“Great holiday”

Amazing hotel and great facilities. The staff are so friendly and attentitve. Will be continuing to use this hotel for future holidays. Was aprwhensive to begin with however staff, premises and facilities soon made it just what i needed for a week break.

“Punches above it's weight, but food is a no-no”

All the staff were friendly, helpful and spoke excellent English. We booked the triple room as a last minute holiday (only two of us but double rooms weren't available). For the relatively low price we paid I was impressed. The room was cleaned every day and towels were generously ample and replenished. The pool and poolside was nice and never had a problem claiming sunbeds. It is close to the roadside so there is some traffic noise. Also, just on this side, there was a slight smell of sulphur in the air... which leads me to this - the gym which is accessible a level down from the pool area, carried this sulphur smell much more intensely, it was horrible to endure to be honest. We paid for bed and breakfast - this was the most disappointing factor. Me and my wife just did not like it. The food was very economic standard. Little plastic sausages and alike. When we entered the restaurant we were impressed because it looked like a feast, but everything we tried was like prison food. I ate the first two days and didn't go back for the next 6 days despite paying for it, it was that bad. That said, the whole of Playa Del Ingles was full of restaurants with imitation food. Except for Way2Brothers which is very close to the hotel, I thoroughly recommend going there. Otherwise we were happy with the hotel given it was only 3 stars, it punched above it's weight.

The beds were comfy, rooms are cleaned to an okay standard, centrally located & no fights for sunbeds. Staff were friendly enough, reception staff were incredible. That being said, the headboard behind my bed had some “suspicious” looking drip stains and the curtains also had some questionable stains on. The bathtub was big enough for an Barbie and was “maintained” by far too much filler. There is also a very strong smell of sewerage on the ground floor corridor away from the pool. My trainers were STOLEN from our room at some point during our stay (jokes on them they were fakes so enjoy!!) and being served at the pool restaurant is like watching paint dry… slow. Servatur Waikiki put this place to shame.

Hotel is situated conveniently for the Yumbo Centre, however be aware that pool facing rooms also face a busy road, so can be quite noisy. Check in was very speedy, I did the online pre check in which made it easier for the staff at the reception. Since I arrive after dinner finished, I was told that there has been some food left out in the dining room for late arrivals which is a great gesture. Room was a bit dated although clean with a very comfy bed. Be careful with the room safe, though. It would open for me after I locked it with my code the previous day so had to ask the reception to unlock it for me. It doesn’t to appear to be an unusual situation as there were signs round with the safe opening service hours. I booked half board for my stay. The waiting staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was mediocre, pretty much the same as in other hotels in the area. I liked dinners more, there was more variety. The service looked quite disorganised, some days you would checked in some days nobody cared. Also, I’m not a great fan of the situation when any drinks for dinner have to be paid for. The pool was good, plenty of sun loungers and umbrellas around. Pool bar also very good.
