of 15 he's still a child which the sofa bed is absolutely ok for him. Unfortunately it means we will have to book elsewhere as l have no intention of splitting our two children up into different apartments. It's a real shame as we loved it here.

We’ve stayed here twice. Myself and two children in May 2023 for 3 weeks, then again for a week as a full family in September 2024. Both times were great. We just book a room so don’t have loads of experience with the hotel food but the times we have had it, it’s been fine. The hotel is in a great location, the rooms are clean and serviced well. Cala D’or is an excellent place for families. We love it here, my children love the pool and park area. It’s just a good hotel with everything you need for a week in the sun in Spain.

“Avoid the third floor at all costs”
It's a lovely, relaxed place with an excellent pool for kids. The rooms are very clean and spacious. The staff is pleasant, and most speak good English. It's a lovely, relaxed place with an excellent pool for kids. The rooms are very clean and spacious. The staff is pleasant, and most speak good English. Breakfast is recommended, but dinner is a bit hit and miss. It's situated in a beautiful area with plenty of restaurants, pubs, and small coves nearby. Stayed on the third floor - a big mistake. No water for a shower in the evening on three of the seven nights we stayed there. Complaints were met with - we can't do anything about it - no pressure from the main supply - we have contacted the authorities but ... Apparently it only affected the third floor. Compensation of dinner and breakfast on our last day did little for us. By all means, go and enjoy but don't take a room on the third floor.
