We had stayed at this hotel 20+ years ago when it was the Delfin Verde, a hotel well known to the locals and the basic structure has remained. Since that time it has undergone two name changes to AluaSoul and currently Bordoy, the latter only a week or so before our weeks stay. The hotel has seen some contemporary modernisation with updated Atrium, pool area, restaurant and rooms. Our arrival at the hotel was net with friendly and welcoming staff who gave as summary of the hotels activities, dining times, facilities etc and a request for the Tourist Tax before we received the keys to our room on the 5th and top floor overlooking wasteland and a run down hotel which seemed to be mainly populated with hotel staff from around the resort. A spacious room with a Super ~King ~Double bed and large shower room. There was a lack of storage space with only a built in double wardrobe and one drawer but adequate for a couple on a short stay. There was a kettle with tea/coffee and milk, but this was not really replenished on a daily basis,just two of everything if you were lucky. Fortunately there is a Lidl store nearby so we were able to purchase some milk and water to store in the small fridge. Coffee and tea sachets were taken from the bar or restaurant area to provide our own stock. POOL- The pool is a decent size with plenty of comfortable beds, there was also a grassed area with upgraded beds which we assumed were for the guests in Superior Rooms although this was not advised officially but guests wore different coloured bands probably denoting this fact or they were on B&B and not AI. There was a lifeguard on duty and it made for a pleasant change to not have large signs everywhere telling you what you can’t do or take in the water. BAR/RESTAURANT -The only bar is alongside the pool and is open daily from around 10am to 11pm. Snacks were available outside Restaurant times consisting of mainly chips, burgers, sausages and vegetarian options. There were also sweet alternatives like biscuits/pastries and sandwiches. A coffee machine and soft drinks/eater dispenser were available. The lack of other bars meant it was busy at times with frequent queuing. The main dining area was buffet style with the seating area resembling a school canteen. Plenty of bread as usual, soup, salads, main dishes and desserts.Food not always labelled so hard to know what you were eating and probably a nightmare for anyone with allergies. Curry with bones was not for us!! Desserts were typical and colourful with jellies , rice pudding etc and a lack of custard(personal choice). The best meal was breakfast IMO with a choice of toast, cooked options liked eggs, bacon, sausages. Cold meats.cheese, cereals, yogurts and fruit. Despite some undesirable meal options you would definitely not go hungry! There was also an A La Carte Restaurant which could be pre-booked for one visit during your stay. We didn’t take up this option and reviews seemed to indicate it was uninspiring and guests were rushed through the experience. Daytime activities are sparse with shooting, archery and aquarobics erratically scheduled throughout the week. For us It was a welcome change to not be disturbed everyday by young, loud adrenaline fuelled junkies rousing you from your poolside slumber to engage in energetic pastimes accompanied throughout the day by loud thumping music. The animation team comprised only one guy,David, very pleasant, not plushy at all. Evening entertainment was mainly pub singer variety which did get people singing even if it was laughably amateurish together with a weekly helping of Karaoke sand Bingo. In summary , if you want a quiet, clean comfortable hotel in a good location close to the beach, shops and Port, this Hotel offers a good choice. We would visit again as we found it to be a very peaceful, comfortable and relaxing experience.

We arrived after an hour and a half transfer from Palma airport. As soon as we stepped into the hotel we were greeted by a bright and large reception area. We asked if we could upgrade to all inclusive and reception were happy to accommodate us. Yes you have to pay for tourist tax up front but you would have to pay for it anyway. I didn't find this an issue. Our room was lovely and bright with a large shower. Rooms are cleaned every day. The hotel was spotless. There are 2 pools. There were always plenty of sunbeds even in the afternoon. Food was varied. You can always find omething that you will like. We booked the A La Carte. My friend had salmon and I had the vegetarian option. I would recommend. Daytime activities were minimal but this didn't bother us as we went for walks most days after breakfast. The Beach is lovely. Less than a 10 min walk. There is a Lidl, near the hotel and a pharmacy and a few local bars near by. We walked to the marina. It took us 40 mins to walk. Think we took the wrong path. It was lovely. We also visited the Old Town.. Sunday and Tuesday is market day. It was lovely to walk around the ruins and sit snd have a drink. Be prepared to wait 20 mins or so at the taxi rank on your return. We got reception to book our taxi. Shared with 4 others it cost 5 euros per pair. 6 Euros for 2 of us on the way back. Evening entertainment was singers on a few nights. Music quiz on another. The bar is shut at 11.30 so you either can sit in reception with your drinks or take them up to your room. I think midnight would be a better time to close. But the bar staff work so hard. Alba, Israel, Juan and Davide from animation all work hard to keep hotel guests happy and they all speak English. We had great weather met some lovely people and everywhere felt safe and clean. A very enjoyable week.one more thing look out for the stray cat. She is lovely.

“Some positives but also negatives”

Best thing about this Hotel was the staff who were very pleasant and had to work extra hard as it seemed like they were understaffed.This Hotel deafnately not 4 stars . One bar next to the pool sitting area like Cafe with horrible concrete floor this is also where entertainment was held.and ... more

Best thing about this Hotel was the staff who were very pleasant and had to work extra hard as it seemed like they were understaffed.This Hotel deafnately not 4 stars . One bar next to the pool sitting area like Cafe with horrible concrete floor this is also where entertainment was held.and television where mostly football fans were.rooms need upgrade food OK. Unfortunately week we were there alot of Hen parties and Stag so a lot of noise and big queue at Bar .taking over the pool just sitting round edge with drinks .very disappointed deafnately wouldn't return

This is a honest review about the hotel. We originally booked this hotel last year as we thought it was a alusol brand.its now a different brand but we thought it couldn't be much different so came. Pros Near to restaurants, bars and electric bike hire shop Pools warm Staff are lovely The bread at the resturant is amazing Hotel is clean but the pool toilet smell of blocked drains. Cons The food is very limited. Even the salad is dull! Nothing with alot of flavour We ate out 5 nights out of 7 The specialist restaurant is a joke! Brusetta with chopped onions on! The dessert was white chocolate moose, which was infact chocolate chip ice cream with white chocolate on, We did try to move hotels but the jet 2 rep was just full of it and could have talked himself out of anything.he always had a alot of people complaining every night Apparently it's the local govement who decide the star rating. My honest option is this is a 3 star,no way a 4 or a tui platinum I'm gutted I spent what I did coming here when I could have gone somewhere alot better. Majorca is beautiful so ill be back but I'd never come back to this chain of hotels and I'm annoyed with jet 2 for not being more helpful and saying the hotel was just as good as before as I spoke to people who previously came and they said it had changed alot. Just disapointed

It's flat all the way with lots of amazing restaurants along the bay* Drink / Meal Recommendations Muddys Woodfire and grill Aqua restaurant Hiru Pippers restaurant
