Was very anxious because of all the negative reviews , but our experience was amazing . The location and the staff make this complex . From check in to check out we met fabulous staff who went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The reception staff are patient and considerate. I had asked for a lower apartment and got one on the lower level . Sheets and towels were spotless and changed regularly. The food was plentiful at breakfast and dinner . Breakfast was the usual fare with plenty of cooked food as well as cheeses and cold meats . We always found something to eat at dinner time as well with a choice of two meats , pasta and fish . The waiters did their work efficiently and with good humour , always smiling . The pool is rather deep for short people ( like me ) or non swimmers but there are plenty of sun beds . Yes the complex needs a makeover as it is one of the oldest in the area and the staff deserve this as they work so hard so Blue Sea get working on this !

We went to the hotel Belle Vue Aquarius for a last sunshine break, 7th to 13 November. We had been twice before, so know the hotel,. We asked for a high floor, as you get the best views views of the harbour, and brilliant sunets.. We won't be doing that again, as there is no lift and we had six flights of stairs to walk up &down every day. And we are now in our early 70,s. It was about 15 year ago we first stayed here, and apart from a lick of paint,the rooms are exactly the same. They are clean,and tidy, but need updating. We were self catering ,so can't comment on the meals in restaurant. I had a lovely chicken salad meal at the pool bar. If they were modernised, we would come back,as the hotel is in a nice position for the harbour and old town. It was warm for time of year 29 degrees, so spent a bit of time lounging by pool.

This is an honest review. The staff/waiters are top notch, very friendly and attentive. Lunch and dinner they were so friendly and ensuring you had your drinks The food was in our opinion more than adequate, it was a small but good selection. We had no issues at all at all meal times. The rooms are very dated. And to a point scruffy unclean looking. The pool would be closed down if in the uk for H&S as the tiles are all coming off and you would see the small blue tiles out on the floor around the pool. What the hotel details lack in informing people is that there are hundreds of steps all over, to get to the reception on arrival there are 60 steps. Once collected keys you will need to climb untold stairs to get to your extremely dated room. Unless you were lucky enough to be on the same level as reception. We were given room 614. I counted all the steps we had to climb. Each set of stairs were 20 steps approx. And this was doubled on each level. We had to climb up reception steps then 4 lots of double steps as well as carrying our cases. After we had recovered we went and requested a lower floor room, which we did get straight away, thank god. No lifts. So please, IF you do have walking difficulties please think before booking this complex. It is a 2 star in my opinion and the price we paid pp I thought it was expensive.
