For a studio apartment the room is really spacious with a decent bathroom and a good balcony offering lovely views over Puerto Rico and the sea. Rooms very clean and well looked after by the staff. You get a list of days room will be cleaned and towels changed so make sure to read this. Air con is just OK for me - I didn't think it was working at 100% but guy on reception dealt with my issue without any fuss. Staff everywhere are friendly and good at their jobs. Beds are two singles pushed together (as often they are). Room is well equipped if you want to cook for yourself and shower was lovely. We were on floor 3 just below pool level. No issues with noise and steps up right outside our room. Pool area is big enough and has great views. We had breakfast there on one day which Ibfelt was overpriced compared to the town for what you get but it saves you a walk/taxi. Happy hour from 12-1 with 2 for 1 drinks is a great touch and very popular. You arr high up but not as high as some. Walk down to commercial centre and/or beach is not particularly daunting and there a number of different routes. We found the best to be left around one bend of the road then down two sets of steps and you are at the back of the PR shopping centre. You can ise the lft in the montebello across the road (actually split lifts, first down to pool level on floor 5 and then 2nd around the corner takes you down a bit of the way but still a bit to go. You can also just follow the road down the bus station or turn right after first set of steps and get to station as well which is a quicker way to the beach. Taxis are plentiful and cheap - takes about 3 mins to taxi from centre to hotel for between 3.85 and 5 depending on time of day/night and whether you tip. For fitness enthisiasts the steps and winding roads are great. You can also run/walk out to playa des amadoes from PR harbour along a very pleasant coastal walk.

We have just returned home from this hotel and have had a great holiday. The Hartaguna is in an excellent location getting full sun from sunrise until 5 - 6pm. We have just returned home from this hotel and have had a great holiday. The Hartaguna is in an excellent location getting full sun from sunrise until 5 - 6pm. It was noted that hotels across on the opposite side of the valley were in the shade until the afternoon. We had a lovely room, deluxe with balcony and a beautiful seaview. A great tip is to use the lift in the Monte Bello hotel to go down 9 floors to bring you to a very short walk into town. We found that our door pass worked on the security gate and we could use the same lift back up although taxis are only 4 euros and in plentiful supply. The pool area is lovely, with stunning views....the only niggle was the usual culprits reserving the best located sunbeds a d then not using them until the afternoon. Others followed suit which is very selfish and spoiled it for others. The pool rules clearly state no reserving sunbeds but the staff seemed reluctant to do anything about it. Pool towels provided, hairdryer in the room, washing up liquid and scourer plus teatowels provided. Lovely stay, would go again.

very nice hotel, very modern, rooms are spacious and well maintained. We had room with outside hot tub on the balcony. very nice hotel, very modern, rooms are spacious and well maintained. We had room with outside hot tub on the balcony. Pool Bar was good, got busy around happy hour surprise surprise!!! staff are ok, could do with being more friendly and smile more. It is located at the top of the cliff area, so be prepared to walk down/Up steps!!! or get a taxi. One issue was the cleanliness of the rooms, I had to ask twice during the week for the rooms to be cleaned as was missed on both occasions and always after the non serviced days they have. Overall a decent place to stay.
