I cannot stop talking about Kamezi and the group joke is that we have peaked too early on our villa holidays with Kamezi that nothing else will now be good enough. The staff cannot do enough for you, the complimentary wine, bread, oils and sauna session, fresh breakfast delivered each morning which included gluten free treats, the high standard of the villa and the ease at which you can communicate with staff via their WhatsApp service, the multiple excursions to choose from or not, you can just chill in the villa which feels secure and private, we may as well have been the only people there it was great. They have a two room spa managed by two wonderful local ladies, the tapas in the caves is a must and they cater for coeliacs. Everything is to such a high standard we enjoyed every moment of our time here without breaking the bank. Kamezi will organise airport collection at a cost however I would recommend renting your own car, Lanzarote is easy to navigate if you are from Ireland or the UK as the roads are basically straight throughout the island it doesn't take long to get used to driving on the opposite side of the road and having the car means you can drive to the local supermarket to stock up on goodies, it will probably work out at the same price. (Mar 2024) I have already booked my return.

We booked a one bedroom sea view villa for a week for our honeymoon. The place was amazing from start to finish the villa was beautiful, it was cleaned daily. We booked direct and so breakfast was included. That was delivered each morning, freshly squeezed orange juice, bread which they make onsite, which is delicious, meat, cheese, croissants coffee and jam. We ordered lunch to the villa one day, an amazing burger and again delivered to the door. You can order everything through their app which is very useful, we even ordered off the pillow menu!!! We also requested a juicer so we could juice our own oranges which was lovely. We requested it and it was delivered within hours. We didn’t use the gym or the spa we did book the tasting menu at the restaurant which was lovely. The shop sells the essentials and the amazing bread, meats, croissants (the chocolate ones were delicious) The cocktails in the bar are also amazing and it’s a lovely view. The villas are easy to find from the airport we hired a car from the airport and it took about 25 mins to drive and you can park your car right outside the villa. You are a few minutes drive or short walk from Faro park where there are some restaurants and supermarkets. We walked to Playa Blanca along the promenade which was about 45 mins for dinner one night and we went to the marina a couple of times. Taxi’s are good but there can be queues and that is 7 euros from the villas. But ring from the number supplied by the villa and they will come and pick you up. We will without doubt be going back. We looked at the larger family villas to go back later in the year. Reception were very helpful with my numerous emails before arrival and when we there there. Amazing 5 star stay. There is nothing to fault it was simply perfect.

Kamezi has fast become our home away from home. Having stayed in September for our 10th wedding anniversary, we loved it so much we went again in January and took my husband’s parents with us. Even with the in-laws there, Kamezi remained a tranquil paradise for me to enjoy. I had private use of the gym every morning to burn off some energy (I’d recommend a punching bag be installed though ;)) and use of the spa on site. If you’re into spa treatments I recommend the Caress of Lanzarote. Don’t look at the price, I promise, it’s worth every penny- you come out so relaxed. even your mother in law can’t ruin your day! The resort has everything you need: private heated pools at every villa, a gym, a spa, a bar with the best views I’ve ever seen, a deli/shop on site and breakfast delivered every morning. There’s even room service from the restaurant if you don’t fancy cooking or the option for a chef to cook for you in the villa. We’ve stayed in the 3 bedroom sea lounge villa twice. It’s absolutely perfect, and the shower jets have ruined me forever- so much so, I’m having some put in my en-suite next month! Haha On top of all this, the girls in reception are the most wonderful group I’ve ever met. The resort is small enough for a personal touch, and this means the world to me.
