“Disappointed Xmas food and buffet”

My friend and I stayed at Eden Apartments in Puerto Rico, Gran Canaria. Firstly, upon our arrival, we were waiting for more than 40 minutes just to checkin. There were 2 families in front of us so what a long wait, when 2 people at the desk would have made the whole process quicker. Secondly, our whole purpose for the trip was to be away for Xmas and what a disappointing vegetarian Xmas meal. We were HB and were asked to book a table for Christmas eve but there was not a vege food choice available. The manager said he had something but on the day, I was shocked to be given mock ??meatballs with mashed potatoes. Due to lack of places to sit, we shared our table with a couple from Dublin. He tasted our mock meatballs and told us they were definitely not vegetarian. We did not eat any food for Xmas. The next day the buffet food had only pizza, salad and chips which is what we had on the other nights. So, if going HB or fully inclusive at this place, know that there is very limited food options for vegetarians. On the plus side, the Apartments are decent size, has a good kitchenette, pool looks inviting but the water was freezing cold and not heated as suggested. The location to the Puerto beach and Amadores beach is 45 minutes walk down as Eden is right at the top. Europa Centre is on the doorstep so a quick bite to eat around there is possible. Weather wise it was very warm when the sun was not playing hide and seek.

Just returned from a week at the Eden been visiting this hotel for over 20 years and sorry to say will not return .Staff are amazing Chira Mitch Miguel Kim so pleasant and helpful Andrea on reception also very pleasant on the other hand Nicoleta I'm sure her name is most ignorant member of staff I have her met throughout the years very aggressive attitude towards guests .Maid service has really went downhill not as clean and thorough as in previous years .Went AIl Inclusive wish I hadn't food was awful either overcooked or undercooked choice very limited also was cold . Mostly Scandinavians god you would find it hard to believe they were on holiday so miserable looking and very rude . Entertainment rubbish and nothing for kids to do .Big shout out to Becky this girl is amazing Eden would be nothing without her . Unfortunately I will not be back after spending many amazing visits here .A great Hotel that has changed in so many ways and not for the better .

“Clean apartments”

Lovely apartment, swim up pool ideal. Really good food and the all inclusive drinks are OK, but only 3 cocktails available. The entertainment is a bit rubbish but the dj does try his best. Lovely apartment, swim up pool ideal. Really good food and the all inclusive drinks are OK, but only 3 cocktails available. The entertainment is a bit rubbish but the dj does try his best. Karaoke only for half an hour, and the bar shuts at 11. A lot of Dutch, German and Swedish guests go , never seen such a miserable bunch of people on holiday. Michael the older bar tender was very rude , almost to the point of slamming drinks down on the bar. Supermarket on site which is open until 10pm which is very handy. Would I go again to the Eden apartments, I would not .

“Honest review”

On arrival all windows were open, spent the next 2 days trying to get rid of small insects. Kitchen was fully equipped with cups,plates, cutlery etc but no air conditioning. On arrival all windows were open, spent the next 2 days trying to get rid of small insects. Kitchen was fully equipped with cups,plates, cutlery etc but no air conditioning. The front door frame wasn't in great condition and looked like it was just hanging on (Room 25). Never stayed in a hotel with no phone in the room and where reception shuts 10pm-9am!! Furniture on balcony was a fantastic idea, unfortunately table and chairs were dirty,and lots of flies around. Food repetitive and not always hot, not replenished quickly either, very small area for eating meals. Solarium was a godsend, with tables by the beds and spaced out, just dont look at the handrail going up the steps, could def do with replacing!! Sunbeds around the pool area are placed right next to eachother, no space to move. Shuttle bus to Amadores Beach was great and beach is beautiful. Not too sure I'd give it a 3*, but was a pleasant week in the sun, but wouldn't return.
