Wow what an amazing stay in an amazing hotel. Beautifully located and so quiet. The room was cleaned every day and the bed was enormous and so comfy. The food was lovely and different choices daily. The service in the dining room and bar was impeccable. We stayed for Xmas and New Year and was looked after from start to finish. We will definitely be returning to paradise 😁

We stayed at Hip Hotel Le Geria in April while meeting family, and overall, it was a decent experience for a budget getaway. Lanzarote isn’t typically my go-to destination, but the hotel offered enough to keep us entertained, even with the weather being a bit hit and miss. The hotel itself had plenty to do, which was a plus, though I found the food to be pretty average. The service around the pool area was good, but I was a bit disappointed that floats couldn’t be used for sunbathing. The location was definitely one of the highlights. It’s close to the airport, the beach, and a selection of shops and bars. While it was relatively quiet during our stay, I imagine the area would be bustling during high season. A short taxi ride to the main strip opened up a variety of restaurants, bars, and live entertainment options, which added to the experience. Overall, while the hotel didn’t blow me away, it was perfectly acceptable for a budget-friendly getaway. If you’re looking for a convenient, affordable stay with decent amenities and proximity to local attractions, Hip Hotel Le Geria is worth considering.

There is good and not so good things about this hotel and many of the issues have been raised previously by other guests. Firstly the good points: It's exceptionally clean. The staff are welcoming and work extremely hard. Gracias! Pool towels provided and you can take them to the beach. Very handy. Kettle, fridge, aircon/heating and safe all in the room FOC. I found beds very comfortable and we slept soundly every night. Hardly any neighbour noise could be heard. Cleaners seemed to respect the "do not disturb" sign on the door and left us to sleep in. Very close proximity to the beach and small strip of bars and restaurants. We were half board and they allow you to swap your evening meal for lunch instead which I found great. Now the not so great points (and I hate doing this) : Rooms are tiny. You cannot swing a cat in them and there is one decent drawer and definitely not enough coat hangers. Suggest bedside cabinets instead of a table thing. The kettle did not have a plug socket near to it and an extremely short lead meaning the lamp had to be unplugged every time we wanted to make a cuppa. Dangerous tbh! Also first time we used the kettle it frothed every where so we assumed it had been treated for scum and not washed properly. Very bad! They've had a refurb but the standard of workmanship is poor. Grouting untidy and the shower water escapes under the shower screen leaving a wet floor. No where to put shower toiletries. It is ridiculous and clearly it's been recognised as an issue as they have stuck a cheap plastic stool in the bathroom which I used to stand shampoo etc on..the soap sat precariously wedged between their provided soap bottles. Restaurant - breakfast was always busy and invariably there was no coffee or hot milk in the machines. It was lucky if you managed to get some. There is another machine that contains everything but only one and of course chaotic when other machines were empty..you found yourself wandering from one side of the restaurant to the other to hunt coffee and milk down! Food was buffet style and mostly luke warm. Microwaves provided...so that says it all. Only on 1 occasion were we offered cava for breakfast. Having been in many 4 star hotels it's normally always available for your morning bucks fizz. Apparently regular guests to the hotel say this has changed as it was always available. We did have a glass one evening too. Pool area...Far too many trees! It's far too shaded. Most sunbeds are shaded and only one or two areas which get decent sun and of course these beds are gone early in the morning. It's a beautiful pool area..but definitely tree management should be addressed. Evening entertainment was poor. The bar and dance area are lit up with bright white lights and it's hardly conducive to romantce or very welcoming. And the entertainment is finished by 10pm...!! I'm unsure who the hotel is aiming to please...we're in our 60s but definitely do not want to be tucked up in bed by 10pm and do not need everything to be brightly lit up! And another extremely annoying thing is the front gate locks at midnight! This means a long walk around to the back (front) of the hotel down a dark path. Clearly they do not expect their guests to be staying out late!! So to sum up..a nice hotel with room for improvement. Not sure how it's got 4 star status but they need to look at H10 Timanfaya Palace in Playa Blanca to see how a 4 star hotel operates. I hope the hotel will take the review as constructive criticism and make some tweaks to improve as I think it could be fabulous!

“So so week away.”

Can only echo what a few people have said. We are here now superb location right on the beach. Hotel is spotless and the pool area is very good (apart from the towels on sunbeds as soon as daylight cracks). Can only echo what a few people have said. We are here now superb location right on the beach. Hotel is spotless and the pool area is very good (apart from the towels on sunbeds as soon as daylight cracks). Stayed at the Elba in Playa blanca last year all inclusive and all branded spirits included not here though they are an additional cost. Another thing is the evening at table drinks service it is painfully slow. Shame really but if we did come back it would be bed and breakfast (breakfast is very good the evening food not so good).
