This was our second stay at Princess Yaiza and, as the title says, it gets harder to leave each time. Ignoring the obvious good points that many other reviews mention (great family rooms, comfy beds, delicious breakfast, only 30 mins from the airport and a lovely beach in front with crystal clear, calm waters (not part of the hotel, low season we paid €12 a day for two sun beds and a brolly), There’s also a lovely promenade leading to newly developed, quite smart, marina if you turn the left out of the hotel and a more rustic and charming part of town on the right out of the hotel. Both of which boast an array of great bars and restaurants should you wish to venture further afield at lunch/supper. The standout feature of the hotel though is how it caters seamlessly for all ages. We were one of the many families on an inter generational holiday and it was incredible how young and old alike found their place. From the smart, sophisticated bar at reception (often with accompanying pianist), many restaurant options and seemingly kid free zones offering a bit of respite for (long-suffering!) grandparents to the incredible kids club, mini disco, evening buffet (which handily opens at 6:30 and breakfast which opens at 7:30), two bed family apartments, array of different swimming pools. Honestly, this place is superb. I also have to mention the cleanliness of the entire hotel. We split a glass at dinner one evening and hastily ducked down to wipe it up. Usually you’d expect at least a speck of dirt from wiping a floor but our napkins were spotless, even after scrubbing the floor dry! (I hasten to add the staff were there immediately to help clean up but we had it in hand) I rather loathe to leave such a shining review out of fear more people discover it and it loses its charm but it’s honestly too good not to share. Our only bit of (hopefully helpful) feedback for management is to get nicer loo paper (it’s no Andrex right now!) and some washing up soap in the kitchenette. But, even if ignore that, we’d still love to come back and highly recommend you visit too. We also recommend going half board if you have any intention of dining in in the evenings as the buffet was around €75pp (excluding drinks) and we certainly didn’t eat enough to cover that!

I had booked a suite which was very spacious with a lovely balcony overlooking pool side.. the house keeping staff were very attentive and rooms beautifully kept each day and turn down service at night. I was half board but only ate in three times but food was lovely and plentiful, and good variety. Breakfast was buffet style and again there was plenty variety from freshly squeezed orange juice, to a variety of other juices and cereals, yogurts, fruits etc. Breads, crackers, cheeses, cooked bacon , sausage, eggs in every cooked style, hams, salads, cheeses, the list just goes on. Something I think to suit everyone’s palette. A special shout out to Jessica, Teresa, Oleg in Restaurante. Nothing too much bother for them and so attentive. I also had the pleasure of going to the Spa and had hot stones Massage and facial and again to be recommended..Yeni was super but Jennifer.. Lucero just great.. thanks to Elena and Javier on reception for being super helpful and so kind. In the main hotel reception another thank you to Thomas who assisted with his guidance on hotel processes and telephone numbers for me and also took time to help assist pickup of my luggage for transfer and return of car hire keys. A lovely gentleman. A thank you to Vanessa on management and the other lovely gentlemen that was on meet and greet on Restaurante door I unfortunately did not get his name .. but I’m told it is Hassan! All in all I had a lovely experience in a lovely hotel with staff who are a credit to them.. Look forward to a repeat visit. Mrs Maclennan

Extremely impressive resort. Super welcome on arrival and bags delivered to room. We booked B&B- excellent Buffet breakfast in Hacienda buffet area. Very clean with excellent housekeeping. Great location with easy access to Rubicon Marina and Playa Blanca. We favoured the Marina ( 15 minute seaside stroll) for dining in the evening- great selection of restaurants etc with atmosphere. Guest Services as this hotel went above and beyond to handle an issue we experienced - a special thanks to Gabriel who was the consummate professional and took action immediately. We ate at the evening buffet one evening- be aware it is 57 Euros per person- we did not particularly favour this experience, however, to be fair- I feel our experience was just a series of unfortunate events.......one of those things that happen. We thought it would be fun to try!! All in all, this hotel is top drawer- immaculate, calm, welcoming and really quite beautiful. We had a Seaview suite- balcony area great size and well-furnished. Suites are also well kitted-out and cleaned daily. Espresso Coffee pods renewed daily/water replenished daily.......excellent. In summary- we would return and feel the benefit of this 'higher-end' break. Thanks so much!

“Toddler Trip”
This was a faultless experience for a family holiday with a one and three year old, which I have already recommended to friends. We didn’t eat in any hotel restaurants except the Italian as they all serve too late for our little ones
