After reading some reviews I was a bit hesitant about this hotel but it was brilliant and we had a great time. Stayed Royal Elite from 27th Dec until 3 Jan as a party of 2 couples. We had two Royal Elite Rooms with Sea View in Block B, Level 4. We got a bottle of fizz and a full minibar in the room on arrival. Water was replenished everyday. Ate in the Royal Elite restaurant and food was good, hot and lots of choice. We have stayed in many AI hotels and have often got bored with food choice but we didn’t at the Sandos. Booked the Mexican & Asian on arrival with reception, got the days and times we wanted. We also ate out one lunch time and had an evening meal at the Marina which was a 25 minute walk. We used the Royal Elite bar/terrace everyday, we found it a nice nice place to chill (inside or out) for a drink before getting ready for the evening and to meet up before going back out. Plenty of choice to help yourself. We sat in the Adult only area during the day and also on a terrace up from the bar near the heated pool, have to agree with other reviews about these not being cleaned regularly. Food, spilled drinks were there when we arrived and were still there when we left. Our room was cleaned everyday and bedding/towels changed regularly. You can change your pool towels at the spa as often as you want. Royal Elite can get branded drinks at the Pool Bar if you ask, ie branded bottles of beer instead of the beer on draft, spirits etc. We watched a couple of the shows at night which were just ok nothing outstanding. Lots of bars, areas to sit and a games area with pool tables, table tennis. No complaints about any staff and all were very polite and helpful. Few bars, restaurants and shops 5 minute walk away, we had a walk out a couple of times for a drink and to watch sport. Would recommend :)

“So disappointed ”

Went to this Hotel 3 years ago and really enjoyed it. So disappointed with our room this time. Bathroom dreadful, needs a definite refurb!!!!! Went to this Hotel 3 years ago and really enjoyed it. So disappointed with our room this time. Bathroom dreadful, needs a definite refurb!!!!! Hotel needs to close certain rooms off to be refurbished and quickly before they lose more guests. Spoke to a few people that said they wont be back. We were offered another room from the next day but when we checked it out the air-conditioning wasn't working 😕. Paid for Royal Elite too and probably the worst bathroom ever. The staff that did the rooms were excellent. Such a shame but we won't be returning.
