“Fabulous hotel, staff and location”

Lovely rooms, great location. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was great, although could have been a bit warmer sometimes. Fantastic choice of food. Plenty of sunbeds and nice pools. Overall a great place to stay. Our cleaner was fabulous and so friendly. Our rooms smelled lovely and clean every day.

This is a wonderful hotel by any standard. Great location, close to the marina, shops, restaurants and the coastal path. The hotel has great facilities and is well-maintained. The staff are friendly and efficient, especially Mercedes in the Florida Buffet, whose knowledge of local wines is extensive. The quality of the food is outstanding.

“Gorgeous hotel but…..”

Myself and my partner stayed here for 5 nights at the beginning of march, we booked a garden view room, which was fantastic, really spacious with a separate sitting area, good storage and free safe. We was in room 162 on the ground floor which was perfect because we could step off the little terrace and onto some really comfy sun loungers just set back from the pool. The pool bar was good for cold drinks and was reasonably priced, straight out the back gate and was in the rubican marina so was in a perfect location for bars and restaurants. The reason I’m only giving 4 stars is because of the breakfast, great variety , but if you wanted hot food like sausages, bacon, beans etc it was barely lukewarm warm. So ended up just having toast and a fruit bowl. They do have evening entertainment, we only went once and it was fantastic two ladies singing all the Motown classics, would recommend. Overall had a great stay and would return but without the breakfast option.

The hotel is a beautiful building, location is the key selling point, perfectly situated on the marina with the opportunity to explore the large variety of excellent bars and restaurants. There are a number of pools with a lovely setting with the top two pools being heated, perfect for this time of year. Room was spacious with superb sea view. Cleaners, waitresses, pool staff were all so friendly. Our board was B&B, we ate once and never returned, sausage was full of gristle, beans and hash browns cold, toaster machine wasn’t working either, this wasn’t an issue as we ventured out instead for pastries, cake or coffee to one of the many beautiful places on the marina. We found the reception incredibly slow especially when the room key card doesn’t work, (most days!) having to walk back up to get it sorted, waiting about whilst others were checking in. The sun-beds were extremely uncomfortable and need replacing as a matter of urgency, you can feel the metal bars when led down which was unpleasant. Overall we would return but this is due to the superb location by the marina and gorgeous beaches.
