“Great relaxing break”

Had 10 nights at the ficus great food &drinks lovely pool &never had a problem with getting sunbeds .10minute walk to the beach with plenty of good places to eat &drink,would definitely return as weather is also a plus,27 to 35degrees with occasional breeze

Did get a sense they had been told to greet guests more, not always sincere. Cleaners were polite and quite thorough. Food was quite basic but we found plenty to eat. It is a small hotel compared to some all inclusive places we’ve stayed at, so assume that affects the quantity and selection. There was always fresh fruit available. I was very sick on the first night so was a bit wary of the food after that but didn’t have a recurrence. Drinks were adequate, we drink a lot of water-so filled up from water dispenser in the restaurant. Alcohol was not usual strength, beer was fine. Plastic beakers not the best for an adult only hotel but glasses were available. Pool was clean, and quite warm. Enjoyed it on the hot days. The sun beds do get bagged early. Music quite loud and repeated frequently but no atmosphere around pool without it. Cleanliness - room was clean at the start, bedding was fresh. Restaurant was kept very clean to the extent I often smelt bleach. Rooms were big as previously apartments with fridge and microwave etc. Free safe and kettle. British channels on tv. Entertainment - the staff tried hard but the facilities available are in need of updating, crazy golf, pool table , entertainment room all very tired looking. Karaoke and bingo not really our thing so we mostly had a few drinks then retired to the room with tv. Our balcony overlooked the restaurant and entertainment bar so was a bit loud at night. Did walk down to town of an evening too. Location was fine, away from the pubs/cafes but close enough to walk to the beach. We enjoyed 2 days on the beach. As we had a late pick up of 5.30pm we were allowed to use a room to change in and keep the wrist bands to access food and drink which was good. Bad points - being 3 floors up stone staircase with no lift. We were ok but those with limited mobility and fitness would struggle especially Rooms were only cleaned Mon to Wed then just towels changed once more before we left Sunday. Towels were very small and a bit threadbare. Drain smell in bathroom quite strong at times. The only other comment would be the ‘them and us’ feel that is caused by the premium apartments being fenced off from the main hotel and then the fact the facilities are shared by both. Some from the premium side made it known they didn’t like having to eat in the main part and that they expected more. When we were there the reception was being moved to allow for more restaurant seating. A slight inconvenience but should improve the overcrowding at peak meal time. In all, we got what we paid for, a cheap last minute week in the sun, a comfy bed, plentiful food and drink albeit basic. A quiet all inclusive 3 star hotel trying to improve itself.
