Amazing stay cleaned daily the balconies with sun beds were a huge success we had 3 apartments pool side we stayed as a family of 12 the shop was great the bar and food was lovely The walk down was fine but coming up each evening was very difficult with the steps but a cab for 5 euros is a deffo The town was lovely with many restaurants and coctail bars not forgetting McDonald's for the grandchildren We enjoyed a boat trip and saw dolphins a must if your going out for the day The apartments were huge with everything needed to cook but we never did A tele and sofa in the living area but we lived outside everyday Would like to thank all the team within Marbello for an amazing time especially the water in the fridge on our arrival and the man on reception for giving me milk for a coffee The lifeguard was on watch throughout the days and a great guy We will be returning

I stayed here for a week on my first ever solo holiday and it was just perfect for me! I paid for a sea view room and the views did not disappoint. Even at night, all the other hotels were lit up, it was beautiful. The balcony is a great size and havin my own loungers was perfect considering I was on my own. So I could sunbathe with my music on and pop into my fridge and make my own drinks and get snacks. The supermarket at the hotel is very reasonably priced so I stocked up on my fave food and drinks. Food down at the pool was good and the staff were lovely. The surrounding area has plenty places to eat and your not far from the beach. You need to try the ice cream parlours near the beach!! I slept like a baby every night, apart from the odd drunk person shouting at daft o'clock but it is a holiday! I am planning on returning here next May. That's how happy I was.

“not our cup of tea”

got ground floor room and did not enjoy this place at all sorry, cleaning not a very high standard, footpath right outside our room, no air con or safe in our room, have stayed in other places in PR a few times and I am sorry Montebello is not for us.

Decent location but definitely for people who have a bit of stamina as very steep steps to get to (or taxi). Very small car park and pretty much nowhere to park. Room very dated and need a bit of TLC, but comfy beds and decent bathroom. Room relatively clean until you look closely. Then dust and dead flies. They are not cleaned every day. One of the cleaner knocked off my face oil bottle. Then she filled it with water. Unbelievable! Hotel snack bar near the pool serves filter coffee only. Restaurant is closed. I knew it wasn't the most modern one. But far from (as other reviews suggest) spotless clean.
