The rooms are lovely and spacious. We had a two bedroom apartment. Which came with two bathrooms with a shower .they ask you to bin your toilet paper not flush it. Lovely kitchen. The rooms are lovely and spacious. We had a two bedroom apartment. Which came with two bathrooms with a shower .they ask you to bin your toilet paper not flush it. Lovely kitchen. With a washing machine. Iron and ironing board.there is a coffee machine coffee pod you can buy from reception. 10 euros for 10 pods but really nice coffee you can buy water to.nice living space with TV be careful with the coffee table it's glass coffee table knocked my leg a few times.we were in room 4 lovely view of the pool and sea .the beach area has lots of rocks not easy to walk on.there are lots of step .it's only rated two star which is shock well worth more than that. The complex has two small pools.heated in November. Cleaning staff cleaning every day .but mainly to empty the bin with toilet paper. Velazquez is situated right on the sea front on the strip near to lots of lovely bars and restaurants. If you love football see if UD lanzarote are playing you will love that.would I stay again 100% yes

“Outstanding”

Outstanding hotel, we had a wonderful 2 week stay. Rooms cleaned every day, the cleaners & all hotel staff were very friendly & helpful. The hotel was immaculate. Wonderful sea views, although it does sound like a lottery as to what room you get. I did enquire about reserving a room for a future date but was informed that is not possible. I can understand people who have had unpleasant stays if their view is a brick wall, that really would be disappointing. Thankfully we were very fortunate with our room. Easy access to the sea, my wife got chatting to a lovely couple who introduced us to snorkelling, I’d never tried it before, outstanding, one of the highlights of the holiday. Highly recommended. No problem getting a sun lounge either, always available & extremely comfortable, I done some sleeping on them. The hotel Is in the perfect location right outside casino. Endless bars & restaurants on your door step. Himilaya is well worth a visit , Hong Kong is fantastic & extremely reasonable. Universo was lovely aswel.If you like a cheap pint, the casino bar is opposite the hotel. We didn’t have any issues regarding noise during the night. Water sold on site at a similar price to the shops, saves you carrying it all the way back from the shop which could be a struggle. There are quite a few stairs there so it won’t suit anybody who isn’t mobile. Lots of day trips to enjoy & almost all of our trips picked us up at the casino bus stop which is located outside the hotel. I would avoid the water park, it was woeful, we go to water parks were ever we stay & have thoroughly enjoyed them but this was awful. Dated, run down & badly set out. We lasted about 45 mins, we normally spend the day there so that was an expensive mistake. Also, if you use Revolut or anything similar, there is a Banca March at the casino bus stop & there’s also one about a 15 min walk away by Sketchers if that one isn’t available. Overall, a fantastic island & a wonderful hotel, we hope to book again next year.

Lovely complex athough lots of steps getting into the complex and getting to your room. Staff not so lovely. Reception staff rude telling me there was nothing wrong with the loose shower cubicle door we reported and we needed to be more gentle. Then when checking out no safe journey or goodbyes jus… more

Lovely complex athough lots of steps getting into the complex and getting to your room. Staff not so lovely. Reception staff rude telling me there was nothing wrong with the loose shower cubicle door we reported and we needed to be more gentle. Then when checking out no safe journey or goodbyes just where is the remotes? Wouldn't go back as there is no guarantee of a sea view room and some rooms weren't the best being below the pool looking at brick walls and no daylight. We were lucky enough to get a sea view room but other holiday makers we spoke to weren't so lucky.
