This is our second visit to the Porlamar Apartments, as before our visit was excellent. Timo and Nadia are excellent hosts who run a very clean, efficient and welcoming holiday complex. We had a minor problem, no kettle in our apartment upon arrival. Within seconds of informing Nadia the problem was resolved and a new kettle produced. This is a very relaxing and friendly establishment where you can chill and enjoy the beautiful weather. The Apartments are very comfortable and suitable for all your self catering needs. The water for your shower is always hot and on plenty of supply..... The maids are like Timo and Nadia, nothing is too much trouble for the clients. The place is spotless and a credit to these two hard working individuals. We will undoubtedly stay again in this wonderful location and look forward to our next visit.

“Very reasonable price for clean basic accommodation”

The price of the accommodation is extremely reasonable. The accommodation is basic, clean and perfect for what we needed. If you want a luxury holiday this accommodation is not for you. The price of the accommodation is extremely reasonable. The accommodation is basic, clean and perfect for what we needed. If you want a luxury holiday this accommodation is not for you. The balcony was very large with a table, chairs, sun beds and a clothes airer. The accommodation is non smoking but unfortunately the people in the apartment next to us smoked on their balcony which meant we were not able to use our balcony as much as we would have liked. The fridge was very big and had a freezer compartment. The kitchen has a toaster, kettle, a coffee maker and a small stove. The pool is a nice size, clean but unfortunately people put their towels on the beds very early in the morning. There would be enough beds for everyone if people didn't reserve them. The couple at the bar work very hard. The drinks were a reasonable price and you could eat by the pool as well although we didn't. There are some wonderful restaurants very close to the apartments and also a very good supermarket. We stayed for 5 nights and had a lovely time

Last day here today and what a lovely holiday we have had. Booked last minute due to another holiday falling through. The appartments are spacious and clean. Good size lounge area with tv. We did try the tv once but it didnt work but this isnt an issue for us as we dont really watch much tv when away. Small kitchenette area with toaster, microwave, coffee machine, fridge/freezer and 2 hobs. Not really big enough to cook a meal but handy to make snacks. Kitchenette equiped with necessary equipment. 2 single beds which we pushed together. Mattress was too firm for our liking but this is a personal preference. Shower was ok, spacious and quite powerful but the temperature did alter alot and was difficult to get it at the right temp. Could do with a shelf in the shower to put your toiletries on instead of having them on the floor. No air con in room but can hire a fan for €10 a week which i recommend doing. We are glad we did. Balcony large with 2 sun loungers, a table and 2 chairs. Sun all day on our balcony and amazing view of the harbour. Could have done with cushions on the loungers. Pool area was immaculate..always clean. Pool on the small side but there was never more than a few in there at a time. Sunbeds not always available but plenty of tables and chairs to sit at aswell so always had some sort of seat. Pool bar sold a range of drinks and food. We only tried the pizza but that was absolutely lovely. I had a few cocktails and he definitely wasn't shy in putting plenty of alcohol in them. Thumbs up from me 😆 They shut at 6pm so could do with staying open a bit later so we could have drinks before going out for the night. Little shop by reception for necessities. All the staff are friendly, helpful and work hard. The maids come to clean every other day and do a good job. And they are honest. The one day we went out so left some change for a tip for them. But we didnt have anything to write on to say it was for them. When we came back the room had been cleaned and the money was still there. Hotel is situated in an ideal place with a small centre just below. About 20 steps down and a slope. Easy to walk down, not so easy to walk back up especially in the heat but compared to where some of the other hotels are situated it was a breeze. Several places to eat there, an irish bar and a supermarket. Just a short stroll down to the harbour and beach. A 15 minute walk will take you to.the commercial centre where there is an abudance of shops restaurants and bars. If you dont fancy the walk then a taxi is only €5. Europa centre is not walkable unless you like walking up a mountain in 30° heat but again a taxi will set you back between 8 and 10 euros. In a nutshell its a lovely hotel for a 2* A few little tweaks and it could definitely be a 3* We would most definitely stay here again. Thanks for a lovely holiday.

“A Gran week out”

Stayed here for 7 nights. A lovely location at the end of a cul de sac. Had a sea view and pool was only up one flight of stairs. Great big terrace/balcony with both table and chairs and sunbeds. Apartment was bright and looked newly painted. The issues were that there was only one plug in the whole apartment, which makes self catering very difficult and with no plug in the bedroom, there was nowhere to plug in a fan as there is no Aircon. We didn't even have a window in our bedroom, so it was very stuffy. Back to the positives, staff are brilliant, the place is spotless, food is excellent. For late arrivals, which we were, it would be nice to have a bottle of water and milk in the room.
