A really lovely hotel. Staff were outstanding and all very friendly, clean, well kept (and beautifully decorated for Christmas), evening shows were of good quality (singers / music for just over an hour each night), pools and bars very good and food overall was some of the best we’ve had at any all inclusive hotel. Recommended for couples or families as, although I don’t take the children, there are lots of children’s facilities too.

“Perfect Location for a Hotel”

I have been in travel many years and stayed at some fantastic Hotels in my time, my domestic flight from Gatwick to Guernsey was unfortunately cancelled due to storm Darrah, the option was to spend 3 nights in cold Gatwick Airport or spend a couple of extra nights in Lanzarote. We had been staying in an Air B and B and decided to book a hotel down in Playa Blanca, I knew straight away where we would want to stay and it was Dreams at Playa Dorada Beach, it is is the perfect location, not far from the beach and right on the promenade to go to either the Rubicon Marina or go to the main strip of restaurants and bars. I made the booking via Expedia and we were booked as a preferred ocean view room which I was excited about, we arrived around 1200 and the check in time is 1500, there was absolutely no hesitation for us to be able to check in straight away, we were offered a glass of champagne and cold face cloth whilst we were being checked in. We were allocated room 2133 which overlooked the pool and Rubicon Marina, the room was lovely and spacious and you could see that a lot of the furnishings had been updated since it was the Hesperia Hotel. We were very impressed with our room , the bed was large and comfortable, lovely pillows, massive big 75 inch TV on the wall, bathrobes and slippers, mini bar kept topped up with soft drinks and water and beers, free of charge because we were in a preferred club room, we also had access to the preferred club lounge which served a continental breakfast, there was also a separate room for breakfast for preferred club rooms. I am not quite sure re the preferred rooms as it seemed to me that is all I could see but obviously there were lower graded rooms as well. What I would say is that where we gained with lovely rooms and reception areas etc it was slightly jaded and tired around some of bars outside and certain areas, this would not deter me from staying again, it may not be the five star standards that I am used to but the location and the room and the staff is enough to make us want to go and stay again the next time we are in Lanzarote. I cannot comment on the food in the restaurants as we ate in the preferred club lounge both days we were there and it was absolutely fine.

I have stayed at Dreams a few times, and at the Hesperia, before that. I have just returned from a splendid solo holiday at Dreams, and happy to say I found it to be as lovely as ever. My room (1250) was wonderful, very modern with a great view of the Barracuda pool, the sea, and the islands beyond. I love the new toiletries, they smell lovely and are now in much bigger bottles and replenished as needed. The towels in the bathroom are changed as often as you like, likewise with the bedding (just leave the little card on your pillow if you'd like a change of sheets). I have always enjoyed the food at Dreams, especially the breakfasts. Those expecting Michelin star meals are going with totally unrealistic expectations; it's an all-inclusive hotel catering for a variety of nationalities. I have always been able to find plenty of food to enjoy in the buffet, and the à la carte restaurants are very good, with no limit on the number of visits for all-inclusive guests. The cocktails are great, and made from scratch, not pre-mixed. All the pool areas are lovely, and I've never experienced any sunbed wars. It's rare to find a genuinely warm pool in Lanzarote, and the pools are Dreams really are a good temperature. The Bali beds can be booked by anyone; go and speak with Guest Experience. All the staff were great, so friendly and conscientious. The Guest Experience staff are truly outstanding, what a great team! Location-wise, Dreams can't really be beaten; right above Dorada beach, and easy walking distance to both the town and the marina. There is a little HiperDino supermarket outside the hotel, as well as bus stops for the local, very cheap, number 30 bus. I'm already looking forward to my 2025 stay at Dreams.

“Lanzarote, Playa Blanca, playa doroda”

Overall very good hotel, clean and tidy. Staff are friendly. Beautiful location. Food choices are limited given the rating of the hotel. If you are not all inclusive then water is really expensive, charges 4 Euros for 500ml of water bottle.
