We stayed for a week in December, our first holiday abroad as a family of four with a 5 year old and a baby, and what a great time we had! The hotel is in a perfect location, right next to a beautiful bay that is great for swimming and snorkelling, a short walk along the beautiful seafront takes you to Playa Blanca which is fantastic for shopping, and there is a really good supermarket close to the resort. The resort itself is stunning, beautifully kept gardens and immaculately clean - the photos really don’t do it justice. We really liked how it is structured as a holiday village, rather than a towering hotel. We went all inclusive and it was so worth it for the food, it was excellent and the staff were very helpful and welcoming each time we went to the restaurant, they really were doing an outstanding job! A meal at the Tavern was also included in our stay, and this was superb! Around the resort the staff were also friendly and helpful, everyone from the receptionists and cleaners, to the gardeners and the pool lifeguards were welcoming and accommodating. Speaking of swimming pools - wow! There are so many at this resort that you are spoilt for choice, each morning the staff were working hard to ensure the pools and surrounding areas were immaculately clean and although a little on the cool side, our children loved them, the foam party was a lovely touch to finish off a sunny afternoon. There is a great deal for children at this resort, and all age groups are catered for. The entertainment team are fabulous! We particularly enjoyed the singing from Dan, decades show and evening quizzes. Our standard room with terrace was larger than we were expecting and although a little dated, it has everything we needed. This would be the only piece of constructive criticism I can offer Tui: the rooms (especially the bathrooms) need updating. Apart from that, a perfect stay. Well done Tui Blue team!

Glad we didn't pay much for our holiday, otherwise this review would be far more scathing. Hotel is generally dated, and in serious need of renovation. Rooms are very basic with no nice touches whatsoever. I was somewhat perplexed by the alleged 'air-conditioning' so asked reception if they could maybe talk me through it - I was told that the minimum temperature setting was 22degrees centigrade for Eco-reasons, and that it would turn off automatically as soon as a door was opened. It wasn't exceptionally hot outside (peaking around 28C) so not a massive issue, but a bit uncomfortable - especially during the night. 22C is actually higher than I would set my heating back in the UK! The beds were a bit embarrassing - 2-inch mattress toppers on a divan base is a bit of a cop-out. Again, not unbearably uncomfortable, but come on guys, can't you provide a decent mattress instead? ...and the topper moved around, so you'd find it hanging over by about 4inches by the morning! Food was acceptable, as was all-inclusive drink and the choice of pools was welcome -but the overall feeling of tiredness and shabbiness did leave a bit of a nasty taste in the mouth! It could really also do with a nicer outdoor area for drinks in the evening - the only area seemed to be outside the restaurant, where everyone huddled under an overhead structure!
