Last day at Eden Apartments. Honest and balanced review Nice selection of food but some food cold, not regularly replenished and plates usually cold Canteen style restaurant, very small for the size of the hotel and only.a handful of tables for more than 2 people (and these were mostly occupied by 2 people) so often groups of 3,4 and 5 had to squeeze on a table for 2, think thats the clientele the hotel attracts Staff worked really hard but usually only 2 waiting staff on so you had to often clear and clean the tables yourself prior to eating Plenty of sunbeds, always found 4 together irrelevant of time of day Acts - some good (Divas were excellent), others quite poor Had a swim up room which was really nice. All rooms are big and very clean AI cocktails were non existent, 3 available and all made up with sugar and tasted awful. We had to pay 5 euros for a Regular cocktail Bar service very quick, no long queues Saw manager being tipped so he looked after a large party and reserved them tables Free shuttle bus to beach which is definitely worth a visit - its a gorgeous beach with lots of shops We visited the day spa at the beach, 60/70 euros for 2 including a bottle of wine and well worth it, very luxurious and got you away fro sunbeams packed like sardines TUi transfer stopped at 8 stops before us, letting off only 1 or 2 passengers so it took over 90 mins to get to the hotel, its a rollercoaster of a ride so if you don't like heights bring a blindfold. We did enjoy our stay but would not go back, think it was overpriced based on the quality

Okay, first impressions, not great. No air conditioning and cockroach just inside the apartment door and in the wardrobe. You can hire air conditioning units from 15 euros a day. Have to pay for a key for the safety deposit box in the room. Deposit refundable. We had a swim up room but our patio area did not get any sun until about 5pm so we spent our time by the main pool. No pool towels supplied. I think you may be able to hire some but we bought them from Europa centre about 5 mins away. To get there leave apartments, turn left and just next to the hotel there us a path on the left. Worth going there, pubs, live music, shops etc. Pool was chilly but could manage to get in. Food was ok. Excellent breakfasts. Entertainment was ok. Passanar was hard working and very funny. While we were there the entertainment programme ran daily. The hotel has apparently been purchased by new owners who are cutting the entertainment to 5 days a week. I guess it's one way of cutting down on all inclusive drinks as guests will have to go out for entertainment. Bar staff, restaurant staff, reception and manager were all very nice. Our room was cleaned and towels changed only 5 out of 7 days, not what we are used to. Would we go there again? No! It was okay for a week in the sun but 2 or 3 star at best. The weather was great though!
