What a beautiful hotel - this is the impression most guests feel as they walk into the lovely air conditioned reception. Everything in this hotel is extremely clean and the rooms, which are well equipped for room only guests, are cleaned each day. The restaurant has a vast menu both for breakfast and dinner which has a fortnightly rota so as guests have a different choice from the multi national menu. Everyone is so friendly something you first experience from the Reception personnel - all the staff from the girls who look after the rooms to management are very pleasant and helpful. The pool bar has a good menu for both snacks and meals and the bar itself in the evenings is also staffed by experienced, long lime employees.

“Hotel was ok but amazing staff”

Check in was fast and staff friendly ..communal areas spotlessly clean ..our room was ok ..bedroom/living room /kitchen area again spotlessly clean..bathroom could do with an update and a deep clean as wasn’t very clean around the bidet ,bottom of shower screen,tiles and black mould on the silicon… more

Check in was fast and staff friendly ..communal areas spotlessly clean ..our room was ok ..bedroom/living room /kitchen area again spotlessly clean..bathroom could do with an update and a deep clean as wasn’t very clean around the bidet ,bottom of shower screen,tiles and black mould on the silicon seal …well equipped kitchen ,comfy beds ,good shower ,good towels and nice garden area with sunbeds and table and chairs ..there was a dehumidifier in both our apartments and a smell of damp which suggests there’s an issue ..we were forever emptying the dehumidifier as it filled up quickly …room felt cold and damp on a night too ..safety deposit box was quite small for 3 adults and could only fit a few things in there ..outside our rooms in the corridor were some wooden cabinets with recycling bins inside ..there was an awful smell from them sometimes and 100’s of tiny flies constantly on the walls and bins ..as you walked past you were swarmed with them .dread to think what it’s like in summer months …only one pillow each but that was quickly remedied after a visit to reception. As it was coming to the end of season there wasn’t anything open close by apart from a supermarket so ended up paying for breakfast and dinner a few times as having two small children in our party it was easier than travelling trying to find somewhere to eat at night for all of us ..we found the breakfast to be great with lots of choices but the evening meals not so good ..soups were nice as were the salads and desserts and the pizza was good too but didn’t always have that ..food wasn’t very child friendly for a family hotel..food at the pool bar was very good apart from they had run out of a few things I wanted as it was end of season .. Entertainment just ok ..some of the acts were a bit cringey but the entertainment team made them better by joining in ..sadly not much going on through the day for the kids or adults this time of year but they enjoyed the pool tables ping pong and arcade . The pools were ok ..one was heated which was nice and other was freezing so hardly used by anyone but plenty of sunbeds as hotel wasn’t too busy and a hot shower which was sometimes needed to warm you back up when you got out of the pool as the weather wasn’t great . The beach which is a minute away out of the back gate is a lovely beach with calm warm sea so great for the kids…you need your room card to get in and out . Whilst the hotel was ok and we all enjoyed our holiday I personally would rate it as more of a good 3* and would not visit again that time of year in that area as just was not enough open nearby .

We came here for a 7 day family holiday with my 3 children hotel was clean check in was easy and fast and all information was given and the people at the desk very helpful and friendly the hotel was very clean swimming pool was clean and lots of sun beds and places to relax bar staff were friendly and prices were reasonable entertainment staff very good with the kids rooms very clean and cleaning staff do a good job smells amazing when you walk in

“Out of season quiet hotel.”

If I could rate this 3.5 (good) then I would. This review is based on a September stay so just out of season so please do not compare it to July/august if you are planning to stay then as from reading the other reviews I can see it’s a different experience with more entertainment etc. Stayed Thur… more

If I could rate this 3.5 (good) then I would. As a couple (left the kids at home) Firstly I can say the hotel is spotlessly clean and smells beautiful (lemony) as you walk in. Staff on reception are super friendly as our the cleaners . We stayed self catering so cannot comment on the food. Our room was well equipped for a 4 night stay, we didn’t actually cook there in the end just made a couple of brews. Bakery across the road was great for fresh pastries in the morning. The supermarket also was handy for picking up a quick pasta salad for lunch and we ate out every night. The room (005) ground floor. I have to admit it is in need of some TLC. There is clearly a damp issue as the room had a dehumidifier (I also noticed the room next door did aswell) the flooring as you walk in was lifted and the skirting in areas was rotten suggesting there had been some kind of leak. A very slight musty smell in the air, and a reed diffuser outside the room suggesting maybe there is an on going issue? Either way for what we paid (just under £800 for 2 adults flying from Bristol) it was ok. The air con just sounded like a loud fan and with the bedroom door shut the bedroom didn’t seem to stay cooler only the main room. But being September this wasn’t a major issue, only one night we found a little hot. Beds are comfortable enough , I just feel this room in particular needs a little bit of tlc and an update. The pool areas were lovely and clean, plenty of sunbeds, hardly anyone at the hotel (guessing as it was out of season). The kids entertainment in my opinion (watching for the side lines, as not having my kids with me) was lacking. Some colouring in, little bit of face paints. One child asked for the football goals out and the staff did 2 goal shots with him then went to sit with the other staff member on the stage colouring. Again from reading the other reviews I’m guessing this is as it was out of season and not many kids there for them to entertain. We didn’t go to the evening entertainment but could see/hear if from our room, which thankfully did end early enough not to effect sleep. There seemed to be something different advertised for each night of the week but I cannot comment on how it was. There is a luggage room with showers in so if you have a late fight you can use this once you have checked out to make the most of your last day. We had an issue with our room key not working and this was promptly fixed by the engineer replacing the battery. Location was perfect , about a half hour walk towards the port end where there are plenty of restaurants and shops (busier end) A 2 minute walk to the most beautiful beach. There are a couple of restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk of the hotel. This hotel was a 2hour transfer ! Being the 2nd to last drop off (jet 2) however on the way back it only took 1 hour. If it’s cheap to get a private transfer then I would recommend doing so. It was my birthday on the Sunday and I was left a bottle of fizz in the room, a lovely touch thank you. The area in general is prone to biting bugs (think this is due to the canal system ) so just remember your bite cream and replant. All in all this was a good hotel for a couple not wanting to be in the middle of all the hustle and bustle but within easy enough reach if you wanted to go there. Hotel is right on the bus route which is also handy and easy to use. Based on our experience and room we were given I would rate this a 3 star hotel.
