We stayed for 11 nights in November and couldn't fault the hotel. We went half-board rather than all inclusive, we sunbathe most days up on the rooftop which we found very relaxing with great views, the bar was well priced so we had a couple of drinks up there every day. The breakfast and evening meals were outstanding with so much choice for everyone.. breakfast time they had a cook on the hotplate cooking eggs and fresh omelettes, evening meal time they had a cook cooking fish on one side and a meat on the other plus other meats and fish types on warming plates also fresh pizza constantly being made fresh. All the staff from check in right through to the cleaners were excellent and worked so hard to make our holidays as relaxing and comfortable as possible. We thank you all.

Bar staff, restaurant staff, reception, cleaning team, entertainment staff, life guards! All deserve a huge praise from management! It’s made us want to book another trip for next year! Hotel is more than adequate, facilities are fine, hotel room ideal for what you need, we had a deluxe room with sea view, beautiful views! Ideal location to go out for walks around the resort, got far from the beach and bars etc (although you do have to navigate some steep steps/slopes) Ignore some of the most recent negative reviews, we heard the way one of the negative reviewers spoke to the Jet 2 rep and hotel staff, disgusting, the holiday makers made their own decision to to the all inclusive package, they didn’t read the small print and assume premium drinks were included… NOT the hotels fault OR Jet2!!!! If you want a nice, chilled, kid free hotel I would highly recommend!

On arrival went straight down for evening meal due to been later than expected arriving at hotel Was very disappointed on grill options and other Very limited dishes available. Hoped this was going to improve. Breakfast and dinner ok Evenings didn't improve always chips and pizza and loads of salad dishes if you want these lunches and evening meal every day. Very limited dessert choices. Ended up looking at options and then eaten out 4 out of 8 for evening meal. Other board options Bar nearest reception some bar staff more interested in people paying for drinks giving tips than us on all inclusive Cocktails premade up not good at all. Not what I expected to receive. Reading hotel information provided noticed you had to pay for some clean towels Looked like you have to pay and book indoor pool through having a spa treatment. Main pool I believed was supposed to be heated but it was freezing. Room location view and standard was ok. Just floors didn't seem to be getting mopped properly as soon as we came out of the shower we ended up with black feet so had to put something on our feet. First time in adults only hotel and will be my last ,zero atmosphere and hotel in my opinion doesn't cater enough for English taste.didnt appear to be manny English people staying. If you were ticked off by room number for meal attendance they would get an idea how good meals were or not. Most staff polite, professional and hardworking. Hotel was very clean in front of house area's and restaurant. One thing we did notice no UK flag outside hotel which now tells me not really for UK holiday maker's. Went for 60th birthday and was left a bottle of wine in my room on return, nice touch. No milk and no normal tea bags just 2 bottles of water on arrival in the fridge. Had to go to supermarket nearby and purchase milk and tea bags and water also as not supposed to fill any water bottles back up restaurant when open. Never experienced this before on all inclusive board. Apart from my previous comments enjoyed my first visit to gran canaria . Nice bar called Mulligan's nearby and not expensive either.

Overall I have no complaints about the hotel, it was just the buffet (breakfast and dinner) that seemed to let it down. I travelled with a vegetarian, and for the entire week they were very limited as to what they felt they could eat. Not so much by the lack of vegetarian dishes on offer, but by the sheer level of cross-contamination between the meat and veg dishes. On the first night, a scoop of what appeared a very safe veggie option of lettuce from the salad bar ended up containing a piece of fish! (My guess is that a previous guest used tongs for the fish, where a bit of fish stuck to it, and then using the same tongs helped themselves to lettuce where the piece of fish remained only to be picked up by a vegetarian!) There were often insufficient serving tongs and consequently people were using these for both meat and vegetable dishes. For example the charcuterie board would present vegetable, meat and cheese options and in fairness they were spaced quite well apart - but then diners were presented with one set of tongs for all. The pizza area would routinely pair up vegetable/cheese pizzas and meat topped pizza on the same plate. The salad area was difficult to tell whether or not the dishes contained meat or fish and given the aforementioned lettuce scenario was given a very wide-berth! There were also some very badly placed vegetarian options right next to or in front of meat/fish dishes. For example some lovely vegetable rolls were placed directly in front of some rather juicy prawns - every diner who helped themselves to the prawns which were behind the veg rolls, would (through no fault of their own) drip 'prawn juice' all over the vegetable rolls - effectively rendering them 'vegetable rolls soaked in prawn flavoured juice'! I lost confidence in asking the food servers for veggie options when I was directed to a rice dish that clearly contained ham cubes in it, but was considered by the chef as suitable for vegetarians! It's customary these days for restaurants to indicate dishes suitable for vegetarians (V) but there appeared to be no such detail on the food indicatiors (which often weren't in line with the dishes that they were describing anyway). Overall the dining experience was a vegetarian nightmare, and for any vegans, would be an absolute horror-show! Finally it did feel a bit mean of the hotel to restrict tea and coffee on the dinner buffet (wine and beer and even fizzy drinks yes, quite understandable but a nescafe coffee machine or a tea-bag + hot water just seemed unnecessarily stingy). The rest of the hotel was a very pleasant experience and the staff super friendly and helpful. The only complaint about the room was the light from the entrance corridors (on 24hrs) shining through the bathroom windows, and where the bathroom door is glass. Consequently there's basically a fairly bright light shining into the bedroom throughout the night....an easily discovered remedy to this was to use one of the hotel's 'pool towels' as a makeshift curtain on the bathroom window, do this, and you'll get a MUCH better night's sleep.
