I stayed at Hyde Park Lane for 4 nights as a solo traveller (little break away). The location, perfect! A nice, quiet location, just a 5 min walk from the seat front, sandwiched between Los Pocillios and Puerto Del Carmen. I arrived early and popped by bag in their luggage room, which has a chain lock for your bags. It costs 1 euro, but its returned once you’ve finished using it. The only strange thing is that you chain up your luggage, but anyone can undo the zip and take things out and eave the bag if they wanted to. Just made me chuckle and not a problem. Check in and instructions were easy. My apartment was number 77. Not far from the pool and in a quiet spot which some shade! Most apartments did not have shade, again no problem, but it was nice to have an apartment with a patio with some shade. The patio area was spacious, with table and three chairs, a washing line and a BBQ. The gardens and grounds are very well maintained and patio was mopped on occasions. Entering the apartment, clean, with a smart tv, phone, sofa, kitchen with microwave, cooker top, skin, new sponge and washing liquid. There were plates, cutlery, glasses, good sized fridge – very impressed. There was also a kettle, coffee machine and pods and toaster. The bathroom was a disabled access wet room, it was huge! Larger than my 2nd bedroom at home! Shampoo and shower gel provided, along with a bar of soap and towels. The shower was very good, plenty of hot water too. There was also Wi-Fi boxes in each apartment, so internet was good. The bedroom consisted of two single beds sand a safe – you pay of the safe at the front desk if you want to use it. Lots of space for clothes too and windows which opened fully (with bars), lets in a lovely breeze. The bedding was clean and comfortable. I went half board. The food was nice but lacking many hot choices. You had the cheeses, ham, about 3 different sausage / frankfurter options, fruit, pastries, and cookies. They had pancakes, scrambled egg (very watery) fresh smoothies and muffin type things. For dinner, there were lots of salad, crackers, parma ham, dessert selections, a selection of “hot” dishes and freshly cooked meats in a live cooking station. The trouble with the station, is that everyone queues there and so no one can get to the food because the hoards just stand there waiting for a hot meat cooked fresh. The hoards tend to get to dinner for as soon as it opens at 18:30. So you would expect the food to be hot, however, the food was tepid at best. Hot plates and heat lights were not seemingly on. I got some mash potato and it was cold. I got Canarian potatoes, they were cold. I got some tempura fish, it was tepid. I could not see a microwave to warm food up, but at 18:30, I would expect it to be hot. I would recommend getting there at 19:30 when the hoards have decreased and fresh food is bought out from the kitchen, which should hopefully be hot. The pool area was nice, lots of seating and shade. The pool was a good size and there is another pool across the road in the other block. There is a mini supermarket (overpriced) but convenient just under the hotel. Overall, I had a lovely stay. Thoe hotel is lovely, the staff are friendly and attentive, it was just a shame that the hot dishes were luke warm or stone cold.

Overall a very pleasant place to stay, very quiet, about a 15 minutes walk to the beach. There is a supermarket on site but some larger ones nearby. Bars and restaurants as well. My studio apartment was very comfortable, clean and had everything I needed, including a fridge. The grounds and faculties are relaxing, with a nice pool and plenty of sun beds. Unfortunately I had to visit reception 3 times, the first day as my safe was faulty and then twice on the last day as my door card, turned out a new battery was needed on my door, promptly sorted by the maintenance man. The food was generous and mainly very good with ample choice for all sittings.. One evening though the main selection was burgers and hot dogs, the quality of this was awful and like many others (including my two friends) people had one mouthful and left the rest. Fortunately there were alternative choices to dine on. All staff were very friendly, helpful and polite. The cleaners did an excellent job, keeping everything clean and tidy. I would happily return here, overall a very enjoyable experience.

“Nice & Relaxing”

Had a lovely time at Hyde Park Lane, short trip of 5 days it was lovely appartments were so clean and well equipped with everything you needed for a self catering holiday with air con included, hotel was quiet and relaxing no problem getting a sunbed round the pool area. 2 pools one next to reception has music playing and activities the pool across the road is more quiet no music ideal if you want to relax with a book. You can take your own drinks to the pool however the pool next to reception has a bar and restaurant you pay a little bit more for drinks. There is also a little shop next to reception you can get a few essentials, little bit more price wise than other shops along the road but we got heavy stuff from there to save carrying it back. 10 min walk to the front promenade and beach. When you get to the front trun right lots of bars and restaurants you can eat as cheap or expensive as you want. Never had a bad meal out everything was so nice. We also visited Rancho Texas which wasn't far from the hotel we walked its about 10 mins but you do have to cross some main roads so if you have a few kids maybe a taxi would be best. I also emailed hotel before arrival to ask if our appartments could be next to family we were travelling with thank you we really appreciated this ❤️ Over all lovely hotel and staff would definitely return again.
