This hotel is excellent value for money. In a place full of hotels, we were struggling to make a decision. We had certain requirements. We didn't want to spend a lot of money on a fancy hotel but wanted a modern looking room. We wanted to be near the sea and have a sea view from our balcony. We also wanted to have self catering amenities in our room. We had all this and more. We got a free breakfast thrown in and a great location. We were in between the noise and bustle of Playa Del Ingles and the quieter more upmarket area of San Agustin. We preferred the quieter San Agustin but both were within walking distance. There were 2 small shopping malls in both areas, a 10 minute walk away where as well as the usual shops selling clothes, there were bars and restaurants. We enjoyed long walks in both directions along the sea front as far as the lighthouse at Maspalomas in one direction to the Bahia de Feliz in the other direction. We also benefitted from having the parque tropical bus station a 10 minute walk away and were able to visit Puerto Rico and Las Palmas on the bus. The latter is well worth a visit. Other pluses, the sun beds by the pool were never too busy and because it was situated below road level we were sheltered when it became windy. Finally the staff were all lovely.

“Excellent place to stay”

Stayed in this hotel for a week - excellent location - on bus route- near beach - shopping centre etc- staff excellent especially the waiter in dining room who works very hard - always cheerful - had a lovely apartment on the 4 th floor - would recommend this hotel for a stay

My wife and I have stayed in the Veril Playa Hotel 3 times in the last 2 years, and we're returning again shortly. For a quiet holiday, the place is perfect. It is on the main flat beachside promenade, which stretches from PDI to St Augustin, so you can walk in both directions. So you have access to plenty bars and restaurants nearby. 200m from the hotel to the West, there is a lovely stretch of beach with three separate stone breakwaters, so swimming is safe and sheltered. The area is definitely not for clubbers or lively nightlife. The Reception staff are friendly and helpful, especially Luca and Francesco. We always stay on a B&B basis so that we can dine out on an evening and the Italian Ristoranto de Milano attached to the side of the hotel serves fantastic food. Don't expect the Ritz, but it's definitely a great hotel to stay in for a peaceful holiday. NB, The only negative is that the Reception staff seem to be always too busy so they rarely answer the phone. Take note folks.

“quiet hotel close to the beach”

unfortunately the hotel did not have too many customers in the period i was. For this reason, the evening meals left a lot to be desired. They were good and tasty but there was no choice. the breakfasts were impeccable
