I wasn’t expecting much after I read the reviews but this hotel is a little gem. Firstly, the whole place is spotlessly clean and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The bedrooms are a little bit dated but the bathrooms have been renovated to a good standard. There were three of us staying in the room (a couple with a teenage daughter) so it felt a little more bijou, but it had all the amenities, great air con, mini fridge, hairdryer and plenty of storage for clothes. The rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels, which was a lovely, usually only every few days. We booked a room with a balcony that overlooked the pool, the balcony was a decent size but they could do with updating the furniture, but it’s more than adequate. We booked half board and food was good, especially the breakfasts, they were varied and catered for everyone, with plenty of choice. We only ate evening meal a couple of times and there was a good choice, a few random dishes but always plenty of options, as they try and cater for all nationalities. The pool area and bar were the highlight for me. Plenty of sun beds, music playing and the staff were lovely especially Pedro and Jesus. All the staff were great to be fair! The bar and food prices were cheaper in comparison to local offers and you definitely got good value for money. We even enjoyed the free mini golf a couple of times. For €10 per towel you could use hotel pool towels, they could be changed for fresh ones at any time and you got your money back when you gave them back in. I thought this was a great touch. The location of the hotel is great, a short walk in either direction to see the sunset or walk along the strip for bars, restaurants and nightlife and it’s close to the bus station (I’d recommend a trip to the old town). Theres a lot going on in and around the area, but it was relatively quiet in the hotel, which was nice after a busy day/night out and about. We had no problems with security as others have mentioned but we weren’t blasting music. I would definitely go back to this hotel again and wouldn’t hesitate recommending it to others. It is a bit dated, but the cleanliness, service and location definitely outweigh the aesthetics.
