“Good Hotel, but could be brilliant!”

So, my husband and I are here currently on day 5 of ten. When we arrived shortly before 8pm we were greeted by a lovely receptionist who went through everything with us. When we got to our room (109) we were impressed with the size and the cleanliness was spot on. We were lucky getting that room as it has side view of the sea and gets the sun on thr terrace literally all day. The views are simply amazing from this room and also for the adult only solarium, which is where we have spent most of our time. We went for some food and then headed out for a few drinks. The following day we headed out to the pool area, which again is an impressive size and immaculately clean. So far so good. Then comes the buffett restaurant....although the food is plentiful and you have a great choice, due to the location of the restaurant being close to the pool and in the open the food is barely luke warm and there are lots of flies around. This is what has made our score a 4/5. Would we return? Yes, but only on a self catering basis due to the food situation.

We were not sure what to expect from the Eden apartments as got it at a great price, but I can honestly say we had a great time, the food is amazing, have stayed in 5 star hotels and the food is of the same standard, the hotel and hotel grounds are very clean and a good standard, soft drinks a bit sweet, and you do have to pay a fee for the very good cocktails but they were worth it, my only gripe about the apartment is no aircon we did struggle some nights, the pool area has plenty of sun beds never struggled to get beds and hotel was full, the area is quiet but shops and bars are on the door step, the question is would we return, yes we would

This year was disappointing compared to my previous year here. The hotel allows speakers to be played by guests rather loudly, a couple were playing explicit music which was not safe for children ears despite being advertised as a family hotel and when we asked the hotel and tui multiple times if it could be put away, the reception told us no and so did Tui. However we were clearly lied to as eventually after 3 hours a member of staff asked them to turn it off. This happened on numerous occasions with many family’s going to the beach instead or going inside so their children would not hear this music. In addition most of the pool was used for ball games between families, people using massively inflatables and diving in the pool despite the rule sign behind them at the pool. The lifeguard did nothing to stop these being used and made it so we were unable to enjoy our time in the pool often getting soaked if we sat by the pool. The cocktails are made from a machine very sugary. The breakfast was amazing as usual however lunch and tea opted for more cheaper food, the best night by far was English night and most couples agreed they did not like the other food nights as there is Mexican and BBQ etc. further more we were amongst the first to ask for a late check out (was told this) however on the day was denied late check out despite so many others who had asked after getting it making us unable to enjoy our last day. The entertainment was worse than last year, Becky was amazing with poolside entertainment bingo was fun as well as other games she included, lovely woman overall. The night entertainment was shocking compared to last year instead they opted for more singing and dancing compared to quizzes and magic shows and circus acts last year where people openly enjoyed and interacted with. Overall this year was a disappointing experience for us and we won’t be going back which is a shame because most of the staff are lovely and we love the accommodation. However with pool side rules not being enforced and music being played most were unable to enjoy their holiday as we spoke to many who felt the way we did and we was disgusted at the fact the hotel could not email back after we emailed a complaint to them as well as Tui.

We have been to this hotel 4 times now and this time we were quite disappointed with the main pool area there are two life guards that take turn on shift and each have different rules the children can’t even pay with a small hall in the pool even if just play passy she tells them to remove it some time it was only two ppl in the pool so not like it was even busy my youngest can’t swim fully so was floating around with a ring and she told me no floats this is a family hotel and the kids can’t even have fun in the pool. The entertainment is based around adults yes there is is mini disco but nothing for children over 10 years I would say, it’s a shame cos it’s classed as a family hotel, becki is lovely by no means so nothing agains her but I feel now it is more focused on adults than Children and it’s there holiday also there is an adult only area and hotel connected so I don’t see why the main hotel hasn’t more for families staying
