We stayed at Fergus for 7 nights middle of October '24 and we were worried about what we were turning up to from some of the reviews we had read beforehand. We were very pleasantly surprised - everything was spot on, the hotel itself was gorgeous and nothing like some of the horror reviews have made out on here. The hotel is 10 minutes transfer from the airport we were first to be dropped off and last to be picked up going home and that was amazing, and if anything we loved seeing the planes flying overhead during the day. Lovely pool area, music playing throughout the day which creates a good atmosphere, plenty of sunbeds and our room was on the ground floor poolside, which made it handy to nip to and from our room during the day. Room cleaned every day and left smelling lovely with fresh towels - little note the room could definitely do with refreshing and sorting small problems ie paint peeling, damaged headboard, damp patches on walls - but nothing you can't put up with for a week on your holidays - if like us you are hardly in there anyway. Hotel is at the end of the main road through Playa Den Bossa, we went to all of the smaller beach clubs next to us (Nassau, Tanit, Beach House) and all were superb with lovely, friendly staff. The hotel is right on the beach, a gate at the bottom of the hotel leads out to it you use your room key card to access this - great idea. 15 minute taxi ride away from Ibiza old town which is definitely worth a visit, it cost us 20 euros in an Uber - or we heard there is a bus for a lot cheaper but it takes around half an hour. Food was brill, fresh and different options each day. We thought that the evening meal time could have been earlier as the main restaurant didn't open until 7pm, other than that - great. We loved our stay here. The hotel was a mixture of families, couples and groups of people - and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves and having a fab time. Your holiday is what you make of it, and in our opinion there is no reason why this hotel would make your holiday a bad experience.

“Nice and bright room”

Nice and clean room. The only thing I didn't like were the mattresses. I could feel springs in them. A lof of choice when it comes to food. Food was nice and fresh. Nice and friendly staff. Use of Swimming pool was limited to 6pm which was weird to me. Music at the swimming poll till 6pm only

How can one person have "the worst experience of their life" while another have "the best experience of their life"? It probably has something to do with the person writing the review and how they handle each experience. I am a 56 year old and just returned from a 1 week holiday at the Fergus Style Bahamas with my wife and 10 year old daughter. We scanned TripAdvisor prior to booking as we normally do and we came across a variety of reviews from one extreme to the other. So here's review of what we observed during our week at Fergus Style Bahamas. First of all we paid £1700 for an all- inclusive holiday for the 3 of us. This was for a basic 2nd floor garden/road facing room with a balcony. Our daughter slept on the sofa bed and our double was made up of 2 singles pushed together. The room was clean, even under the beds (I dropped my earphones and had to move them, not a serial dirt checker) as was the bathroom and balcony. Now the toilet flush was quite stiff and there was a small amount of grout missing in the shower (which is above a bath) as well as a few black spots on the silicone around the bath. Now if that's the kind of stuff that causes you to have the "worst holiday of your life" ..... then maybe holidaying is not for you. For that money we paid the Fergus Style Bahamas was great value for money. Some people expect to pay £1700 and stay in a suite at the Hilton. Our room was cleaned really well every day and clean towels were supplied even if we had hung our current ones up to dry so we could use them again. The majority of the staff were happy and accommodating especially to those who, in return, treated with respect while they worked hard to do their jobs. Every morning the sunbeds, tables, floors, stairs, corridors were all thoroughly cleaned which continued through the day. There were waste bins around as well as stations to leave your plastic poolside glasses. These areas were always cleared and the floors washed several times a day. There were not that many families in the hotel as it's not really geared up for families even though it has a kiddies club. There were possibly 10 families with a child/children of 7-10 year olds, maybe another 10 with babies or very small children and then about 5 or 6 teenagers. The Fergus is in Playa D'En Bossa which is a lively area tailored mainly for clubbers, especially as it has the Hi Ibiza the winner of the world’s best nightclub 2022, 23, 24. Given that, there will be some younger groups of partygoers that on occasions can't handle their drink so may get a little loud around the pool or occasionally in the early hours when they return from the nightclubs. This is more about those particular people and not the fault of the Fergus as they have no control over the behavior of the small minority. I would suggest every hotel in the area has the odd idiot or two. There is a speaker near the pool which plays mainly club music which the majority of people seem to enjoy. If you sit 'on top' of the speaker, it will probably be too loud for you so then you can write a scathing complaint on TripAdvisor. However, the further away you go from the speaker, surprisingly the music gets quieter. The Pool Bar opens at 10am as does the pool and they both close at 6pm. The pool is always manned by 2 lifeguards who are fun but professional. Ther is a daytime activity programme including boules, table tennis, bingo, cocktail making….and Beer Pong. If you are offended by any of the above then don't waste your time going to Playa D'En Bossa or San Antonio..... and it will probably save you keyboard warriors the trouble of writing an unrealistic review or even having a heart attack. The restaurant has plenty of capacity and the staff are super efficient at clearing your used plates and re-setting tables. The food was fresh, well presented and replenished continuously. To be totally honest so as not to appear bias in any way, the food that was in the serving hotplates was only warm on occasions…..and we were first in the dining room frequently. Perhaps the hotel needs to look at their food heating elements. I would imagine it's quite a challenge between keeping the food hot, or making it overcook or even someone burn themselves on an over hot serving tray. There is a beach bar along with Balinese beds and yoga lessons on the beach. All of these are NOT included in your all include package. There are many individual staff members that I could mention, but it wouldn’t be fare if I missed someone out (Okay, got to mention the infamous Gloria around the bar areas. Great with adults and children alike). Well done Fergus……on value for money, we would return.

Not so good: When we checked into the room that balcony door wouldn’t lock but this was fixed Wardrobes door is broken which was reported to reception and not yet fixed Bathroom door broken and reported but not fixed Leak from upstairs in bathroom, not fixed yet. No kettle in the room (very surprising for a four star?!) Two towels in the room for four people? We are trying our best to see the good as we have been saving for this holiday as our only one as a family but it’s difficult to not be disappointed. Hopefully things improve over the next few days.
