We stayed at the Timanfaya Palace for ten nights at the beginning of March. This was our third visit to the hotel and it certainly won't be our last! As usual, everything was perfect. We arrived on a Thursday, which is a very busy change-over day. We were welcomed by Jose the hotel manager, who recognised us from previous visits, and his deputy Jack. It was great to see both of them working alongside their staff to ensure that everything ran smoothly, clearing up glasses and plates from the welcome snacks and cava we were all given while waiting to check in. We had upgraded our room to a superior sea view by directly emailing the hotel and the room was worth every penny of the upgrade cost. Although it was a long walk from Reception to deliver our cases, we soon found short cuts to the restaurants and pool areas! The room looked over the sea and the coastal path towards the lighthouse with lovely sunsets each evening. It was quiet, maintained before lunchtime every day to a very high standard and had everything we needed for our ten night stay. The food in both the buffet and the a la carte restaurant was very well prepared and beautifully presented. There was so much choice and I find it difficult to understand why people say they are disappointed with what is on offer. The waiting staff soon got to know us and they were quick to serve our drinks to the table both at lunchtime and evening meal. The TUI animation team do a great job organising daytime activities and we joined in everything that was on offer - rifle shooting, archery, mini golf, corn throw to name a few! The evening entertainment is varied and we enjoyed most of what was on offer. So for an all inclusive ten days of holiday, with easy walks every morning, a coffee in Mike's bar to follow, no rush for sunbeds at any time in the day, excellent food and a wide range of drinks in the bars and with meals, I am not sure where we could find better than the Timanfaya Palace! The staff are without exception a credit to the hotel and its management - special thanks too to the staff we don't always see, for example working in the kitchen or maintaining the high standards around the hotel's grounds. One thing that stands out for me, is how well ALL of the staff get on with each other and how absolutely nothing is too much trouble for them. Until the next time, our best wishes to you all - you are appreciated.

My wife and I stayed at the Timanfaya Palace for 10 days in March 2025. We have visited this hotel several times previously and like it a lot. It is in a good location, right on the seafront with good walks in either direction. We visit a number of four star hotels each year, and this is among the best of them. The food is slightly better here than at other H 10 hotels we visit and the staff look after us very well. We felt that the restaurant service was particularly good this year and the food even better than on previous visits. Well done to our waitress Sandra who seemed to anticipate everything we wanted before we even knew ourselves! We stayed on half board and enjoyed a morning glass of Cava and a small shot before dinner each evening, both FOC. We paid extra for a room with a sea view and enjoyed it a lot. Our only criticism of the room would be that there were not a lot of drawers although the wardrobe was well equipped with shelves. The pool area is magnificent, very large and we could always get a sunbed, even though the hotel was almost full. The sunbeds are well spaced with plenty of room for moving around and plenty of umbrellas if you need one. My wife and I both enjoyed the daytime activities (Pilates, aqua aerobics, mini golf etc.) and the evening entertainment was better than we find at many other hotels, with UK based tribute acts on many of the evenings. We particularly enjoyed the Elvis tribute, the ABBA tribute and Gentlemen on the road who were most amusing. Well done to all of the staff who contributed to a most enjoyable break.

This hotel is perfectly located on the sea front. It’s our third time and we stayed for 11nights. In general the place if clean and serving staff very friendly. The reception staff however could be a little more approachable and smile more. The other staff are very good. First impressions count and one lady staying at the hotel down the road spoke to reception and said she would never stay based on their lack of interaction with her. Food I felt not as good as previous visits and not always as hot as it should be. We were all inclusive and they couldn’t do more to serve

Just spent a week in this hotel. The hotel is very clean, bedrooms nice size but beds are very firm, I believe if you pay extra for ‘privilege’ you get a mattress topper. We had a few issues with no hot water in the shower, we asked a few times to get it fixed, unfortunately it works for a minute and then stopped working again. The staff on reception weren’t very helpful, they were very disinterested, we asked to see the duty manager but were told that he wasn’t available for three days. By then we would’ve gone home. So didn’t get a warm shower till the 3rd day. If you want to use the safe in your room you have to pay €17!! The safes are in your room but you have to pay to keep your valuables safe, very disappointing for a supposedly four star hotel. On arrival you get issued a beach towel if you want to get it changed you have to pay €1, each time you want it changed! Again on arrival you get a tiny bottle of water in your room. This is not replaced so make sure you bring a refillable water bottle to fill up in the restaurant or bar. It would be good if they had some water stations dotted around the hotel as you have to rely on the hotel staff to fill it up in the bar. The staff are very friendly, drinks are all branded with a very good selection. The canteen/restaurant food was good. There was a little quiz or bingo every night with a hours guest singer. Some nights good, some nights awful. The other option was to sit in the piano bar. I found the sitting very regimented. The pool area and sun beds are very good. Lots available and spread out so you’re not sitting on top of each other. Good location too, lovely coastal path for lovely walks. Would I recommend this hotel? I personally don’t think it’s worth the money we spent and question it being 4 star compared to other hotels we stayed in. We travelled with friends and they felt the same.
