“Fantastic holiday”

First time to Lanzarote for myself and my husband. We couldn't have chosen a better place. The staff are all really friendly and helpful and will go the extra mile to help if you have a problem. First time to Lanzarote for myself and my husband. We couldn't have chosen a better place. The staff are all really friendly and helpful and will go the extra mile to help if you have a problem. Lovely pleasant and clean apartments with everything we needed to hand. Great onsite supermarket with all the essentials and more. Short walk from shops, bars, restaurants and beach. Really quiet and relaxing complex. Been home 1 day and are booking again for next year. We would highly recommend.

“Enjoyable stay”

Basic but clean apartments spacious but in need of a bit of TLC we were in an apartment with balcony 144 .staff were friendly and helpful.they are cleaned twice a week if you need toilet paper bin bags or towels changing just go to reception and they will happily help you.the bar is open from 8.3... more

Basic but clean apartments spacious but in need of a bit of TLC we were in an apartment with balcony 144 .staff were friendly and helpful.they are cleaned twice a week if you need toilet paper bin bags or towels changing just go to reception and they will happily help you.the bar is open from 8.30 till midnight prices not to bad on par with the rest of the resort.pool is open 10 till 6pm.a taxi to puerto del Carmen is 6 euros.there is a shopping centre a ten minute walk away.but matagorda is a quiet resort.the hidden gem bar is a 5 minute walk away and do lovely meals it is only open until 6 pm and on Thursday they play bingo but you have to book.its a 5 minute walk to the sea front.there is a little noise from planes because its near the airport.but that didn't bother us.it is next to the beatriz player &spa hotel just turn left by there and you'll get to the bottom of the airport runway and watch all the planes coming in.there is a supermarket at the side of the apartments just walk up some steps near the swimming pool. but I don't think it is suitable for people with mobility problems there is a ramp but it's seemed a little steep.i would return but the resort was a little to quiet for us tipsy bar has quiz and bingo.The tui rep was helpful and there 5 times a week if I went again I would ask for a downstairs Apartment with a terrace. Where our apartment was there was a sun terrace and the pool was on the other side near the bar.i did have a relaxing holiday and would return

“Clean and friendly”

Complex kept clean staff friendly and helpful.Rooms big and clean but need upgraded , only one socket within kitchen/ dining / living area to use for kettle/ toaster/ microwave or charging phone etc.location is great and within easy walking distance to shops restaurants pubs.

Clean, close to shops & bars - well within walking distance. Also really close to the beautiful beach. Frankly, I would have appreciated a little more relaxation time and privacy on my patio where there was a table and three chairs. I think a sun lounger or two on the patio would have be a huge improvement. Unfortunately the beds (2 singles) were literally the most uncomfortable I have had the misfortune to sleep on, lumpy and very creaky. I dragged a bench from the dining area into the bedroom to pop my bits & bobs on for the duration as there was nowhere to keep stuff like hairbrush, make up, etc…and this was placed in front of a longish wall mirror. Equally there was very little space for anything in the bathroom. The bathroom was nicely tiled and clean , with fresh towels but only had a large overhead fixed shower head which I find baffling and inadequate - I would have appreciated a hand held supplement. For some reason the dining table and two benches were made out of heavy unfriendly metal with sharp corners. However the kitchen was adequately equipped and all the rooms were a decent size with the living room opening onto a patio with two large doors which was nice for relaxing in one’s temporary home with a laptop, books etc…and a loo, food and drink close by. The tv although smart wasn’t connected to the internet and consequently there was nothing in English available - this will matter more to some than others and didn’t really bother me. I can’t comment on the poolside cafe bar as I didn’t use it. I thought it was a shame that guests couldn’t take plastic glasses from the bar to their sunloungers round the pool, that would have been nice and little tables would have been a nice addition. The loungers were old & in need of either a good clean or replacement of their fabric. But the pools were clean and although cold the sun is reliable. The staff were very efficient and friendly, which was really appreciated - some of them could have been a little quieter and more discreet when carrying out their tasks in the day - but this wasn’t a huge problem just a little irritation. Overall a clean, although slightly tatty and worn, mediocre place which provided an affordable and pleasant, quiet base for a restorative holiday in a great location.
