“Great Place”

Lovely quiet, relaxing holiday. Rooms lovely, great balcony. The area is far enough away from anything but also near enough. We will return without question. Great staff. The pool area is fantastic, there’s no mad rush for sunbeds, each room provided their own anyway on their balcony. Currentl... more

“Perfect for a chilled break in Lanzarote!”

Booked last minute through Jet2, I selected this hotel as we didn’t want the chaos of families with young children. The hotel itself is lovely, there is art work all over the indoor and external areas which is quirky and interesting! The standard of our apartment was excellent, we paid for air... more

  • Yes, guests at Nautilus Lanzarote have highlighted that: What an amazing hotel!! We booked here last minute due to the issue at manchester airport and Jet2 cancelling our original holiday. We was not dissapointed. Firstly the whole place is spotless, Ive never stayed in a Hotel so dedicated to cleanliness. The whole team from the reception staff to the groundsmen and cleaners work non stop. The area around the hotel is full of art and sculptures and some of it it truly amazing. Downstairs from reception (there is a lift also) is a whole floor full of art and sculptures that I believe you can purchase. There is some really lovely items and well worth a look round. We arrived late but we was quickly checked in and guided to our room (the gentleman on reception even wheeled my wifes case to our room). We didnt request aircon when I booked but you can pay once you get there which was seven euros per day. Nice little welcome pack (water/tea?coffee etc) on the table and we was shown briefly what did what in our room including lighting and the wifi etc. Unfortunatley all the shops was closed so we dumped our cases and found the local bar for some swift drinks before calling it a night!! Firstly, this hotel is set up incredibly well for guests who are either disabled or have mobility issues. Everything around the grounds are accessible by ramps or walkways including the pool area. All the reception areas including the entrances are all flat and even the kids pool which is set slightly higher is accessible via a small ramp both sides. There are steps for access to certain apartments but all the communial places are flat or ramped access which is absolutley brilliant. One thing that I was amazed by was the provision of a hoist so disabled guests could get in and out of the pool and enjoy their holiday as much as everyone else, it truly was lovely to see a couple of guests whilst we was there enjoying some pool time with their families!! There is traditional stepped access but even these was wide and shallow for people with walking difficulties. Pool area is immaculate with very comfy sunloungers with parasols which are fixed and you need to ask the lifeguard to wind them open as there put away and tied up every evening. My only gripe with this area was a severe lack of any bins or anywhere to place your rubbish so you have to either keep it with you or take it back to your room. Rooms- we stayed room 45, in a one bed and my daughter slept on the sofa bed which was a pull out design but she said was really comfy. We had a double bed in our room which was comfy along with the standard wardbrobe arrangement. Plenty of space to store stuff but another bedside drawers would of been nice. Lounge had table and chairs plus the sofa which was hard but comfy. It is made of some kind of washable/plastic type of material which you stick to if your not careful to make sure you have a t-shirt or top on otherwise you will loose your skin!!! Nice large TV with some english channels plus you get your own wifi router so the kids are happy! Kitchen is small but has the usual hob/fridge/freezer, loads of utensils and an oven which is a first. You also have a little private outside drying space accessed through the side door. Outside of your room you also have your own sunlougers and parasols plus the usual table and chairs. Only thing with this was the lack of privacy. Our apartment was in a semi arrangement so our patio was sort of shared with next door. It wasnt a problem and was never an issue, was just a bit strange after staying in places with private balconies. The other so called problem was your table and chairs backed onto the wall (which is only about 5ft tall) onto the other neighbours side whos table and chairs also backed onto the same wall. Basically you couldnt sit out having a conversation as your neighbour is literally behind you!! Again it wasnt an issue but you do lack a little privacy at times. I did have a wander around the grounds and some of the other rooms are completely private so maybe it was just our "block". Bathroom is a wet room with a sliding door and adapted for wheelchair usage. Nice, clean, and plenty of room to shower etc and even has complimentary shower gell/shampoo. Plenty of towels which was changed daily if required and they also supply you with pool towels. Basically the whole room is designed and laid out for wheelchair users or like Ive said before maybe people with mobility issues. There is no shop or bar on site but they do do a breakfast which we never used but looked like a continental offering. Nearest shop is about 200 yards from the hotel. Turn left out the hotel, left again, first right and its just at the side of another complex. There is another Spa type shop down at the commercial centre along with loads of other shops, bars, restuarants etc which is a very pleasant five minute walk away. The one slight downside to the hotel is its a little far away from PDC but a taxi was only around seven euro and reception will call one for you using your room number. Theres plenty to do around but if your after a more lively holiday with entertainment, shows, kids club etc then stay somewhere else. The Nautilus is a Brilliant, amazing place to unwind and relax without the hussle and bussle of a massive complex. Please DO NOT be put off thinking its soley a place for disabled people, it isnt!! There was familys and groups of all ages. Its lovely and peaceful and everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Also on a side note, you are close to the airport which if your a bit of an avgeek like me its perfect!! But you do here quite a bit of aircraft noise but in all honestly after a little while you switch off. On the other hand it is nice to watch the planes come and go and the airport does close around 11pm. Overall this place is perfect for a relaxed holiday with no hassle and the most amazing friendly staff who take care of everything when needed. Id especially like to say a thankyou to the cleaners and maids who were always working away with a smile and a friendly wave when they passed by!! We will definatley return here soon!!!
