A Fantastic Stay with a Few Observations Our stay at the hotel was fantastic! The focus on environmental sustainability was impressive and much appreciated. The food in the restaurant was excellent, and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and involved. The restaurant was always clean, with staff efficiently clearing and relaying tables, which ensured a pleasant dining experience. Drinks at the bar were also top-notch and a highlight of our evenings. One concern, however, was the number of unsupervised children running around the restaurant. While this is ultimately the responsibility of the parents, it did pose some potential health and safety issues. However my son is 15 so next time we will all be in the prestige side. Overall, a wonderful experience, and we would highly recommend this hotel to others!

We travel every year for Christmas and this was high up there on relaxation ! Two adults no children so always look for Adults only hotels and not too many options so close to waterfront - I must admit I was a bit skeptical about hotel at start with size and scale hoping it would be quiet. The way it is built and laid out is genius I must say ! From the moment we booked online to emails with staff - absolutely excellent and so responsive. Checking in was a breeze and so relaxing ! We had booked star prestige over the adult side and so worth it - the pool area is huge and plenty of Sun loungers available - never an issue ! Snacks and drinks during the day - sandwiches / meats & cheeses / and amazing cakes that changed daily ! We didn’t have half board or all inclusive but with the location of the hotel a short ten minute scenic walk along the waterfront and you were in Playa Blanca and any number of restaurants! In Star prestige there is a seperate restaurant area to the main restaurant and this is where we had breakfast and wow just sitting looking out at the waterfront everyday was amazing. There is buffet breakfast ( with English bacon on offer ) but a smaller offering than next door but you can walk in and out of both but for Adults just means no children in the dining area ! A lot of people commented on aircon - it does work but not very powerful but we had it on and I had to request another blanket as I was cold and this was perfect as my husband loves the aircon on and I don’t but having the extra blanket helped ! The cleaning staff are so lovely - always a smile when meet them. There is a spa circuit included with star prestige - highly recommend for a chill out and I had the most amazing facial with Susana and the staff were so helpful as they had a salon item I commented on and they assisted me in purchasing ! Would absolutely return to this hotel and do plan on it next Christmas again as it was just so chilled and relaxing ! All staff are all so lovely friendly and nothing is an issue - Cheraf in prestige bar, all the reception staff , cleaners , waiting staff all lovely

Stayed in the Star Prestige part of the hotel on B&B package in Junior suite. Positives Staff were excellent. Housekeeping during the day did a great job. Hotel well maintained and clean. Service at Star Prestige pool bar great. Breakfast buffet very good. Bathroom area of the junior suite well laid out. Not so good Personally felt it was noisy. Our room was located by the cleaners store cupboard and the water/ice dispenser. Cleaners were congregating at 7.30am and understandably chatting but this meant we had a 7.30am wake up call everyday. Ice dispenser was continually making noise. Junior suite small compared to others we’ve stayed in (IHG group and others). Supposedly a sea view, but as the room was on the ground floor, you could just about see the sea if you were standing up. Sitting on the terrace it was 100% a pool view, which is something we always avoid, so it was particularly disappointing. Star prestige generally quiet compared to the other family pools in the hotel, however our room was very near the jacuzzi pool which when turned on (which was most of the day) was fairly noisy, particularly when guests were chatting over the bubbles! Turn down consisted of the corners of the bed folded down and a couple of chocolates on the bed. Not really worth the bother. No plumping pillows, clean glasses, folded towels etc (see photo). Entertainment at the Star Prestige pool bar each night until 10.30pm. Not too late, but this was not something we enjoyed. Indoor Star Prestige lounge small and not insulated from noise from the reception area. Whilst some of these issues seem pretty minor, they did add to the view that this was not a 5-star experience. Overall it was disappointing. The Junior suite was the equivalent in size of a King room in most IHG hotels. The Star prestige experience didn’t compare to previous equivalent levels in other hotels e.g Hyatt, Intercontinental etc. If you’re interested in having alcohol throughout the day, some entertainment and not necessarily interested in peace and quiet, then this experience would be fine, but we won’t be returning. Finishing our holidays not feeling rested and very disappointed.

Clean hotel and good service by the prestige pool team & nice rooms, quality food. Poor service from the reception team in particular, they gave incorrect information on check in which caused a problem for us on new year. We raised it but the staff on reception failed to respond or acknowledge the mistake. I’m disappointed as we have stayed before, and written glowing reviews, so for them to have so little care on this occasion is disappointing.
