We have just returned after three weeks at Labranda El Dorado. I had read previous reviews and wondered if we had made the right choice. I needn't have worried - we had a wonderful time. Every member of staff that we met was friendly, our apartment was spotless when we arrived and the hard working cleaners made sure it stayed that way and our towels and bed linen were changed regularly. The gounds were also kept in an imaculate condition and they added to the enjoyment of our stay. There always seems to be plenty of free sunbeds - we didn't use them as we preferred our sunny balcony. We did visit the pool bar for coffee several times and enjoyed both the coffee and the atmosphere, The apartments are so well situated - the back gate makes shopping in the shopping centre so easy - and the reception entrance is close to several smaller shops (ideal for hot bread rolls in a morning.) Other reviews have mentioned insects - we once met a cockroach in the bathroom. We removed him and that was that. The only slight downside was the lack of utensils in the kitchen - there were no scissors and the large implements providing for stirring were too big for the pans - a plastic spoon would be a great help. Also the smaller saucepan did not have a lid - which is a hazard when reaching over it to stir something in the pan at the back. A basin or similar container would also be useful. However this had little impact on our holiday. Thank you to all of you - we hope to return next year.

“Basic but great location.”

Great location. Near to shops bars and restaurants not far from beaches bus stop ops etc. it’s got a main entrance and a rear gate to use to get to shopping centre and old town. Great location. Near to shops bars and restaurants not far from beaches bus stop ops etc. it’s got a main entrance and a rear gate to use to get to shopping centre and old town. Gardens on the complex nice and well kept and paths lit up at night. Pool behind reception not heated and we didn’t use. Pool far left from reception slightly heated but still very cool. We always managed to get a sun bed but at times they were all taken (school hols). The parasols were concreted into the ground so don’t blow over but can mice to where is needed either. A leaflet provided by reception stated pools closed at 6pm but they actually closed heated pool at 5pm and the cold pool at 6pm which was misleading and strange considering most people used the heated/sunnier pool later than the non heated pool. There was always a lifeguard on duty. Rooms basic but ok bottle of water provided in room on arrival. Cold water pressure in room non existent we had 2 sinks in the bathroom one just stopped when turned to cold the other just about ran a trickle of cold water but trying to get a cool temp on the shower was near impossible as it was scalding hot (and I like a hot shower) or just a trickle. Could be a little noisy at night from passing cars or karaoke from nearby bars but didn’t stop us sleeping. Wi-Fi patchy but ok (worked on balcony and living room but not in bathroom or bedroom). Nice big balcony with table and 2 chairs also an extendable drying rack. We were 3rd floor and felt very secure and could leave windows open as there’s no way of gaining access to them from the outside. Air con was included but we didn’t need it in Feb and the Safe also included but you need a fab thing to activate it from reception. If you ask at reception they will also provide pool towels. We didn’t have any bugs or mosquitoes in our room during our stay. Clean probably visited 3 time over the week to mop floor, smelt like they cleaned bathroom and replaced towels. Bedding not changed. Would I stop again? Yes for the right price down to its location.

Excellent location rooms could be cleaner but a good size, basic kitchen equipment but it does what you need. No entertainment but loads going on outside, only small reception manned. Cleaners in every day but didn't clean room just checked on bedding and towels I think. Would still re visit it was… more

“A week in the sun”

Hotel complex was large and generally tidy. Very impersonal no interaction with staff. Drinking and dining facilities poor. Hotel complex was large and generally tidy. Very impersonal no interaction with staff. Drinking and dining facilities poor. Pool with the most rules I ever saw was cool and all rules were broken every day. Room was spacious and clean with good big bathroom and separate bedroom. All goods supplied worked ok. The whole complex was just, tired. No specific complaints, the weather was good, but I’m sure I co7ld have chosen better.
